Ethen's body rapidly expanded as he leapt out of the observatory and landed heavily in the swamp.
He transformed into—
Way Big.
At the same time, an equally dazzling pink light erupted beside him, condensing into the towering figure of a female Way Big.
Two giant's standing side by side.
The sight alone was overwhelming.
"ROOOAR!!"
The Crystal Tardigrade, its massive body fully crystallized and grotesquely swollen, let out a ferocious roar, locking onto the two giants as prey.
"Ethen." The female Way Big clenched her fists, her expression resolute.
"Is this monster our opponent?"
"That's right," Way Big replied coldly.
"We'll take it down—like Ultraman fighting a kaiju."
The two giants advanced.
Whoosh—BANG!!
Way Big stepped forward and slammed a straight punch into the Crystal Tardigrade's torso!
Nothing happened.
Not even a crack.
The female Way Big gritted her teeth, leapt high, and delivered a powerful flying kick!
Still nothing.
The Crystal Tardigrade didn't even flinch.
Instead—
It opened its mouth.
Countless razor-sharp crystal shards erupted outward like a storm!
Way Big jumped back to avoid them.
The female Way Big twisted mid-air, narrowly dodging.
The situation reversed instantly.
They were being suppressed.
"…System," Way Big muttered.
"Are you sure this thing is only worth 50 reward points? Vilgax was worth sixty."
"Ding. The host will understand if he continues fighting."
…Still playing riddles.
Inside the observatory.
Ben stared in disbelief, his eyes wide.
"That… that Water Bear thing is actually suppressing Way Big?! Is this real?!"
Gwen fell silent, her worldview shaking.
"Dr. Animo…" she murmured.
"He failed to win the Nobel Prize… yet he created something this absurd."
She had read countless books.
Studied countless scientists.
Compared to this—
They all felt inadequate.
Dr. Animo raised a finger arrogantly and pulled out another small glass container.
"Humans always ignore what is tiny," he said manically.
"But it is precisely those insignificant things that kill you when you least expect it. Just like those idiots on the Nobel committee."
With a deranged laugh, he slammed the container onto the telescope.
The DNA chamber roared back to life.
"Stop!!" Gwen shouted.
She thrust her staff forward, a violent gust of wind surging toward Animo—
But Animo swung his steel gorilla arms, unleashing a barrage of shockwave punches!
The winds collided, barely canceling each other out.
"It's not your turn yet," Animo said calmly.
"Ben—now!!" Gwen shouted.
"O-Okay!"
Ben Tennyson swallowed hard and carefully tapped the Omnitrix.
At the same moment—
Crack!!
The glass container shattered.
A bullet ant inside began expanding uncontrollably.
Its body stretched several meters long.
Its carapace thickened into armor.
Its face became monstrous and horrifying.
Then—
Its body turned plant-like.
And then—
It burst into flames.
"I call it," Dr. Animo said proudly, "the Undead Ant."
RUMBLE!!
The Undead Ant shot forward like a cannonball, charging straight at Ben!
Whoosh!
A green flash erupted—
Four Arms appeared, colliding head-on with the monster!
BOOM!!
The Undead Ant slammed into Four Arms and pushed him straight out of the observatory, crashing through trees behind it!
"DAMN IT—LET GO!!"
Four Arms punched again and again, smashing the Undead Ant's body apart—
Only for the plant flesh to regenerate instantly.
The creature became even more violent, plowing through trees as flames scorched Four Arms' fur.
"UGHH!!"
Pain twisted across Four Arms' face.
For a moment—
Ethen was suppressed.
Ben was suppressed.
Both fronts were losing.
Dr. Animo spread his arms, laughing hysterically.
"See? Even those overlooked can create technology that kills the arrogant! First you—then the Nobel Prize committee!!"
"You belong in a mental hospital!" Gwen shouted.
She raised her staff and fired a blazing fireball!
"Excellent," Animo said calmly.
"Your opponent is me."
He sidestepped effortlessly, avoiding the fireball.
He fixed Gwen with a sharp, calculating gaze.
"I am also a new life form," he said hoarsely.
"The most intelligent one."
"Stop lying to yourself!!" Gwen chanted rapidly.
The sleeves of her robe morphed into blood-red tentacles, lashing violently toward him!
Dr. Animo walked forward casually.
Each step—
Each shift of his body—
Perfect evasion.
Fireballs.
Gale winds.
Every spell was read in advance.
Every weakness exploited.
"If that's all you have," Animo said coldly, "you'll never defeat me."
Gwen's face tightened.
"Oh no…"
She finally understood.
Because Ben usually used Gray Matter like an idiot, she had underestimated it.
But Animo—
With Gray Matter's DNA—
Had become a combat genius.
"Now—take this."
Animo suddenly lunged forward and delivered a precise, crushing punch!
Gwen couldn't dodge.
She slipped—
PFFT!!
Her body crashed through the floor and slammed into the ground below.
"Ow…" she groaned, coughing dust.
"…Thanks, lucky girl charm."
The charm on her chest glowed faintly.
Dr. Animo looked down at her, eyes cold.
"Luck doesn't save you forever."
That gaze—
Sent a chill down Ben's spine.
At this moment—
Every member of the Tennyson group had fallen into a disadvantage.
