Jinho woke up early to prepare breakfast for Cha.
When Cha finally opened her eyes, the room was bathed in golden morning light streaming through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors of their terrace, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the city skyline.
Scattered across the floor was a delicate trail of red rose petals. Curiously, Cha got out of bed and followed the crimson path down the hallway and into the kitchen.
There sat Jinho, waiting at the dining table with a warm smile and a lavish breakfast spread. Seeing her enter, he stood up, walked over, and handed her a single, perfect white rose.
"Good morning, my Queen."
An inexplicable wave of happiness washed over Cha at her husband's endless effort.
"You did all of this?" Her smile radiant, she looked up at him. "You're so sweet..."
"I'd do this every single day," Jinho murmured, gazing down at her.
"Every day?"
"For as long as I live, my Queen."
Cha felt like the luckiest woman alive. She had a husband who was handsome, brilliant, talented, chivalrous, kind, and endlessly romantic.
"Once we finish breakfast, get dressed," Jinho said smoothly. "We're going somewhere."
"Where?" Cha asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"You'll find out soon enough."
After finishing their meal, they set off. As Jinho drove with one hand holding Cha's tightly in his lap, his phone rang over the car's Bluetooth.
"Is everything ready?" Jinho asked the caller quietly.
Cha's confusion grew as she realized he was navigating toward the airport. When they pulled up to the terminal, a waiting attendant greeted them with two large suitcases and handed Jinho an envelope containing two tickets.
Destination: Jeju Island, South Korea.
Jinho looked over at her, a knowing grin spreading across his face. "We're going to Jeju, my wifey."
Cha's jaw dropped. "What?!"
"I know you've always dreamed of visiting," Jinho said softly. "I booked everything. Consider this our official honeymoon. Excited?"
Overwhelmed, Cha burst into a huge smile and threw her arms around his neck.
Hours later, their flight touched down in South Korea, where a private car was waiting to transport them to Jeju Island. The landscape was breathtaking—a stunning blend of coastal cliffs and lush greenery.
Jinho had rented a secluded private cottage surrounded by nature. In the center of the garden stood a exquisitely decorated table, bathed in the soft glow of fairy lights twinkling like stars beneath the open sky.
"Did you arrange all of this too?" Cha asked, looking around the breathtaking fairy-tale garden setup.
"Of course, for you," Jinho said, stepping behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist. "And this is nothing compared to what I'd do to show you how much you mean to me, my wifey... how deeply I love you."
Cha turned in his arms, resting her hands on his chest. "Why are you so cheesy? ...Not that I'm complaining," she added, leaning up to press a sweet kiss to his cheek.
Jinho smiled against her skin. "Eat up. After dinner, we're heading down to the beach. The night is far from over—there's more."
Later that evening, they strolled hand-in-hand along the quiet shoreline. The moon cast a silvery glow over the ocean, and the sky above was dusted with countless shimmering stars.
Jinho stopped walking and reached into his coat pocket, pulling out a velvet jewelry box. He opened it to reveal a delicate white gold necklace. The round pendant featured an infinity symbol etched in the center, subtly engraved with the initials: J & C.
"My wedding gift to you," he whispered.
He stepped behind her, brushing her hair aside to clasp the chain around her neck.
"It suits you," Jinho murmured into her ear, admiring how the metal caught the moonlight. "You look so beautiful."
"Jinho, this is too much..." Cha turned to face him, her voice filled with emotion. "I didn't even get you anything."
"You don't need to," Jinho replied instantly, his dark eyes brimming with sincerity. "Having you by my side is more than enough for me."
He leaned in, capturing her lips in a deep, tender kiss.
Suddenly, the night sky lit up with a brilliant burst of color. A spectacular private fireworks display exploded overhead, lighting up the beach with vibrant heart-shaped bursts.
Cha pulled back, staring up at the dazzling sky in absolute awe. Beside her, Jinho didn't look at the fireworks—his eyes remained fixed on Cha, drinking in every drop of her genuine joy.
I hope this feeling never ends, Cha prayed silently, her heart full as she looked back at him.
Seeing her smile, Jinho closed the distance between them, bringing his face mere inches from hers. Even though they were married, his intense, focused gaze still sent a electric thrill straight through her chest.
How does he do that with just a look? she wondered, her heart hammering against her ribs.
Jinho pulled her in for another deep, lingering kiss before pulling back reluctantly. "Let's head inside. It's getting chilly out here, and I don't want you catching a cold."
"Okay... thank you for everything, my Hubby."
Inside their luxurious suite, they sat together on the edge of the plush sofa. The room fell into an intimate silence, their eyes locked until Jinho broke the tension with a low chuckle.
"How about a shower?" He stood up and took her hand, pulling her toward him.
"Huh?"
"I said, let's take a shower," Jinho teased, raising an eyebrow. "Why are you looking at me with those innocent eyes? We're on our honeymoon—what do you think people do here, just stare at each other all night?"
Cha knitted her brows, pouting playfully at him.
Jinho couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Why are you laughing?!"
"Nothing... you're just painfully cute when you act shy. Come on."
He gently tugged her toward the bathroom, ignoring her breathless protests.
The next morning, Cha woke up late once again.
When she opened her eyes, Jinho was already awake, resting on his elbow beside her while holding a tray loaded with breakfast in bed.
"For my Queen," Jinho purred, a wicked glint in his eye. "Eat up so you can regain your strength..."
Cha blushed furiously and swatted his arm. "You're terrible!"
Jinho laughed, placing the tray down. "Finish every bite. We have a busy day ahead—I'm taking you to see all the best spots on the island before we fly back to the Philippines."
"Yes, boss..."
For the remainder of their trip, they explored Jeju's most breathtaking landscapes, creating unforgettable memories at every stop.
On the flight back home, Cha drifted into a peaceful sleep against Jinho's shoulder.
As she slept, Jinho gently ran his fingers through her soft hair, leaning down to press a quiet kiss to her forehead.
Sleep peacefully, my love, he thought, gazing at her serene face. I'll never tire of watching you. I'll never grow tired of loving and protecting you. I won't let anything—or anyone—ever ruin what we have.
Epilogue
One Week Before the Wedding...
Jinho walked into an exclusive jewelry boutique in the heart of the city to pick up a special order.
"Excuse me, is my custom order ready?" Jinho asked the attendant at the counter.
"Yes, Mr. Jinho. It was completed this morning," the saleslady replied politely, retrieving a velvet box from the safe and placing it on the counter.
Jinho opened the box to inspect the piece.
It was a bespoke, one-of-a-kind white gold necklace engraved with their initials—crafted from a unique design that could never be replicated.
To the rest of the world, it was just a piece of jewelry. But to Jinho, it represented the only rule he lived by: Cha was one of a kind, and she was the only one for him.
