Chapter 271: Modifying Weevil
"Ah, are you guys trying to dismantle the Undaunted?" Kurumi said, using the Fourth Bullet to restore the hole in the floor to its original state. She turned around and looked at the tall body that could only bend down to stand in the ship's cabin, "Is this Kurome's new puppet?"
"Yes." Kurome nodded, "I heard from Brother-in-law that his lower body is a weakness, and I hope Da Vinci can help modify it to fix the flaw."
"You really know how to give me more work..." Da Vinci set aside his work and walked around the large body, "Compared to his robust upper body, these thin legs are totally disproportionate. Can they support the weight of this body...?"

"That crazy scientist who is famous for creating artificial monsters?"
"Yes..." Kurumi watched Da Vinci wield the chainsaw, feeling a chill run down her spine.

After more than four hours of modification surgery, the only thing that still resembled Edward Weevil was his massive body.
A hard helmet covered his head, completely hiding his original appearance, with only his left eye visible. The empty space where his right eye would be had a scarlet light emanating from it.
The iconic crescent-shaped mustache was gone, replaced by several steel bars arranged in front of his thick lips.
His massive body was almost unchanged on the surface, but in the center of his abdomen, the cells destroyed by gamma rays were removed, and unnecessary internal organs were taken out. In their place, Da Vinci installed a supercapacitor and a laser attack device, capable of firing a powerful laser straight ahead from his stomach at any time.
Though the surface of his body didn't change much, Da Vinci removed parts of the muscles from under Weevil's skin and filled his frail legs with them. The lost portions were replaced with Da Vinci Alloy, forming a hard exoskeleton.
His previously thin legs were transformed into elephant-like limbs, completely covered with the exoskeleton.
Weevil's entire skeletal structure was replaced with the hardest metal Da Vinci could create.
Kurome's eyes sparkled as she clasped her hands together, saying, "Thank you, Da Vinci. My puppet is even more imposing than before."
"This is all I can do," Da Vinci wiped the sweat from his forehead. "I found that his brain is very small, about the size of a baby's fist, probably because of the pressure from the thick skull and muscles."
"I've enlarged his brain size and placed a large CPU inside, equipped with the computational abilities, combat experience, biological scanning, and enemy identification that I copied from Genos . He won't make any fatal mistakes in combat anymore."
"To compensate for the reduced defense due to the skull, I've added a helmet made of high-purity Sea Kings Stone to enhance his head defense, and now he's immune to Devil Fruit powers.
