Chapter 253 - What Kind of Monster Is This Kid?!

Demon Town.

In front of the casino.

The two outer members of the Donquixote Family were dressed in black suits. They looked around lazily, appearing drowsy as if they had not slept well the night before.

"Stop sleeping!"

"Someone's here!"

A voice suddenly rang out.

The two men's sleepiness vanished instantly. Their gazes sharpened as they stared at the person approaching from outside.

"Hm?"

"A Marine?"

When they saw a five-year-old Marine, both men were stunned.

At first, the moment they saw the Marine uniform, they had been slightly flustered.

But once they clearly saw the visitor's face and appearance, they quickly calmed down.

"A five-year-old Marine brat?"

"What is he doing here?"

"Does he not know this is the Donquixote Family's base?"

"Is he looking for death?"

"This brat really doesn't know fear."

The two men sneered.

Finally, beneath the dazzling, colorful lights…

Kai's footsteps slowly stopped.

He was now less than half a meter away from the casino entrance.

Blocked by the two outer members of the Donquixote Family, he had no choice but to stop.

"Brat, do you want to die?"

"Do you know what this place is?"

"I'll tell you. This is the Donquixote Family's territory!"

"If you know what's good for you, get lost. Don't waste my time here."

"Forget a five-year-old Marine brat like you—even your Marine higher-ups would have to take a detour if they came here and saw the Donquixote Family."

The two outer members clearly did not want to stir up trouble. They did not plan to attack Kai immediately, only threatening him with words.

Although Kai looked harmless…

he was still a Marine.

They worried that if they killed him, it might anger the Marines and cause unnecessary trouble.

If that happened…

as mere outer members of the Donquixote Family, they would inevitably be punished by Young Master Doflamingo.

"Marine higher-ups would have to take a detour?"

"Is that so?"

"I'd like to see…"

"where the Donquixote Family gets that kind of courage."

Kai smiled.

"Brat, don't refuse a toast only to drink a punishment!"

One of the burly men frowned, his eyes turning hostile.

Then he ordered the companion beside him, "Throw him out. Don't let him stand here and interfere with the Donquixote Family's casino business."

"Got it."

The outer member who received the order revealed a cold, sinister smile.

He walked toward Kai, intending to beat him half-crippled, throw him into some dark corner, and leave him to fend for himself.

"Brat, since you want to die, I'll grant your wish!"

When he was less than half a meter from Kai, he attacked.

His large palm slapped viciously toward Kai's head.

Kai did not even blink.

He simply stood there quietly.

Pa!

The slap landed hard on the top of Kai's head.

And yet…

Kai's expression remained unchanged. His body showed no reaction at all, and his aura did not fluctuate in the slightest.

There was not even the smallest injury on him.

"Are you done playing?"

Kai slowly raised his head and looked at the burly man indifferently.

A crimson light flashed through his eyes, carrying a vicious, terrifying aura.

Like a prehistoric beast baring its fangs.

Terrifying.

Savage.

Full of killing intent.

"Ah!"

The moment the man met Kai's gaze, he screamed and staggered backward several steps, staring at Kai in horror.

He could not believe it.

That slap had not even scratched Kai's skin.

"This kid…"

His lips trembled, and his throat went dry.

Behind him, the other member raised an eyebrow and shouted impatiently, "What the hell are you doing? You can't even deal with one brat? What use are you?"

He immediately walked over.

But before he could attack Kai…

suddenly—

Kai vanished.

The two men froze.

A chill shot from the soles of their feet to the top of their heads.

Their hair stood on end.

They looked around and saw no one.

"Wh-what the hell?"

"Is this a ghost?"

"Where did that kid go?"

"He was right in front of us just now."

"In the blink of an eye, he disappeared?"

"Was what we saw just an illusion? Impossible. I clearly touched him. He was real! We weren't hallucinating!"

The two outer members of the Donquixote Family felt a wave of fear and unease.

"Quick! Report this to the Young Master!"

"This is too strange. We have to tell the Young Master and let him decide."

Just as they were about to turn and enter the casino…

a young figure in a Marine uniform stood quietly in front of the doorway, calmly watching them.

"Are you looking for me?"

Kai smiled faintly.

In an instant…

his voice fell like a demon's whisper, making the two burly men feel their scalps go numb and their backs turn cold.

The atmosphere became eerie.

Silent.

Deathly still.

Gulp!

The two men swallowed involuntarily. Cold sweat the size of beans began rolling down their foreheads, and their faces turned pale.

"Y-you… are you human or ghost?!"

One of them cried out in terror.

"What do you think?"

Kai smiled and asked back.

Then he paused, shook his head, and spoke with a trace of boredom.

"Forget it. I shouldn't waste any more time here playing with two ants."

"I'd rather not delay the real business."

"I need to settle the Donquixote Family before Vice Admiral Tsuru arrives."

"Otherwise, wouldn't I, the youngest Headquarters Rear Admiral in history, lose face?"

As soon as his words fell…

under the horrified gazes of the two men…

Kai disappeared again.

"Finger Pistol."

A calm voice sounded beside their ears.

Pfft!

Pfft!

Blood mist sprayed into the air.

Even in the dim surroundings, the blood looked painfully bright.

A thick, metallic smell spread through the air.

"Uh… uh…"

The two burly men opened their mouths, but they could no longer speak.

They lowered their heads.

Then they saw their own chests.

A savage hole, like one made by a bullet, had appeared in each of them.

Their hearts had been pierced.

Feeling their life force rapidly draining away…

they gritted their teeth and struggled to raise their heads, staring at Kai with fear and horror in their eyes.

But all they could see was Kai already walking step by step through the casino entrance.

He did not seem to care about them at all.

So they could only barely watch Kai's back as he walked farther and farther away.

Until he vanished completely.

"This… this kid…"

"What kind of monster is he?!"

With fear and disbelief filling their hearts, the two men's eyes gradually rolled white.

Then…

Thud!

Thud!

Their cold bodies collapsed heavily onto the street beside them.

Blood flowed wildly from their bodies.

In moments, a large pool of blood formed beneath them.

The thick scent of blood drifted far away with the wind.

Two cold corpses lay in front of the casino entrance.

It was an eerie sight.

A shocking sight.

No one paid them any attention.
