"Kaido!" Kuzan's expression turned grim.
"That monster!" Gion gasped, a flicker of worry in her eyes. She didn't know if Jin could withstand such an attack.
"Damn... he's so strong," Smoker said, a puff of smoke escaping his lips. The overwhelming pressure radiating from the "fire dragon" in the sky shook him to his core. It filled him with a sense of shame. He was so weak compared to these powerhouses.
He clenched his fists.
I have to train harder.
Having set foot in the New World, Smoker was finally seeing what true strength looked like.
"Hey, hey, this is insane," Thatch said, wiping the sweat from his brow. "Even from this far away, the heat is incredible. It's even hotter than Ace's flames!"
"Don't say that, Commander Thatch," Teach said with a carefree laugh. But as he watched Kaido, a flicker of desire flashed in his eyes.
That kind of power, that feeling of being above it all... who didn't want that?
Would his time come?
That fruit...
"He's strong," Ace said, his expression grave. His own flames... were they really no match for Kaido's?
"Mamamama... Kaido is getting serious!" Big Mom laughed. She knew him well.
"That little brat is about to get what's coming to him," Perospero said, his voice filled with anticipation.
Jin was a thorn in the side of the Big Mom family. Every time they met, something bad happened. He'd been beaten, he'd lost a fruit, and his "perfect masterpiece," Katakuri, had been stolen away. It was a complete disaster. But he couldn't beat him. His only hope was that someone stronger would teach Jin a lesson.
The fire dragon Kaido turned to Jin and let out a blast of hot breath, a surging wave of heat. Two beams of fire, each two meters long, shot from its eyes, almost solid, incredibly menacing.
Even from several nautical miles away, the crushing pressure washed over the Empress, and Porche and the others trembled with fear.
Haki!
Robin and Brook thought, their minds reeling. Just his presence was enough to make them feel powerless, irresistible.
The World's Strongest Creature.
It was no exaggeration.
On the conning tower, Jin turned to face Kaido. He stood tall, as unmovable as a pine tree, his expression still calm.
"So you're against it, Kaido?" he asked, his tone relaxed.
He radiated an exceptional aura.
Even as Kaido's killing intent, his roiling heat, surged toward him like a tidal wave, a tangible force that was about to swallow him whole...
Even as Doflamingo would have been scared half to death...
He stood tall, calm and composed, and asked a simple question.
That presence alone was admirable.
Porche and the others were captivated. Carina's fox-like eyes shone with a strange light.
In that moment, the Four Emperors, the Marines, everyone who had gathered here... all their eyes were on him.
The World's Strongest Creature vs. the King of Paradise.
"And what if I am?" Kaido's voice was like thunder, his presence as sharp as a blade. "Take one hit from me, and I'll do you that favor."
He might have been a brute, but he was no fool. He knew that the current situation was not ideal for an all-out brawl. So he gave himself an out.
Jin smiled. "One hit? I can take a hundred."
Kaido's eyes turned cold.
King, Queen, Jack, and the other members of the Beasts Pirates were all stunned. The words were unbelievably arrogant.
"Your king is something else," Ulti said, her eyes lighting up. "Daring to challenge Kaido. I like him."
Uta pouted. "You'll have to get in line. There are a lot of people who like him. It's probably not your turn yet."
"Oh? You like him too?" Ulti asked.
Uta ignored her.
Jin's gaze swept across the assembled fleets.
"To be honest," he said, his voice calm, "the so-called Four Emperors... are nothing special."
His words were amplified by the speakers, and everyone heard. A stunned silence fell over the sea.
What?? The Four Emperors are nothing special??
Smoker nearly bit his tongue off. Gion choked.
Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Shanks all turned to look at him, their expressions displeased.
The crews of the Four Emperors, and the other pirates who had gathered to watch, all stared in disbelief, a wave of shock and outrage washing over them.
A flicker of fire in Kaido's eyes. He didn't attack. He had never heard such a thing. It was beyond arrogant; it was insane. And he wasn't the only one who had been insulted. Kaido was actually curious to hear what else Jin had to say.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?" he growled.
Jin faced the Four Emperors, completely unfazed, and began his lecture.
His gaze first fell upon the Whitebeard Pirates.
"Whitebeard is old."
"Hey! What did you say??"
"You bastard! How dare you talk about Pops like that!"
"Don't get too cocky!"
The Whitebeard Pirates were furious.
"Whitebeard's loneliness is something none of you can comprehend," Jin continued, his voice cutting through their anger. "Because his 'sons' only know how to call him 'Pops'—not one of them is capable of shouldering the future. Yes, I'm talking about you, the ones who are shouting right now. At your age, Whitebeard was already a legend. And you're still hiding under his wing like a bunch of chicks. Aren't you ashamed?"
The Whitebeard Pirates were stunned into silence. They wanted to argue, but they couldn't find the words. The division commanders lowered their heads in shame.
For once, Whitebeard didn't defend his "sons." Jin's words had struck a chord.
The loneliness.
The worry for the future.
Whitebeard couldn't allow himself to die. He had to keep going, afraid that if he were gone, his "sons" wouldn't be able to survive the storms of the New World.
If it weren't for that, he would have preferred to die in battle, or a meaningful death like Roger's, rather than clinging to life with all sorts of medicine.
The Whitebeard Pirates were silent.
"Damn... he shut them down with just one sentence." The spectator pirates were buzzing with excitement.
Jin then turned to the Big Mom Pirates. "Big Mom is sick. Blessed with immense talent, yet she has no ambition for real progress."
"You're too arrogant, brat!" Big Mom roared, unable to take the insult.
"I'm just stating the facts," Jin said, already turning to the Red-Haired Pirates. "Shanks is missing an arm. He calls himself the 'freest pirate on the seas'... but usually, the more you want something, the more you lack it. It seems your 'freedom' isn't so free after all. A man who gambles his hopes on the future... and on someone else. You're just... average. You don't know that my fate is in my own hands..."
Shanks's face darkened. If Uta weren't here, he would have already drawn his sword.
Kaido, on the other hand, was laughing. This was hilarious. He was enjoying watching Jin tear into the other three.
"And finally, you, Kaido!"
Kaido stopped laughing. What's he going to say about me?
"With that big, stupid grin on your face... are you an idiot?"
Kaido's expression turned cold.
"Of the Four Emperors, you're the worst," Jin said. "All that power, and not an ounce of real vision. You're the 'World's Strongest Creature,' and all you do is play these petty little games. Whitebeard has his sons. Big Mom has her family. Shanks has his crew. What about you? What do you have? Brothers? Are all your 'brothers' really on your side? A daughter? I hear she wants to take your head... You're a failure. Your life is a failure."
