[Congratulations, Host. Crew member Perona has been successfully recruited. Would you like to claim your reward?]
After battling it out for four hours straight, the familiar chime finally rang in Logan's head as he finished the last "action."
Another addition to the harem.
"Claim reward," Logan muttered smoothly in his mind, already used to the drill.
[Reward dispensed—Observation Haki: Future Sight.]
Nice.
Logan wasn't surprised at all. Since he'd already unlocked Armament Haki: Ryuo, it made sense that the advanced forms of Observation and Conqueror's Haki would also fall into the reward pool.
Observation Haki: Future Sight—being able to see moments into the future.
Just like Katakuri from Big Mom's crew, one of her top three Sweet Commanders.
After getting a feel for the new ability, Logan closed the system, very satisfied.
With Future Sight plus the boost from his lightning powers, his Observation Haki was basically perfected. As for special variants like hearing other people's inner voices—nice if he got it, but no big deal if not.
At this point, Conqueror's Haki was the only one that hadn't been fully upgraded. But with the Three-Color Haki Training Manual as backup, mastering Conqueror's Coating and "Observation Killing" was only a matter of time.
Not to mention, the New World was full of plot-important beauties he hadn't collected yet. Plenty of opportunities ahead.
And so, with that satisfied thought… the night passed quietly.
The Next Day
A hundred meters above the sea, the Ark Maxim cruised forward at a normal speed.
To avoid drawing too much attention, Logan had covered the Ark's entire exterior before heading toward the Devil's Triangle. Most of the time, they traveled on a luxury airship ten thousand meters up—spacious, private, and peaceful.
Whenever the girls wanted to feel the sea breeze or enjoy the scenery, they switched to the Ark and flew low over the water instead.
On the deck, the girls stretched out their arms, soaking in the salty wind with relaxed smiles.
Sure, the air smelled a little fishy, but it was something they couldn't experience at high altitude.
"Logan, at this speed we'll hit Sabaody Archipelago in about three days!" Nami said from where she leaned against the railing, sipping the iced coffee Sara had just handed her.
"That fast, huh… Feels like we finished the Grand Line in the blink of an eye." She rested her cheek in her hand, looking a little dazed.
The farewell with her father still felt so recent. If she told Cobra they'd be in the New World soon, he'd definitely be stunned.
"Once I finish collecting all the New World beauties, I'll take all of you around the world and hit every island we skipped," Logan promised casually.
Right now, collecting plot-important women was top priority, so he almost never stopped along the route. Whenever they passed a populated island, he'd simply note the name and leave a spatial marker behind.
Once the main quest was done, he planned to take them sightseeing properly. With teleport markers, they could save tons of time.
And if some big news broke near an island he'd tagged? He could instantly teleport there with the girls. easy.
"How many girls are you planning to… acquire in total, Captain?" Robin asked with a teasing smile as she walked over.
Instantly, all the nosy girls turned to Logan, waiting for his answer.
Logan blinked. He honestly hadn't thought about that. He just wanted to collect all of them… he'd never counted.
"Um… around forty or fifty?" he said vaguely.
"Forty or fifty?!" Tashigi tugged at the corner of her mouth, twitching.
Forget Logan Pirates—just call them the Beauty Pirates at this point.
"Captain, do you even have that much time every day?" Kalifa's gaze drifted downward for a second as she smirked.
Logan: …
"Logan, there's an island below. Go leave a marker," Nami said casually, taking another sip of her iced coffee.
"I'll be right back." Logan nodded, just as casually.
He'd already done this dozens of times; the girls were used to it by now. Unless it was a huge, lively island, they didn't bother stopping.
Nami summoned lightning and continued steering the Ark forward.
Logan, who had the Ark's coordinate mark on him, could teleport back at any moment.
No sooner had he left than the girls shifted the conversation back to him.
Time ticked by.
One minute.
Two minutes.
Ten minutes.
"Uh? Why isn't the captain back yet?!" Perona asked, holding her little umbrella, her cute face full of confusion.
