Khael's POV
"How are you feeling now?" Darius asked from the phone as soon as I picked the call.
I am fine, I guess. The heart monitor has been disconnected but the nurse had come with some medications. I hate having to swallow any drug but I have no choice now.
"I'm fine" I replied after I spent time lost in thought.
"How is Rowan? Can you put him on the phone?". A pause followed my questions before he responded again.
"He cried himself to sleep, he said he dropped his phone while we left the hotel and couldn't tell me".
"That's bad".
"I have asked someone to get him a new one, hopefully he won't be sad anymore". He explained and talked freely as if it was a normal routine for him.
"I will call you later, rest well".
"Thank you". I said softly before ending the call.
Darius doesn't seem bad afterall, maybe I should have considered him. Maybe I should reconsider his offer, if I marry him he will treat me well and take care of Rowan too.
