"Let's go." Jiang Lin turned and led Xiao Yan into the dense primordial forest.
The battle in the distance was still ongoing, but due to a change in tactics, Yun Zhi had been holding off the Purple Crystal Winged Lion King. Although the situation was somewhat disadvantageous, they wouldn't face any immediate danger.

"Sorry, Lion King, this is compensation for you," came Jiang Lin's voice from afar. The golden arrow had caught the attention of both Yun Zhi and the Purple Crystal Winged Lion King. Yun Zhi immediately understood that Jiang Lin had completed his task and was now quite far away. She took out a fragrant Sixth-tier medicinal herb from her spatial ring, tossed it into the Purple Crystal Winged Lion King's cave, and then vanished with her secret technique before the lion could react.
The Purple Crystal Winged Lion King froze for a moment, its enormous purple crystal eyes fixed on where Yun Zhi had disappeared. Then, it suddenly realized, "Damn human! I've fallen for the 'lure the lion away from the mountain' trick!"
The lion immediately swallowed the Sixth-tier herb, then turned and flew back toward its cave.

"Leaving aside everything else, the big lion's voice sure is loud." Near a secluded lake in the central Beast Mountain Range, Jiang Lin dropped Xiao Yan off, his six-leaf wings retracting before being stowed away in his space ring.
Not long after, a flash of green light appeared from the sky and landed beside the lake, revealing a graceful figure.
"Mission completed successfully," Jiang Lin said, looking at Yun Zhi, whose face had paled slightly due to excessive Dou Qi consumption. He smiled faintly.
Yun Zhi's teleportation technique was very strong, but it consumed a lot of Dou Qi. The reason Xiao Yan had found her when she was unconscious was that she had used a large amount of her energy to perform the technique, weakening herself to the point of fainting when her Dou Qi was nearly sealed.
Xiao Yan took out a purple-red crystal and handed it to Yun Zhi. She waved her hand, and the Purple Spirit Crystal flew into her hand.

The reason Yun Zhi hadn't recognized him earlier was that he had used his alias "Young Lin" in Jia Ma Empire, as his real name was "Young Lin" in the Alchemist Guild.
He hadn't even hidden the Thunder Hawk. Yun Zhi didn't immediately recognize him, which meant she wasn't very concerned about certain matters in the Jia Ma Empire. The only thing she seemed to care about was the two Xuanling Pills in Fa Ma's hands.
Yun Zhi silently stared at Jiang Lin, her lips parted as though she wanted to speak. However, she glanced at the third wheel nearby, and in the end, she didn't say anything.
"If you encounter difficulties in your cultivation, you can come find me."

Because of Jiang Lin, Yun Zhi hadn't left Xiao Yan anything. She knew that with Jiang Lin's connections, the Dou Qi armor and techniques she might leave behind wouldn't be of much use to him. Even if she did leave something, it would likely just be the techniques for Xiao Yan and the Dou Qi armor for Jiang Lin. But Jiang Lin didn't need her Dou Qi armor, and Xiao Yan probably wouldn't need her help either.
"Seeing her in that Dou Huang state, I thought she was going to kill us after the mission was complete," Xiao Yan made a neck-slashing gesture toward Jiang Lin.
Jiang Lin just glanced at him and corrected, "Correction, you'd be the one getting killed. As for me, the great benevolent person, she would just leave me as a cultivation furnace."
"Ah?!" Xiao Yan froze, then looked at Jiang Lin in surprise. "Brother Lin, your words are surprisingly fitting! If I were a Dou Huang, I'd want to capture you as a furnace too."
"Sorry, men stay away, only women are allowed to be captured," Jiang Lin rejected directly.
"Ah, Brother Lin, that's not fair." Xiao Yan sighed and laughed bitterly. Sometimes he wondered why Jiang Lin always managed to take his words in stride.