Only then did everyone realize he'd been gone over ten minutes. Normally, leaving a spatial marker took a few breaths at most. Why so long today?
Suspicious.
"Let's go check," Nami decided, steering the Ark toward the island.
Another ten minutes passed before they reached it—where they immediately spotted Logan.
And next to him… a beautiful blue-haired girl in a pale yellow cropped top.
The two were chatting, the girl smiling over and over.
Instant black lines fell across the faces of every girl on deck.
Of course. They really should have known—only a beauty could make Logan stop this long.
"Let's go meet her," Nami said through gritted teeth as she guided the Ark downward.
"My crew's here," Logan told the pretty girl with a raised eyebrow. "I'll introduce you."
The girl glanced up…
And her eyes widened.
All women.And all beautiful.
Logan watched her stunned expression, already grinning inside.
When luck hits, nothing can stop it.
He originally thought it was just some random island. He didn't expect it to be Asuka Island.
The name might not ring a bell for most people.
But if you mention the Seven-Star Sword and Maya—
Yep. The beautiful girl standing in front of Logan was none other than Maya.
She only appeared in a movie, sure, but she was still one of the story's official beauties.
Collected!
And more importantly, this island held the legendary cursed holy sword—the Seven-Star Sword.
Since he ran into it, Logan obviously wasn't planning to leave empty-handed.
"Captain, what are you chatting about with the pretty girl? You look awfully happy!" The girls stepped onto the island one after another, giving Logan a teasing look.
While teasing him, they were also checking out Maya from head to toe.
Fair skin, tall figure, and aside from… well, her chest being a bit small—
Dol, Nami, Sara, and the other competitive girls instantly puffed out their own chests with pride as they strutted over.
Logan smiled at Maya. "See? It's not just me praising you. They took one look and knew you're a beauty."
Maya's cheeks flushed red.No wonder he had so many beautiful crew members—he really knew how to talk.
"Hello, I'm Maya." She stepped forward and introduced herself enthusiastically.
"Hi, I'm Nami."
"I'm Vivi."
"…"
The girls introduced themselves one by one with friendly smiles.
"Logan, you planning on inviting Maya to join the crew?" Kaya asked with a mischievous grin, pretending not to know the answer.
Logan didn't bother hiding it. He smiled at everyone. "Yeah. I already invited her."
The girls blinked.That was fast.
Maya's cheeks warmed again as she shook her head. "Sorry… I can't join your pirate crew. I… still have something important to do here."
"It's because of the Seven-Star Sword, right?"
"Huh?!"
"You know about the Seven-Star Sword too?!" Maya stared at Logan in surprise.
"Logan, what's the Seven-Star Sword?!"
"Captain, is it some famous blade?!"
"Is it strong?!"
"Is it cursed?!"
"…"
As soon as there was treasure involved, the girls bombarded him with questions from every angle.
Logan sighed. This was the downside of having too many girls on the crew—collective gossip mode activated.
Hear one tiny detail and they'd chase it to the ends of the earth.
"I've heard the legend of the Seven-Star Sword," Robin said as she stepped out, her wise eyes glimmering.
She looked around at the seemingly ordinary island and couldn't help murmuring, "So this is the legendary Asuka Island…"
"Robin, stop keeping us in suspense!" The girls urged her impatiently.
Robin nodded and explained calmly, "A long time ago, on one particular night, a red full moon appeared over Asuka Island—an event that only happens once every hundred years. The people believed the red moon would bring disaster and mutations. An ill omen."
"So the seven gods of Asuka bestowed three protective jewels and a spear upon the royal family to shield them."
"That spear," she continued, "was the so-called undefeatable blade—the Seven-Star Sword."
"An 'undefeatable blade'? What a bold claim." Kalifa snorted, unimpressed.
She'd only ever heard of the World Government being 'undefeatable,' not a sword.
If the sword really was that overpowered, someone would've taken it long ago.
Robin ignored Kalifa and continued, "At first, everything was fine. But later, the Seven-Star Sword drifted far from its original purpose. Whenever the red moon appeared, the dark power sleeping within the blade would awaken, manipulating its wielder and spreading chaos."
