Chapter 104 - Chapter 104 — Borreload Front-Tooth Dragon: You Said I Couldn’t Kill You?

I know you're curious—so let me show you.

You Ye wasn't surprised by the frown on Albaz's face.

Information asymmetry itself was power.

As he spoke, You Ye pulled a card from his hand and declared:

"I activate the effect of Chaos Dragon Levianeer from my hand.

This card cannot be Normal Summoned. It can only be Special Summoned by banishing LIGHT and DARK monsters from my Graveyard."

"I banish the LIGHT monster White Dragon Wyverburster, and the DARK monsters Black Dragon Collapserpent and Absorouter Dragon, to Special Summon Chaos Dragon Levianeer from my hand!"

As he slammed the card onto the Duel Disk, a colossal dragon appeared—

white wings veined with cyan light, a jet-black body radiating oppressive power.

Chaos Dragon Levianeer

[Dragon / Special Summon / Effect / DARK / Level 8]

ATK 3000 / DEF 0

With a wave of his hand, You Ye continued:

"Levianeer's effect applies based on the Attributes of the monsters banished for its Special Summon.

Since I banished both LIGHT and DARK monsters—

I can destroy two cards on the field without targeting!"

"So this is your real trump card…" Albaz muttered grimly.

"The monsters on the field before—were just decoys."

He had no answer to Chaos Dragon Levianeer.

Branded Beast couldn't negate it.

Branded Retribution only negated Summons.

Still, doing nothing was not an option.

"I chain—C2—activate Despian Quaeritis's effect!

All monsters on the field except Fusion Monsters Level 8 or higher have their ATK reduced to 0 until the end of the turn!"

"C3—Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon!

I negate Quaeritis's effect, then I can return a card to the hand without targeting!"

Watching this, You Ye felt only pity.

What had once been a long, grindy resource war—

had now become a one-turn kill.

This was the cruelty of chain interactions.

Chain Resolution:

C3: Rindbrumm negates Quaeritis and bounces Chaos Dragon Levianeer

C2: Quaeritis's effect is negated

C1: Levianeer destroys the face-down Branded Retribution and the Continuous Trap Branded Beast

"You have no interruptions left now," You Ye said with a smile.

"Sit tight and watch me build my board."

Albaz's expression darkened.

Only now did he understand—

You Ye's real target from the beginning was Branded Retribution, followed by removing another backrow.

Instead, Albaz had panicked and lost all three interruptions at once.

Now all he could do…

was praying You Ye couldn't finish the game this turn.

If You Ye failed to kill—

Mirrorjade's End Phase effect would trigger,

and Albaz could still turn the tables next turn.

As Albaz clung to that hope, You Ye began moving again.

"I activate the Field Spell Boot Sector Launch!"

"Boot Sector Launch effect—Special Summon one Rokket monster from my hand.

I Special Summon Rokket Tracer!"

"Rokket Tracer's effect—once per turn, I target one face-up card I control. Destroy it, then Special Summon a Rokket monster from my Deck."

"After this effect resolves, until the end of the turn, I can only Special Summon DARK monsters from the Extra Deck."

"I destroy Thunder Dragon and Special Summon Rokket Recharger!"

"I use Rokket Tracer as Link Material—Link Summon Absorouter Dragon!

Then I use Rokket Recharger as Link Material—Link Summon Guardragon Pisty!"

"Guardragon Pisty's effect—once per turn, I target one banished or Graveyard Dragon monster, and Special Summon it to a zone with two or more Link Monsters points to."

"I target my banished Bystial Druiswurm—Special Summon!"

"I Link Bystial Druiswurm and Guardragon Pisty—Link Summon Dillingerous Dragon!"

"When Bystial Druiswurm is sent to the Graveyard, I target one of your monsters and send it to the Graveyard!"

"I send Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon!"

Seeing this, Albaz froze—then suddenly smiled.

The surrounding spirits also showed joy.

Only Ecclesia, who had just stepped forward, looked worried.

They all knew—

Mirrorjade's farewell effect was terrifying.

Albaz spoke with renewed confidence:

"You Ye… what a shame.

I thought I had lost—but it seems the outcome of this duel is still uncertain!"

