"I surrender. Let's start the second duel."
After a moment of silence, Angel Statue looked at their hand, then at the two monsters on Yu Ye's field, and declared surrender.
Yu Ye had obviously searched for a key card this turn. On the next turn, he could activate it, and the play would end the duel instantly.
As for Yu Ye's deck, he wasn't an idiot. The Fusion Materials included the monsters on the field—he could fuse Xiaomi into another monster without affecting himself.
Why watch Yu Ye's play?
Simple: he was a Dragonmaid duelist. In a few turns, he'd use four or five "bullets," plus the resistances on his field. Who could survive that?
Watching for a proper play was only necessary if he didn't have enough "bullets." Did he need to? No.
"Oh? You won't fight to the end?" Yu Ye asked, surprised.
"Why persist? There's no chance of winning. I'm not like those human duelists who cling to some inexplicable bond until the very end." Angel Statue replied, disdain clear in their tone.
"Alright, then. Let's go."
Yu Ye nodded. Personally, he liked opponents who surrendered when they couldn't get past a play.
Forcing a duel was just a waste of time—completely unnecessary.
B.O.3: Second Duel, Officially Begins.
"Ha! Human duelist, even the gods can't save you this time. Get ready for the third duel!"
After drawing five cards, Angel Statue, who had been somewhat serious, now grinned with excitement.
"Maybe, who knows. By the way, my draws and Standby Phase are fine." Yu Ye looked at his hand and also smiled.
From his confident expression, it was clear: he had drawn α plus either β or ζ, and at least one backup card.
Even without an Extra-Terrestrial Dragonmaid, his field setup would be strong.
Though in this scenario, "bullets" were limited.
"Then don't blame me!"

Seeing Yu Ye inactive, Angel Statue continued:

His eyes then flicked toward Yu Ye. The duelist's intuition told him: Yu Ye had drawn Little Mermaid again and was waiting to chain with his on-field monster effects.
Everyone present and the spirits were watching Yu Ye.
They were eager to see if he would, like before, replicate the opponent's turn expansion and win again.
"You already know everything, yet you don't preemptively summon Light Announcer? So you do have something in hand."
Seeing Yu Ye so confident, he smiled.
"You'll chain?"
Angel Statue admitted it, their eyes challenging Yu Ye: Do you dare chain this time?
"Of course," Yu Ye said calmly. "I chain my hand, Little Mermaid; she Special Summons, then stacks three!"
Yu Ye's chain resolved. Angel Statue, unexpectedly, did not chain, so effects processed: c2 Little Mermaid Special Summons and stacks three, c1 Priestess stacks Rainbow Light Announcer.
Everyone's eyes went to Yu Ye's graveyard, curious what he had stacked this time: Shadow Lizard, Siren Mermaid, Red Mermaid.
Seeing the pile, Yu Ye smiled. More fish are better; just stacking freely worked.
He hadn't expected Shadow Lizard, but since it was already stacked, why not make Xiaomi? It wasn't his loss.
Angel Statue then spoke:
"Effect of Rainbow Light Announcer: search a Ritual Monster and add it to your hand!"
Yu Ye pointed to the graveyard and announced:

"This is the moment I was waiting for. I chain my hand Graveyard Pointer, targeting your Shadow Lizard, banishing it; its effect is negated until the next turn!"

Yu Ye was slightly surprised, but more so that Angel Statue chose not to target Siren Mermaid.
"Hahaha! Now you can't make Middrash!" Angel Statue boasted.
Yu Ye rolled his eyes. Making Xiaomi wasn't mandatory—just optimal for a T0 lock.
Chain resolution:
c5 Graveyard Pointer resolves, successfully banishing.
c4 Fusion of Siren Mermaid and Red Mermaid into Narcissus Mermaid.
c3 Shadow Lizard effect is negated.
c2 Red Mermaid stacks two.
c1 Rainbow Light Announcer adds Electronized Angel – Benten to hand.
Seeing Desire Dragon and Snow White in the graveyard, Yu Ye activated Narcissus Mermaid's effect:
"Effect of Narcissus Mermaid: search 1 Pearl Tear field card from the deck or send it to the graveyard."
"I chain Graydle Slime from hand to negate your search to the graveyard!"
Seeing Yu Ye still activating effects, Angel Statue knew this card couldn't resolve and quickly chained Graydle Slime.
"Gray? Why not chain earlier?"
Yu Ye was surprised. Little Mermaid would have been a better target, but Angel Statue explained:
"I wanted to prevent further expansions in your field/hand. She was the bigger threat, so I used her first."
"I see."
Yu Ye nodded. Red Mermaid could have been summoned in the Main Phase, but she hadn't been.

c2 Graydle Slime resolves.
c1 Narcissus Mermaid search is negated.

"Meteor!? Do you have Meteor? And you timed it perfectly! Except for the card I drew via Dragonmaid – Sky Chef One δ, you left it until the last moment to activate?"
"Weren't you afraid I would greedily summon Light Announcer first, wasting your Meteor?"
Seeing Yu Ye's hand, the Angel Statue was stunned.
Only now did they realize Yu Ye had been waiting until just before the Light Announcer would resolve to maximize Meteor's effect.
At this moment, Chang Xingge smiled smugly beside them.
"Simple. This deck belongs to Senior Yu Ye. Whatever you attempt, Senior Yu Ye already knows!"
"Wait, it's yours?" Angel Statue was even more shocked. "You have Electronized Angel, Announcer, or Dragonmaid fields?"
"No." Yu Ye shook his head. Slowly, with a strange smile, he said: "Who told you you need that field to know how to develop it?"

Seeing no further timing, Angel Statue felt relieved. Yu Ye wouldn't suddenly pull a surprise move.
Now it was their turn to act.
They revealed two cards:

Angel Statue declared with a smile.
Yu Ye observed quietly. Considering the resistances, Angel Statue managed two three-color "Kangs," an accelerated Link, and a secondary banish resistance.
Not bad. They even knew to Link Summon Little Night Knight to banish Narcissus Mermaid; the duel would have been boring.
Though the result difference was minimal, two bullets essentially nullified.
Without Extra-Terrestrial Angels, Light Dragonmaid was simply too weak.
"My turn, draw."
Yu Ye glanced at the card, regret flickering. Had he drawn this earlier, the duel would have ended instantly.
Still, he quickly devised a breakthrough, and both entered Main Phase 1.
"I Normal Summon Reno Hart. Once per turn, I can overlay a core family monster."
"Truly absurd monster. I didn't mistake the previous duel surrender!"
In the last duel, Yu Ye had searched this card. Using its effect smartly, surrendering was wiser than struggling.
He could overlay a lower-level Fusion from his deck with Xiaomi on the field, summon a new monster, and avoid self-blocking!
This duel differed from the last: with three resistances, Yu Ye had an absolute advantage. No hesitation, he chained.

Yu Ye looked at him, asking if he would "Kang" it.
"No, Kang. Pass." Angel Statue decided.

Yu Ye looked again at the Angel Statue.
"Kang!"

Angel Statue reasoned: whether Yu Ye retrieves Little Mermaid now via Little Night's effect or later via Light Announcer, he'd stack three regardless.
Stacking three = T0 Xiaomi first turn. As a second player… who knows what's coming.
"You're out of bullets, right?"
Yu Ye smiled, revealing a card from hand slowly.
"I activate hand Spell Angel's Offering, draw three, discard two!"