"As it absorbed more and more blood and grudges… the sword became cursed."
Robin's expression darkened, her gaze drifting toward Logan.
She wasn't sure if the legends were exaggerated, but she was certain of one thing—the Seven-Star Sword was ominous.
And knowing Logan, he was absolutely planning to take it.
"Seriously? It's that creepy?" Nami asked skeptically.
"There's actually a sword that scary?!" Conis shivered.
"…"
"All of it is true," Maya said quietly. Her smile faded. "Many people have died because of the Seven-Star Sword. It's become a taboo for the people of Asuka Island."
"Maya, where is the sword sealed?" Logan asked.
"Over there." She pointed instinctively, then froze and pulled her hand back as if burned.
She stared at Logan in alarm. "Wait… what do you want it for?!"
A terrible thought hit her. She stepped back in a panic.
"Are you… are you here to steal the Seven-Star Sword?!"
No wonder they knew the legend.
Of course there was a reason.
"Maya, don't be scared. We're really just passing by. We don't mean any harm," Makino said soothingly, trying to calm her down.
"Logan… maybe we should leave," Kaya whispered, tugging at his arm. "Taking the sword might really cause a disaster…"
"Captain, there are plenty of famous blades. We can find more later."
Even Tashigi, who loved swords like treasure, chose to back down.
Logan stared at the girls, speechless. "It's not as exaggerated as you think."
But Maya turned to him with anguish in her eyes. "Logan, it is. The Seven-Star Sword is cursed. Everyone who ever tried to claim it died."
Logan shook his head, voice steady. "The only reason it causes chaos is because it can influence weak-willed wielders. But it can't control someone strong enough."
He wasn't just making it up.
If the sword was really as apocalyptic as people claimed, it wouldn't still be on this island. Either the World Government would've seized it, or a Celestial Dragon would've been waving it around already.
Take Pure Gold, for example—how many people in the whole sea even knew about it?
Even the Yonko had no clue.
But the World Government had already captured Olga's father to force the secret out of him.
They'd ruled the seas for 800 years, with spies everywhere. A centuries-old cursed sword causing massacres? No way they wouldn't know.
And if the sword could dominate entire nations… would the World Government, Marines, or the Yonko even exist?
In Logan's eyes, the Seven-Star Sword was basically the same as Enma—the sword Oden once wielded.
In a world ruled by Haki, strength decided everything.
No sword could overrule absolute will.
"Wait right here." Logan's eyes sharpened, and he vanished.
Today, he planned to personally teach the Seven-Star Sword its place.
"Where did he go?!" Maya's face turned pale. "He went to find the sword, didn't he?!"
"This is bad—really bad! I have to tell Grandma right now!"
Before she could take a single step, Logan reappeared.
In his hand was a long, slender sword—black blade, glowing green veins pulsing along its center.
"So this is the Seven-Star Sword? It does look unique."
"Does it really mess with your mind?"
"It's so pretty…"
"It's glowing!"
"…"
The girls immediately surrounded him, fascinated.
Maya, however, collapsed to the ground, her face completely drained of color.
Especially when the green veins on the sword began glowing brighter. Pure terror spread across her face.
"Logan—put it back! If the dark power inside gets out, we'll all die!" she cried.
Logan didn't move. He could feel the energy inside.
She wasn't wrong—there really was an evil force inside the blade.
In the original story, Saga was corrupted by this very power, turned into a puppet of the sword.
He even wanted to conquer the Marines. Logan almost laughed.
And the sword would keep absorbing blood and hatred, growing stronger and stronger.
On the night of the red moon, the only reason Zoro managed to cut it was because Maya used sealing magic to suppress it.
Otherwise, Zoro's power back then wouldn't have been enough even if he powered up a hundred times.
As Maya stared in horror, a cloud of green mist seeped out of the sword, drifting toward Logan.
"Logan!! Throw it away!!" Maya screamed.
"Maya, relax. Watch me suppress it." Logan gave her a reassuring look.
Then his eyes hardened, and his aura surged.
"....."
