Chapter 382 - Chapter 385: Strange Knowledge Has Been Forced In

One after another, undead warriors burning with terrifying ghostly flames broke out from beneath the yellow earth.

In Aurelian's dazed eyes, streaks of long, dim green light were reflected.

Each of these undead warriors possessed considerable strength.

Aurelian could feel the powerful aura seeping out from their skeletal bodies.

As they gathered, the ghostly green flames burned even more fiercely.

Like a restless beast, tearing its fury into a blazing wall of fire.

And the undead dragon in the sky made Aurelian tremble even more.

The pressure of the fifth tier swept across, spreading over this land of the dead.

At that moment, a faint guess formed in Aurelian's heart.

And Karin's words confirmed her thoughts.

Looking at the death row prisoners who had turned into undead warriors, the ghostly fire in Karin's eyes seemed to freeze slightly.

Her upper and lower jaws clattered together, making rapid clicking sounds.

A surge of terror burst like fireworks in her ignorant mind.

"How did Mr. Viktor release all these death row inmates?"

'Oh! My God!'

'Damn it, God of Death, this time I'm really cornered!'

Awoo!!!

At that moment, the undead dragon raised its head and let out an angry roar toward the star-filled night sky.

The surrounding sand was instantly lifted by the sound waves, and even space seemed to twist and warp as it spread outward in all directions.

It flapped its skeletal wings covered in ghost fire and charged toward the general surrounded by nebulae.

The undead warriors seemed to be stirred by the dragon's actions. Barefoot, they stepped into the sand and surged forward, taking the lead.

Warriors, assassins, hunters, cavalry, priests…

Undead warriors from all walks of life gathered their fighting spirit. Just like when they were alive, they coordinated with each other to face the powerful enemy before them.

A surging sea of ghostly green fire rolled across the endless yellow earth, as if it wanted to swallow everything in the lowest level of the prison.

Watching the undead warriors wielding swords, blades, and axes charge forward, the Meteor General also began to move.

A blazing starlight fell like a meteor, casting its glow over his body.

In an instant, his already strong arms grew even larger, as if wrapped in dense nebulae.

Patterns like carvings spread across his body, tracing over his thick and resilient form.

When the starlight faded, four more robust arms appeared on his body.

The ends of these four arms were all connected to his heart by blue threads.

Four additional thick, star-forged arms hovered in the air, their chain-like ends glowing faintly, like curtains hanging across the sky.

He stood firmly in place, raising the four suspended arms high before smashing them down toward the incoming undead warriors.

BOOM!

Dust surged into the sky under this strike. The nebula around his hands shattered, then quickly gathered again around his arms.

The rising waves of sand nearly obscured half of his body wrapped in steel and nebula.

The undead warriors were experienced. Quick-eyed and swift, they dodged the massive arms. Raising their weapons, they struck his hard body, yet it seemed to cause no damage.

Their ghostfire-burning swords and axes slashed against the steel body. After a series of banging sounds, the nebula and steel remained completely intact.

Watching the intense battle ahead, the onlookers were instead stunned.

Karin stared at the clash of nebula and ghostfire, her mouth wide open, her jaw on the verge of falling off.

Her entire skull trembled like a frightened bird.

The soul flame floating in the air flickered, and the two blazing fires in her hollow eye sockets spun along the outline of her skull, eerie and confused.

The death row prisoners at the lowest level were actually fighting against the strongest sealed entity in the prison?

Heavens, how could she be having such a dream?

Aurelian and Priscilla both watched in a daze, their eyes reflecting the spreading and gathering of the ghostly green flames.

Through her shock, Priscilla felt a surging thrill and passion.

Even as a spectator, this kind of battle deeply drew one in with its fierce, fighting spirit.

Aurelian, on the other hand, remained silent, focusing on studying the use of necromancy and the movements of the warriors on the battlefield.

Hoping to learn experience and wisdom from it.

As they watched the battle with great interest, Viktor's calm voice sounded from the side, "Do you know its origin?"

The two shook their heads, and even Karin looked at Viktor with curiosity.

Viktor gazed at the towering Meteor General and began explaining to the two and the skeleton,

"On this vast stretch of yellow sand, it is respectfully called the Meteor General."

"It comes from an extremely ancient era."

"That was a time when gods still existed."

At that time, before the establishment of the Cant Kingdom, the dominant force on this continent was once the [Nation of Stars].

This was a kingdom favored by the gods.

Its strength was such that even the current territory of the Cant Kingdom was merely one of its cities back then.

Whenever time reached a certain point, the gods would bestow the blessing of stars, helping this kingdom give rise to heroes.

The Meteor General was one of those heroes.

It possessed immense power to protect the kingdom and safeguard the token that connected to the gods.