As Mirrorjade was dragged into the Graveyard, Albaz immediately declared:

"Since Mirrorjade was sent to the Graveyard—

Its End Phase effect will activate!"

"Have you considered," You Ye replied calmly,

"That whether it activates… doesn't matter anymore?"

"Impossible," Albaz insisted.

"I've seen your cards. Except for a few, I know all of them.

You cannot kill me this turn."

"Then," You Ye smiled,

"Watch carefully."

"I activate Absorouter Dragon's effect—

Once per turn, I target one face-up monster I control and one Rokket monster in my Graveyard."

"I destroy Dillingerous Dragon and add Rokket Recharger to my hand!"

"When Dillingerous Dragon is destroyed while I control a Rokket monster—

I Special Summon it from the Graveyard!"

"Return—Dillingerous Dragon!"

"Appear—

Circuit that illuminates my path to the future!"

"Three or more Effect Monsters!"

"I use Dragunity Knight – Romulus (Link-2),

Dillingerous Dragon (Link-2),

and Absorouter Dragon (Link-1)!"

"Pierce the sealed world with overwhelming firepower!"

"Link Summon—LINK-5!"

Borreload Front-Tooth Dragon

A monstrous dragon whose upper body was almost entirely composed of cannon barrels descended upon the field.

For a moment, its eyes showed confusion—

an unfamiliar Duelist, an unfamiliar place.

Then the Duel Rules filled in the blanks.

This human Duelist…

was already dominating the field.

Since when were Rokket Duelists this strong?

Perhaps—

Instead of finding weak Duelists…

Shouldn't my archetype choose him instead?

Borreload Front-Tooth Dragon

[Dragon / Link / Effect / DARK / LINK-5]

ATK 3500

"Borreload now?" Albaz frowned.

"This doesn't feel as threatening as Chaos Ruler…"

But the surrounding spirits grew serious.

Even as a projected summon—

This dragon was no ordinary existence.

You Ye continued calmly.

"Borreload Front-Tooth Dragon's third effect—once per turn:

I target one Effect Monster on the field and one Rokket monster in my Graveyard."

"The targeted monster's effects are negated.

The Rokket monster is Special Summoned.

You cannot respond to this effect."

"I target Rokket Tracer on the field and Rokket Recharger in my Graveyard."

"I negate Tracer and Special Summon Recharger!"

"I Synchro Summon—Level 8!"

Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon

Chaos Ruler excavated five cards.

You, Ye, added Bystial Saronir to his hand.

"Bystial Saronir—banish your Albion the Shrouded Dragon to Special Summon!"

"I Normal Summon Rokket Tracer!"

Then—

You Ye looked toward the Abyssal Beasts.

"Let the newborn god resonate with abyssal monstrosities—

howling in despair!"

"Declare the end of the world in a more grotesque form!"

"Synchro Summon—Level 10!"

Bystial Dis Pater

The Abyssal Beast itself appeared on You Ye's Duel Disk.

The Abyssal Beast blinked.

Wasn't I spectating?

Why am I on the field?!

And—

A human summoned me?!

Albaz's expression turned grave.

If not for Branded's Fusion lock,

he would have run this monster, too.

Now—

Survival was the only concern.

"Bystial Saronir's Graveyard effect—send Branded Regained to the Graveyard."

"Dis Pater's effect—target one banished LIGHT or DARK monster and Special Summon it."

"I Special Summon White Dragon Wyverburster!"

"I discard Thunder Dragon—Special Summon Thunder Dragon from banished!"

"Then—Thunder Dragon Colossus Special Summons itself!"

"Finally—Chaos Dragon Levianeer's effect—banish three DARK monsters to Special Summon!"

"Battle Phase!"

Albaz smiled faintly.

He can't kill me.

You Ye, smiled back.

"You think my ATK isn't enough?

That Mirrorjade will wipe my board?"

"Let me explain Borreload Front-Tooth Dragon."

"Effect 1—Continuous:

It cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, and cannot be targeted by monster effects."

"Effect 2—Continuous:

It can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each."

Albaz's face went pale.

Everything clicked.

"You won…

from the moment Levianeer resolved."

Borreload Front-Tooth Dragon annihilated the field.

You Ye won the duel.
