"Well, that's no big deal. Didn't you mention you had an interest in plants, Miss Flos?" Still not taking her eyes off Xavier, Quinn responded to Grandma Knox's question. "Yes, I own a shop downtown. Most of the plants there are medicinal herbs, from grade A to grade D."
"Oh, isn't that wonderful? You must know a lot about medicinal plants and how to care for them. I also like plants, but I haven't gotten to the point where I can care for and extract them myself."
The dinner ended after 10 o'clock. After sending off his mother and grandmother, the general, who had abandoned his status that night and simply wanted to be a son of the Knox family, was still polite to Youna, Quinn, and Seeli. From what she saw, even though Xavier wasn't interested, the general was still polite to them.
"I'll escort you all to the front." Quinn was about to step out of the room when someone spoke from behind to her, "I'm sure you're very happy right now, aren't you?" There was no need to turn around to see who it was that was speaking, Quinn already knew just from the way the woman spoke.
"Not only Mrs. Knox, you also managed to catch General Xavier's attention even if only for a moment." Quinn paused, "You must be very proud." Youna continued.
Quinn turned to face a woman who was about the same height as her. "But let me give you some advice. A woman with a gray flower like you, you shouldn't get your hopes up. I can't guarantee what will happen when Mrs. Knox finds out about that flower on your temple." Youna glanced at Quinn's closed temple. "I've never seen anything so bad in my life."
Provoke your opponents, make them lose confidence, and then they'll back down without having to get your hands dirty. Youna wants Quinn to know her place in this election, and that even if she's made it this far, it won't last long.
To her, those who could rule were the strong, and she despised the weak. She already looked down on anyone with the yellow, blue, green, and orange flowers, and now, this woman even had a gray flower. It was truly extraordinary. She had never even known anyone had a gray flower.
So what if Quinn is capable of so much and provides so much positive value to Mrs. Knox if she's mentally and physically so poor? No one would want to bring a woman like that into their family.
The girl, who was part of the strongest squad, hoped to see the wavering in Quinn's face and eyes. She always assumed Quinn never realized where she stood. Quinn gave everyone that look, acting like she was at the top of the hierarchy when in reality, she was at the very bottom.
"Are you afraid?" the voice that came out of those pale peach lips sounded very cold, as did the look in her eyes. Even though her eyes were a very bright color, but a coldness flowed strongly from the gaze she carried. "I guess you feel worried about my presence. Don't you know that a woman with gray flowers like me will not be able to get a position in this election?" Quinn approached, the sound of her shoes was so loud along with Youna's heartbeat getting faster, was she afraid?
The black-haired woman placed her hand on Youna Scarlett's shoulder, whispering in a very low voice. "I can see what's inside your head. Do you feel threatened?" Youna stepped back and pushed Quinn away. Without realizing it, sweat was already pouring down her forehead. "Get away from me, you crazy woman!" She ran away, leaving Quinn staring blankly at the closed door.
....
"I'll be going now. Thank you for today's meal, General Xavier." Seeli, the petite young girl, bowed respectfully. She waved to Quinn, who had just emerged from the restaurant. "See you on Monday!" She said, disappearing in her spacecar, which sped away at high speed.
Youna, who had initially seemed to be having a very relaxed and enjoyable conversation with Xavier Knox, immediately fell silent upon seeing Quinn approaching. She hurriedly bid Xavier farewell. "Bye, General! Thank you for the invitation!"
"Yes. Call me when you get there. Sorry to bother you." Not unlike Seeli Snow, Youna Scarlett also quickly left the restaurant.
When Xavier turned around, he found the only person left with him. A woman with bright eyes, but with an odd aura surrounding her. It felt very cold. Even her attitude toward Xavier was cold.
"It seems you've done something to Youna, Miss Flos." Asked that, Quinn simply stood there. She stood so perfectly still, that several passersby couldn't help but stare at the two figures standing in front of the famous restaurant. The two of them stood side by side, looking perfectly matched to an outsider's eye.
Unfortunately, they had no idea how intense the tension between the two was. Both possessed powerful auras, and neither dared to approach or interrupt.
"I was just teaching your subordinate a little lesson, Mr. Knox." Quinn tilted her body so they could now see each other. "She has a bad attitude."
"Youna is a strong girl. She's not easily intimidated. You must be truly extraordinary to scare her like that. But don't worry, she'll repay you many times over soon." There was laughter with every sentence the general spoke. It was as if he was enjoying the show they were putting on for him.
"Then I will prepare myself to face your lover." Quinn had always been indifferent to every gossip she heard, however, after meeting Youna and Xavier Knox in person, she wanted to test the waters.
Unfortunately, the general didn't respond to Quinn's statement. He neither denied nor confirmed her statement. Instead, he studied her intently, as if searching for something on Quinn's face, as if digging for something.
"Have we met before? Your face reminds me of someone," asked the taller man.
"I don't know. It's a big world. Maybe we've crossed paths somewhere." After that, her escort arrived. Quinn walked in, her spacecar door already open, but she stopped to look back. "Thank you for the treat. Give my regards to your mother and grandmother, General Knox." Flashing forward, Quinn left Xavier Knox, who was still thinking about something.
