It took a whole four hours before Maya finally understood what "favoring" a woman meant.

Now that the pirate crew's lineup was complete, every woman had her own role.
So far, Logan's pirate crew had six active combat members: Nami, Robin, Tashigi, Dor, Kalifa, and Perona.
Nami: Logia-type Weather Fruit user; all three types of Haki awakened.
Robin: Paramecia-type Hana Hana Fruit user; all three types of Haki awakened.
Dor: Navy Six Styles; Observation and Armament Haki awakened.
Kalifa: Navy Six Styles; Observation and Armament Haki awakened.
Perona: Paramecia-type Ghost Fruit user; Observation and Armament Haki awakened.
On top of that, everyone was undergoing assimilation with Big Mom's physique.
With the Gravity Training Room added to the mix, the six of them were bound to level up again in a short time, giving Logan solid backup once he reached the New World.

After the short episode at Aska Island, Logan continued on his planned route. Three days later, he finally arrived at the last stop of the first half of the Grand Line: the Sabaody Archipelago.
The Sabaody Archipelago was made up of seventy-nine giant trees, each forming its own town and district.
It was the most bustling area of the first half of the Grand Line, and also the pass-through point for almost everyone heading toward the New World.

"Rayleigh, you're already retired. Don't go looking for trouble," a woman with short black hair and a cigarette dangling from her lips said lazily while glancing at the man across from her.
The man she called Rayleigh was Silvers Rayleigh himself, the former right hand of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, and vice-captain of the Roger Pirates. One of the most legendary names on the seas.
After Roger became Pirate King, he disbanded his crew. Everyone scattered, leaving the ocean to live their own lives.
Rayleigh drifted around for decades before eventually settling on the Sabaody Archipelago, spending his days drinking and collecting news from around the world. Life wasn't bad.
Of course, the Navy was fully aware that Rayleigh lived here.
A messy place like Sabaody was full of Navy and World Government informants. But because Rayleigh was old now, and because he wasn't stirring up trouble, they allowed him to stay.
Today, however, Rayleigh wasn't in a good mood. In his hand were three wanted posters for Logan.
First: exterminated the Arlong Pirates and killed Captain Nezumi. Bounty: 30 million berries.
Second: killed one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Crocodile. Bounty: 500 million berries.
Third: destroyed Enies Lobby. Bounty: 3 billion berries.
At the moment, Rayleigh was staring hard at the first poster.
He had learned about Logan when Crocodile was killed. Being so close to Marineford meant news reached Sabaody instantly.
He hadn't cared back then. As Roger's vice-captain, he'd seen all kinds of monsters rise and fall. And besides, he was getting old. No matter how talented the newcomer was, Rayleigh didn't feel like involving himself.
Until a few days ago, when he accidentally found out Logan was also the one who wiped out the Arlong Pirates.
Rayleigh had been acquainted with Hachi, Arlong's subordinate. Hachi had even saved his life in the past.
The next time he saw Hachi's name… it was in a death report.
"What do you think? Can I beat Logan?" Rayleigh lifted his head, looking at the woman smoking across from him.

Rayleigh folded the newspaper and set it aside, then took another sip of rum, calm as ever.
Shakky couldn't help letting out a helpless sigh.
Once the Dark King made up his mind, no one could change it.
Still, a faint uneasiness lingered in her chest. She hoped it was just her imagination.
"…Hm?" Rayleigh suddenly raised an eyebrow, glancing out the window.
"What is it?" Shakky asked.
"They're here." Rayleigh narrowed his eyes, a dangerous glint flashing within them.
Through his Haki, he sensed a pirate ship slowly descending from one hundred meters in the air.
Among the people he knew, only two had that ability: Logan and Shiki the Golden Lion.
And the Golden Lion preferred dropping actual islands, not ships. So that left only one answer.
After finishing his rum in one gulp, Rayleigh stood up and walked out of the bar.
Shakky watched his back with worry in her eyes.
Meanwhile, Logan and the women stepped onto Sabaody.
He had tried to keep things low-profile, but the massive Ark Maxim floating in the sky plus a man surrounded by seventeen gorgeous women made it impossible not to draw attention.
People recognized them almost instantly.
"That's Logan! He's the captain of the Logan Pirates!"
"Holy crap, he's the guy who killed Crocodile and destroyed Enies Lobby?!"
"You're kidding, right? He's the one with a three billion berry bounty?!"
"Look at all those beautiful women… they're all stunning!"
"Damn it, when is it my turn to form a crew full of hotties…"
Passersby were either shocked, terrified, or gloating as they whispered. Some bold ones openly stared at Logan's women with greedy eyes, practically drooling.
It couldn't be helped. Even though the girls were dressed modestly, beauty like that couldn't be hidden.
Especially Nami, Robin, Vivi, and Tashigi. One look and most men would lose their ability to think.
