Chapter-80: using Robert's luck to gain benefits
After losing his initiative in the early stages he lost most of his luck. His luck is desperately trying to bring him back on track. To be precise the current actions are in line with the benefits that his luck gives him.
If he kills the tiger he will be able to get the bronze treasure chest. It might have the items he needed to get back on track. Unfortunately there is someone like Ratika that can control his thoughts carefully and she is not worried that it would cause trouble for her later.
If Robert really hunts down the tiger then it would be a loss instead of the benefit. After all if Robert fights with his amateur style he would damage most of the fur and other parts of the tiger.
That would be a complete loss. Ratika on the other hand wanted to scare Robert. As long as he abandons his chance and escapes using his luck it would be damaged further. Other than that Ratika might get unexpected benefits from the bronze treasure chest modified by luck.
Ratika in a way is snatching the opportunities of Robert. As soon as she shot the arrow the sound of the bow string was heard by Robert. He turned back with fright and saw the scene that he doesn't want to happen.
He did not expect that Ratika would attack first while he is still thinking of attacking her before leaving. But he did not have enough time to think as the tiger already turned its head towards him.
The arrow Ratika shot actually went straight into its ear. Even though there is the sound of the bow string the reaction speed of the tiger is also fast. But Ratika specifically deviate the angle of the arrow.
So when the tiger dodged the arrow actually hit at a place close to the location near its whiskers. They are highly sensitive area of the tigers along with its ears and paws. So Ratika shot in a way that can hit one of the two places.
Hitting this place would directly make the tiger anger and head buzzing situation. On the other hand Robert's head is also buzzing at this moment because of the sudden situation. At the moment of life and death he would not choose to attack Ratika.
Instead he would try to run towards the stairs to escape. That is the most humanly possible choice. Ratika took another arrow and ready to shoot the tiger again. This time she is very careful and hid after shooting like always.
After the first arrow she took 10 seconds before she got out checking the situation. She made sure that the tiger is pointing its head towards Robert at this moment to make the second shot. It is not towards its head but towards its ass.
Yes she is shooting towards its back hole. This is a very sensitive place and tiger did not have senses at this location to dodge in time. When it started to chase Robert, Ratika made the shot straight into its back hole.
When tiger is angry its tail lifted up. That is the best time Ratika made the shot straight into that hole. This saved Robert from fighting back and jumping straight into the stairs in a very messy state.
If Ratika did not shoot it at the right time then it would have hit Robert that wanted to jump into the stairs to escape. Because Ratika shot it inside the back hole the tiger stopped suddenly. Even monsters feel strange when they are poked at the back hole like that.
Mohini has good experience in feeling of being poked in the back hole. She got poked like this few times and it is her favorite spot. But the first time she tried she felt really strange and shocked. But the next time she enjoyed it.
The momentary stun was caused by the arrow but the luck of protagonist is in play here helping the arrow touch the right position to save the life of the protagonist. Ratika is the one that benefitted more in this situation.
The benefit she got is the huge amount of skill experience points that she got by making the right attack at the right time at the right place. Other than that the health points of the tiger dropped by a large margin.
The tiger that jumped up turned its head wanting to look at the attacker. But Ratika stayed hidden at this moment. Because it turned its head it hit the head towards the wall on the side which was coincidentally the previous arrow Ratika shot.
Because of inertial the arrow plunged deep into the head of the tiger and poked its brain directly. It is not the excellent archery of Ratika or the coincidence that killed the tiger monster. Instead it was all caused by the luck of Robert.
With his huge luck he wished to kill the tiger if he had the chance. So technically it was him that caused the tiger to die acting as the bait at the right moment. Unfortunately he did not get any benefits from the entire thing.
Since the attack belongs to Ratika and the reward experience points also fell on Ratika. As a person that participated in the entire thing Robert actually gets part of the experience points which is not actually much. It is around 15 experience points.
It is a small loss for Ratika but it solved her from fighting the tiger in front of others. If the other team comes at this moment it would be very dangerous and it would reveal the capabilities of Ratika and secrets of Ratika.
Ratika doesn't want that to happen. So she used the luck of the protagonist to solve this matter quickly. This saved her time to do other things. She saw the pouch that fell out of the tiger and went to collect it.
