Chapter 168 - 170 : Tsunade suffers from hemophobia

Originally promised a captain's position, after a period of cooperation with Kakashi, the Third Hokage simply allowed Arata to form an independent unit, directly reporting to the Hokage alone.
In truth, this arrangement had been Arata's own request, granting him complete freedom of movement.
Thus, when Arata arrived at the Hokage Building, the ANBU guards on duty ignored his presence, allowing him to enter the Hokage's office unimpeded.
Inside, however, Arata saw a familiar figure....a chūnin wearing a forehead protector, green vest, and bearing a prominent scar across the bridge of his nose.
He stood respectfully before the desk, listening attentively to the Third Hokage's instructions, not even turning around when the door opened.
Umino Iruka—Uzumaki Naruto's first teacher, and the earliest person in Naruto's life who genuinely cared for him. He would later have a profound influence on Naruto, even serving as a father figure at his wedding.
The Third Hokage briefly glanced at Arata before continuing his conversation with Iruka. Soon, their discussion came to an end.
Iruka bowed respectfully, then turned to leave. Before exiting, he curiously glanced at Arata, wondering who possessed the authority to enter the Hokage's office so casually.
When Arata noticed Iruka's gaze, he smiled and nodded. He held Iruka in high regard...although his strength was limited, his character was truly admirable.
Iruka was slightly startled by the gesture. He did not recognize the handsome man before him.
Yet after a brief moment, he responded with a polite smile and nod, then quietly left the office.
After Iruka left, the Third Hokage took a slow puff of his cigarette. Before Uchiha Arata could speak, he explained first:
"That child's name is Umino Iruka. Although his strength isn't outstanding, his temperament is gentle, making him very suitable to be a teacher for children.
I transferred him from his original squad and arranged for him to teach at the Ninja Academy."
"Naruto Uzumaki has also reached school age, so I asked Iruka to take special care of him. After all, once Naruto enters the academy, he will inevitably face isolation and discrimination."
"Although Iruka knows Naruto's identity, his heart is kind, and he would never harm a child. You don't need to worry."
Uchiha Arata naturally felt reassured about Iruka. After hearing the Third Hokage's explanation, he nodded to indicate his understanding.
After finishing his explanation, the Third Hokage asked curiously, "So, what brings you here today?" In his impression, ever since Arata brought Uzumaki Karin and his Mother back from Kusagakure, he had been spending most of his time with Yuhi Kurenai....going on dates, strolling through the streets, and visiting nearly all of Konoha's famous shopping and snack districts.
Uchiha Arata did not treat the Third Hokage as an outsider. He placed both hands on the desk, leaned forward slightly, and said bluntly, "Old man, it's time for you to retire."
The Third Hokage was startled. He thought Arata wanted to take over as Hokage.
After taking a deep drag of his cigarette, he replied, "Arata, you're still too impatient. Although I could announce my abdication and let you succeed me directly, the other clans in the village would never agree."
"If you want to become Hokage, you must first recruit elite members of the Uchiha clan and place them in key departments of the village.
Gradually promote their ranks and secure control of those departments. Naturally, I will assist you in all of this."
"Next, the Uchiha clan must strengthen ties with the other clans, build strong relationships, and gain their support. Finally, you must reshape the Uchiha clan's reputation. Right now, your clan's image within the village is far from ideal."
"If you forcibly take over as Hokage now, the village will descend into chaos, and internal conflict will erupt.
You may even find that I become a tool controlled by you, leading to consequences you do not desire."
The Third Hokage spoke at length, but when he noticed Arata staring at him with an increasingly strange expression, he finally stopped and asked, "Is there something wrong with what I said?"
Arata looked at him with a puzzled expression. "How did you manage to think of all that in such a short time? Or… have you already prepared to step down?"
