Chapter 238 - Chapter 203 – A Totally One-Sidde Matchup

Since she knew they weren't here to kill anyone, Eve deliberately held back. If she went all out, she could've wiped the four of them by herself.

Even so, the moment she made a move, Misteeta instantly tagged her as the real monster on the field—more dangerous than Setsuna and Lapis, even though those two were already charging straight at him.

Misteeta didn't hesitate. He activated his Sacred Gear—[Trick Vanish].

His stamina and mental strength drained away like the tide rushing out… and at the exact same time, every single one of Eve's abilities got sealed.

The holy shield on Setsuna and Lapis vanished, and the black thorns crawling along the ground scattered into nothing.

"Eh?!"

With her power locked down, Eve realized she could only rely on raw physical strength for now. And if she wanted to break free of that weird sealing effect, she'd need time.

"Now! Gandoma—right now!!"

"Ohhh!!!"

Gandoma answered with a wordless roar.

The giant looked like living bedrock. He swung arms like stone pillars and smashed down at Setsuna and Lapis.

BOOOOM!!!!

When his fists hit, the ground within a hundred meters shuddered for several seconds.

In the dust cloud that blasted upward, Setsuna and Lapis slipped aside—cleanly dodging that heavy, brutal strike.

"Stupid giant!"

Setsuna flashed a scornful grin, and she and Lapis sprang in together.

Biting frost condensed over Setsuna's claws. The instant she raked them across Gandoma's torso, his rock-like hide tore open—then freezing cold surged outward and locked half his body in ice.

Lapis's slender waist arched like a bow pulled to the limit. Her voluptuous thighs snapped out like arrows fired point-blank, exploding with ridiculous force.

Before Gandoma could properly react, her legs smashed down onto his head.

THOOM!!!

A sonic boom cracked the air. The towering Gandoma launched like a cannonball, carving a trench across the ground for over a thousand meters—plowing through the gym and taking down two classroom buildings—before finally crashing into the rubble and going still.

Staring at Gandoma—alive or dead, he couldn't tell—Misteeta swallowed hard.

The Phenex Clan played me!!!!

Who the hell said the only strong one on Takumi's side was Yubelluna? Every demon piece that shows up looks like they're stronger than me!

"…Can I surrender?"

He was only here as a temporary piece for Riser, and only because of Phenex connections. He had zero intention of dying for a boss he didn't even care about.

Even with Phenex Tears stuffed in his pocket, he didn't feel like using them. At best, it would just buy him a couple extra moves—and that wasn't worth burning a life-saving trump card he might genuinely need someday.

When he surrendered, Setsuna and Lapis exchanged a look and linked up with Takumi mentally.

Takumi's will came down through the connection. His gaze swept over Misteeta, and he calmly instructed Eve, "Use [Trick Vanish] again."

"…Huh?"

Misteeta froze.

But the moment Setsuna's icy claw slid forward—quiet, sharp, and threatening—he didn't dare stall. He activated it again immediately.

After Takumi got what he wanted, the next order came at once:

"Knock him out."

"Mm."

Eve nodded, then threw a punch through the air packed with magic—snapping Misteeta unconscious in one hit.

Looking at the fallen pieces, Setsuna and Lapis both wore the same expression: bored.

"Setsuna thinks this is lame. They're all so weak."

"Lapis agrees. It's all thanks to the power Takumi-sama gave us."

They traded a couple satisfied comments, smiling like they were genuinely happy.

Eve wasn't in the mood. She cut in immediately, "Stop talking and move. Let's finish this pointless game already."

"Mm, okay." x2

Setsuna and Lapis refocused and sprinted straight for Riser's base.

When Misteeta's squad went silent that fast, Ravel instantly broke out in a cold sweat.

"This is bad—really bad. Takumi-san has more than just someone like Yubelluna, and it's not just two or three either. Brother, our Clan intel missed something huge."

Riser—who'd been sitting there waiting for good news—couldn't smile anymore.

"How is that even possible?! Our information has never been wrong!!!"

"Brother, Takumi-san became a Demon King-level powerhouse while he's still young. How many hidden cards he's sitting on… we have no way to know."

Hearing Ravel praise Takumi like that, Riser wanted to argue but the words wouldn't come out.

Not only because it was obviously true… but because he'd just felt a violent surge of magic power outside.

"You've got to be kidding me?!"

Riser and Ravel rushed to the window together.

A massive magic circle had unfolded in midair.

It was over a hundred meters across, radiating pressure so terrifying it felt like it was brushing Demon King territory.

Standing beneath it, Freya raised her staff high, chanting under her breath.

"Seventh-tier magic—Purgatory!"

A fireball like a miniature sun emerged from the magic circle.

Freya looked like a sun priestess delivering divine punishment as she aimed it straight at Riser's base.

The barrier Ravel ordered her pieces to set up didn't last even a heartbeat—it shattered instantly.

Riser's base was swallowed by flame.

RRRROOOOM!!!

The entire pocket battlefield shook for a full minute.

Watching the battlefield nearly collapse, the spectating demons went wide-eyed and speechless.

Even Serafall clicked her tongue. "Didn't expect he'd have a mage under him this strong… and from the looks of it, she was still holding back."

Someone at Serafall's level could tell Freya restrained herself, but the other spectators only understood one thing. That mage is unquestionably top-tier Ultimate-Class demon level.

As Takumi's pieces kept revealing absurd strength, the demons present looked at him with increasing hunger and urgency.

Earlier, some of them had still been waiting and watching.

But now, one conclusion was spreading fast—they needed to stay on Takumi's good side. Even the Phenex Clan came to the same realization.

The Phenex Clan, in particular, felt relieved they'd listened to Ravel and hadn't pushed Takumi too far. They'd kept it limited to one goal: helping their son stop being the laughingstock of the entire Underworld.

So now? If Riser got cheated on, then he got cheated on.

It had only been a political match anyway—no real feelings involved.

Between letting their son eat some humiliation and making a mortal enemy out of a terrifying rising faction, there wasn't even a decision to make.

They'd swallow the humiliation.