The title 'Meteor General' came from the honor bestowed upon it by the Nation of Stars, [Guardian of the West among the Four Divine Protectors].

However, after the gods departed, the Nation of Stars, having lost divine protection and overly relying on the blessings of the stars, gradually declined.

In the end, it vanished with the wind, erased by time.

Those heroes who once received blessings also turned into stardust, sleeping within this land that had lost its vitality.

They were puzzled as to why Viktor was telling them all this.

But regardless, from his words, they felt even more deeply his vast knowledge.

He even knew such ancient matters like the back of his hand.

Meanwhile, the battle continued.

The undead warriors fought desperately against the Meteor General, while the dragon flapped its wings in the sky, spewing soul flames capable of burning everything.

Its massive claws were like blades, carving scratch after scratch onto the Meteor General's star-forged armor.

The warriors charged at the front lines, archers covered the sky with arrows, and the priests' prayers…

The priests couldn't pray. Healing magic would only cause greater harm to these undead.

So even the priests could only pick up sticks and rush forward to strike.

Watching the tearing of the ghostly green flames, Viktor spoke again, "The name Meteor General might sound unfamiliar to you."

"But its full name is Saint Gali Samuel."

Everyone froze in an instant.

'Samuel?

'Isn't that… the royal surname of the Cant Kingdom?'

BOOM!

A long, echoing crash drew everyone's attention.

The Meteor General's four pairs of massive hands grabbed the undead warriors, pressing them all into the ground and crushing them against the sandy earth.

At that moment, the undead warriors collapsed completely, many of them crushed into bone ash.

Even the ghostly flames on their bodies were completely scattered.

The dragon roared in the sky, spewing soul fire, but was suddenly seized by the Meteor General's thrown arm.

It raised its neck, the green flames bending and surging into the sky, yet it could only struggle helplessly, unable to break free.

The situation was clearly tipping to one side, yet Viktor remained calm and continued speaking about the Meteor General's history, "At the peak of this general's glory and valor, his descendants also received part of the gods' blessings."

"Until the era when the gods disappeared, they established the Cant Kingdom here, in the west guarded by the Meteor General, continuing the vitality left after the fall of the Nation of Stars."

The ranking system of nobility based on stars was also a tradition left from the [Nation of Stars].

Meanwhile, on the battlefield, the undead warriors were nearly annihilated.

Even the massive dragon was held midair in the Meteor General's giant hand, toyed with like a lizard.

Aurelian watched the fierce battle ahead, shock evident in her eyes.

Being fed knowledge while observing a battle like this really did feel incredible.

However, the terrifying power of the Meteor General far exceeded their imagination.

Those death row prisoners were clearly powerful, and even the dragon had reached the fifth tier.

Yet in this general's hands, they were like toys.

Still, she firmly believed that since Teacher Viktor remained so calm, he must have other means to turn the situation around.

Sure enough, just as the undead warriors were completely defeated, Viktor raised one hand.

"Next, I'll teach you the correct way for a necromancer to fight."

In the next second, green flames erupted from the ground out of nowhere, swiftly sweeping across the gravestones of the necromancers.

One by one, skeletal undead pulled their bodies out from beneath the earth. Ghostly green fire ignited upon their white bones, and tattered robes hung loosely as they swayed.

They all raised their heads together. The human-skin spellbooks in their hands floated into the air, flipping rapidly.

Ghostly green magic poured out from the books, surging toward the battlefield ahead.

"O souls wandering in the land of the dead, enduring suffering, even if pierced by ten thousand pains, we command you to descend once more as guardians."

"After the vast tide of death, rest shall surely be granted to you."

Accompanied by the chanting, the ghostly green magic quickly covered all the shattered bones.

The broken remains buried beneath the sand glowed with green light and floated into the air.

Then, those scattered fragments began to reassemble into skeletal forms.

The undead warriors that had previously been destroyed returned to life once more.

The dragon also turned into fragments of white bone from within the Meteor General's grasp, breaking free from his control and reforming its body high in the sky.

But necromancy was far more than just that.

The necromancers took out bells and gently shook them.

The crisp ringing sound swept across the boundless land.

Beneath the sand, within a hundred miles, hidden soul lights beneath the earth began to shine.

Countless spirits formed from ghostly green mist stood across this endless land.

They held various weapons, wore thick soul armor, and formed an incomparably vast army stretching for hundreds of miles.

Aurelian looked at this army formed from countless souls. Every pore on her body tightened, and her mind went blank.

For someone like her who feared spirits, this was nothing less than an endless nightmare.

Even though she knew they weren't targeting her, the dread still lingered in her heart.

In the next moment, the floating spirits surged forward like a tidal wave sweeping across the world.

As if they would drown the entire world with their bodies and completely bury the Meteor General.

Viktor looked at the summoned army of spirits, ghostly green starlight flickering in his eyes.
