After passing through the crystal wall, he found himself floating in open space.
A massive sun burned at the centre of the system while planets revolved around it silently through the darkness.
Asteroids drifted across the void.
Dead planets circled endlessly around the star.
The structure shocked him briefly.
It was the first true planetary system he had encountered.
The clone immediately concealed itself and moved carefully through space.
Among all the planets within the system, only one contained life.
The blue planet beneath him.
Eidolon.
At that time, the severed tentacle had already suffered severe damage during the escape.
Its vitality was unstable.
Fortunately, this time, he found a human body quickly enough.
Unlike previous invasions, where he needed years to stabilise, he successfully entered a dying human body before complete collapse occurred.
That body became Kaelan Windsworth.
For the next thirty years, he quietly adapted to life within this world.
At first glance, Eidolon appeared ordinary.
Modern cities.
Technology.
Governments.
Corporations.
Hospitals.
Human civilisation looked weak and mundane.
No visible cultivation systems existed openly.
No transcendent civilisations ruled the world.
No magical infrastructure appeared on the surface.
Everything seemed normal.
But the deeper Kaelan investigated,
The stranger Eidolon became.
