"Ku-ee~?"
Magneton stared at Scizor, only for its vision to be obscured by a pair of black pincers.
Bang!
Magneton was struck once again. The Thunder move it was preparing within the dark clouds was forcibly interrupted, and it was knocked back a significant distance.
A fresh wound appeared on its head. Sensing the advantage, Scizor showed no mercy and continued its pursuit.
"Magneton, Reflect!"
Magneton continuously retreated while its eyes emitted a white glow. Eichi's gaze remained sharp; he knew Asen was about to launch a counterattack.
A large, square energy wall formed in front of Magneton. It was transparent, with faint rainbow-colored ripples shimmering across its surface. Scizor slammed both pincers into the Reflect, but the impact only pushed Magneton back slightly.
Furthermore, it was obvious that the power of Scizor's Bullet Punch had been weakened manifold. The strike failed to cause any substantial damage to Magneton.
"Magneton, Electric Terrain!"
Countless electrical currents erupted from Magneton's body, covering the entire field in just a few seconds. Sparks were everywhere, and they quickly spread toward Scizor.
Despite trying to dodge, Scizor found it impossible to escape the spreading currents. Although the terrain didn't seem to do much yet, Scizor didn't stop. It continued its assault, rapidly closing in on Magneton to attack.
This Reflect was truly annoying. However, the move had a weakness: it only blocked attacks from the front.
"Scizor, Double Team!"
Vibrating its wings, Scizor instantly split into numerous clones.
"Magneton, Thunder Wave!"
Suddenly, a massive burst of electricity exploded from Magneton's body. The previously faint currents now surged violently. All of Scizor's clones were hit by the electricity, becoming paralyzed and frozen in place before vanishing.
Scizor's true body suffered the same fate; it was momentarily paralyzed as it approached. Nevertheless, it managed to circle behind Magneton. With lightning speed, it swung its dual pincers as white light bloomed.
A flurry of strikes rained down on Magneton.
Bang! Clang!
Scizor felt confused. It felt as though it were striking an incredibly hard metal, similar to the sensation of hitting the Reflect wall. Yet, the Reflect was clearly positioned in front of Magneton.
Eichi also noticed this strange phenomenon. Unconvinced, Scizor delivered several more heavy blows to Magneton's body.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Despite the numerous hits, Magneton didn't seem to have taken much damage. Conversely, Scizor felt a crushing pressure from outside its body, making it impossible to move.
Scizor realized the paralysis had taken hold. It immediately retreated, flying high into the sky to stay away from the currents on the ground.
"Haha, are you stupid?" Asen said with a cold sneer. "You didn't actually think Magneton's Reflect could only block one side, did you?"
"I had Magneton put it out there specifically to trick you," Asen continued. "In truth, when Reflect is mastered to its peak, it can be applied to every corner of the entire body. You're a fool for falling for it, haha!"
"Now it's my turn to counterattack. Don't worry, I'll take good care of your Scizor," Asen declared. "Magneton, Tri Attack!"
"Ku-ee~!"
Magneton spun rapidly in the air. Then, energy began to converge above its three heads. Light, red, and blue energies gathered into spheres before being fired at the airborne Scizor.
The three-colored energy pillars shot straight toward the sky. Sensing the terrifying power within, Scizor tried to dodge. However, its body suddenly felt unresponsive.
It couldn't move at all, save for the wings on its back. Scizor tried to channel its internal energy; fortunately, the energy was still accessible, even if its limbs were stiff.
"Scizor, Hidden Power!"
Scizor's eyes narrowed as it frantically channeled its internal energy. Fire-type energy particles from the surroundings flooded into its body like an endless tide.
Scizor could clearly feel the massive energy beam closing in. If it took a direct hit, it would lose at least half its life. But it was ready. Opening its mouth, a massive fireball formed and erupted into a violent, spiraling pillar of flame.
The fire pillar collided with the three energy beams just a few meters away. An invisible shockwave radiated outward in rings, reaching the ground and creating a massive storm.
The two attacks clashed, but in the next instant, Scizor was overwhelmed. Magneton's three energy pillars continuously neutralized the pillar of flame, inching closer to Scizor bit by bit.
Scizor saw this and increased its output, running its internal energy at full capacity. The crimson pillar of fire in its mouth grew a size larger.
"It's useless! How could a Scizor ever beat a Magneton in an elemental clash?" Asen said disdainfully.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we can see the situation is very unfavorable for Eichi's Scizor," the commentator noted. "Scizor is now in its most dangerous moment! Let's see how Eichi will fight back."
Many people in the audience looked at Eichi with worry. In Scizor's eyes, the three-colored energy pillars were drawing closer and closer.
Refusing to wait for death, Scizor tried to dodge, its entire body trembling.
Move! Move!!
Just as the energy pillars were only a meter away, its body finally responded. In the next instant, it created numerous clones.
The fire pillar vanished, and the energy beams struck one of the clones, destroying it instantly. Magneton then began to pivot, sweeping the beams across the remaining clones until they all disappeared.
However, the remaining Scizor charged at Magneton just as the Reflect on its body finally reached its time limit.
"Scizor, X-Scissor!"
"Cha-cha!"
Scizor used Double Team once more, flickering in and out of sight as it approached Magneton. Although the clones vanished the moment they touched the electrical currents on the ground, the goal of distracting Magneton had been achieved.
The next moment, Scizor appeared behind Magneton, electricity surging over its own body. It slammed its pincers together and slashed at Magneton. The power delivered in that instant was beyond imagination.
Bang!
Magneton was sent flying forward before stopping in mid-air. Eichi's eyes narrowed. Magneton was incredibly resilient; he had still underestimated it.
After touching the electricity, Scizor's speed suddenly dropped.
