Leo Walker stood frozen for a moment, his eyes darting around the small cell as pure, unadulterated panic began to take root in his expression.
He looked at Celine, his hands shaking so violently that he had to tuck them into his armpits.
"What are we going to do now?" Leo asked, his breath coming in short, ragged gasps.
"Did Adam find out the truth already? Are we going to jail for this? Please, tell me we aren't going to prison. I cannot survive in a place like that. Miss Celine, you are powerful and wealthy. You must have a way to help us. You can't let them lock us away for the rest of our lives."
