Somewhere high above a distant continent of Planet Kael'Ar, clouds drifted slowly across the vast blue sky.
Far below them, an enormous ocean stretched toward the horizon, its surface shimmering beneath the distant sunlight.
Britanya stood silently in the air.
Across from her, Serene hovered several dozen meters away, her pink hair moving gently with the wind as her purple eyes remained fixed upon her opponent.
For several moments, neither woman moved.
Serene eventually tilted her head slightly and broke the silence. "It seems you're not so talkative… how cold."
Britanya gave no response. Instead, she slowly inhaled. Then she exhaled.
A faint stream of frost escaped her mouth.
The temperature around her immediately began dropping.
The clouds surrounding her froze at their edges, while tiny particles of ice began drifting through the air like snow.
Serene smiled, Her aura suddenly erupted.
Heat radiated from her body with such intensity that the ocean beneath them began boiling. Waves evaporated into enormous clouds of steam, while the surrounding environment slowly began to melt beneath the oppressive temperature.
Britanya's eyes narrowed as Serene's smile widened. Then both moved.
They shot toward each other, crossing the distance in an instant.
Britanya's right palm became covered in ice as she swung toward Serene, while Serene's fists ignited with flames. Their attacks collided. The impact produced a shockwave that scattered the clouds around them.
Britanya followed with another strike. Serene blocked it. Serene retaliated with a flaming punch.
Britanya shifted her body aside.
They continued attacking one another, each movement precise and deliberate. Their fists and palms crossed through the air at incredible speed, each collision producing bursts of ice and flame.
Britanya suddenly pushed away.
Serene did the same. Britanya raised one hand. The air around her immediately crystallized. Dozens of thin ice spears materialized around her, their sharp tips aimed directly at Serene.
With a simple movement of her hand, Britanya launched them.
The spears tore through the air.
Serene responded by creating multiple spheres of flame around herself. She launched them forward, and the two attacks collided between the women.
Ice and fire exploded simultaneously. The sky filled with steam. Serene smiled and rushed through the explosion. Her fist was completely engulfed in flames.
She appeared directly before Britanya and swung.
Britanya raised her hand.
"Ice Barrier."
A wall of solid ice formed between them.
Serene's fist struck it. The barrier shattered instantly. Britanya's expression barely changed.
"Impressive physical strength."
She caught Serene's punching arm by the elbow with her left hand. Before Serene could react, Britanya used her right hand to bend the attack inward and drove her fist directly into Serene's face.
Serene's head snapped backward but she recovered immediately.
Her left palm rose in front of Britanya's face.
"Blaze."
A concentrated beam of fire erupted from Serene's palm. The attack engulfed Britanya completely. The beam drove her downward through the clouds and toward the continent below.
It struck the earth with tremendous force.
The ground erupted. A massive trench was carved across the continent as the beam continued forward, tearing through the landscape for an enormous distance.
Serene descended toward the battlefield.
Steam and smoke filled the air. She waited. The smoke slowly began clearing. Britanya stood within the ruined trench. She was still standing.
Her ice barrier gradually faded from around her body.
Only then did Serene notice the frost spreading outward from Britanya's feet.
Ice began covering the ground. Britanya raised her head. Serene's smile disappeared for a moment.
The two powers began expanding simultaneously.
Britanya's frost spread across one side of the continent.
Serene's heat consumed the other. Within moments, the battlefield had become a strange divide between two extremes.
One side was buried beneath ice. The other was burning beneath overwhelming heat.
Britanya snapped her fingers. Thin ice spikes instantly formed around Serene. Before Serene could react, they pierced into her torso.
Serene's eyes widened. The ice immediately melted away. Blood escaped from the corner of her mouth as she staggered backward.
She wiped it away and looked at Britanya.
"So that's how you want to play?"
Serene raised her hand.
"REC."
She snapped her fingers. The space around Britanya suddenly combusted. Explosions erupted from every direction.
Britanya immediately jumped backward.
Several burns appeared across her hands, but frost quickly spread over them, freezing the injuries and preventing the heat from worsening them.
Britanya lowered her hands.
Her expression became colder.
"Circuit Embodiment — Frozen Goddess."
The transformation began immediately.
Her tall black hair turned silver, strand by strand, while her eyes began glowing with an intense white radiance.
The temperature plummeted.
The air itself became difficult to breathe.
Wind swept across the continent, carrying enormous quantities of snow with it.
Within moments, half of the continent looked as though it had been swallowed by an endless snowstorm. Serene watched her transformation carefully.
Then her own power erupted.
"Circuit Embodiment — Divine Sun."
Flames surrounded her body.
Her hair ignited, becoming a mass of living fire, while her eyes transformed into blazing flames.
The ground beneath her feet began melting.
Rock turned into magma. The air surrounding her became so saturated with heat and poisonous fumes that ordinary beings could no longer breathe within it.
Britanya and Serene stared at one another.
Neither spoke nor moved Yet the pressure generated by their opposing powers continued spreading across the continent.
Then suddenly without them moving at all..Ice and fire collided in the middle of the battlefield. The impact created a massive wave of steam.
Britanya raised her hand and the heavens above her suddenly darkened.
Millions of enormous ice swords formed throughout the sky.
Their blades pointed downward.
Britanya lowered her hand.
The swords descended.
Serene planted her right foot firmly against the burning ground.
She opened her mouth.
"Breath of the Fire Sun."
An enormous torrent of fire erupted from her mouth.
The attack surged into the sky, destroying countless ice swords as they descended.
Fragments of ice rained across the battlefield.
Serene remained focused on the incoming attack.
She didn't notice Britanya disappear. A moment later, Britanya appeared directly in front of her.
Her hand reached forward.
"Frozen Touch."
Serene's eyes widened but she reacted instantly. The stream of fire coming from her mouth suddenly shifted direction, turning toward Britanya.
Ice and fire collided at point-blank range.
For one brief moment, everything became silent. Then the battlefield erupted. A tremendous explosion swallowed both women and blasted them apart in opposite directions.
