"Finally, it's the finals. The battle between Konoha's three strongest Genin—now this is exciting," Darui said, looking down at the three below: Boruto and the others.
"Even though they're just Genin, look at their combat power. Aside from Mitsuki still holding back, just look at Boruto Uzumaki," Kurotsuchi noted, narrowing her eyes.
"Honestly, I get the feeling that if I went up against Boruto myself, I might not even win…"
"Boruto Uzumaki's power is frightening," Chōjūrō added.
"During his school trip to the Hidden Mist, he defeated Shizuma and those Seven Ninja Swordsmen without taking a single hit. Now? I can't even imagine how much stronger he's become."
Boruto's past battles flashed through their minds—each one handled with ease, as if he'd been playing around.
Whether it was Taijutsu or Ninjutsu, he never once looked serious, leaving his true strength a complete mystery.
"Boruto," Sarada said, smiling as she adjusted her glasses. "Mitsuki and I will team up to fight you. Any objections?"
"None at all," Boruto replied with a smirk.
As Rock Lee raised his arm to signal the start, his loud voice echoed through the arena.
"Begin!"
"Fire Release: Great Fire Dragon Technique!"
Sarada launched the opening move. A massive crimson dragon of flame roared forward, scorching the air as it advanced.
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"
At the same time, Mitsuki unleashed a fierce gust of wind. The two techniques collided midair and merged, forming a raging wind-and-fire dragon that hurtled straight toward Boruto.
"They're going all out from the start," Boruto said with a grin.
He snapped his fingers. "Spiraling Defense!"
A white-blue vortex of rotating chakra expanded around him, completely swallowing the oncoming dragon.
Within seconds, the swirling defense tore the combined jutsu apart, scattering it into sparks and drifting wind.
"Adamantine Sealing Chains: Chains of Heaven!"
Behind Boruto, dozens of golden chains materialized, whistling through the air as they shot toward Sarada and Mitsuki.
The two dodged quickly, weaving around the battlefield to avoid being restrained.
Sarada clicked her tongue. "Seriously, how are we supposed to fight this?"
"Even without using the Tenseigan, his defense is impenetrable," Mitsuki muttered, frustrated. "Without Sage Mode, there's no way to break through Spiraling Defense."
"If Boruto wasn't holding back," Sarada sighed, "we'd already be chained up."
Finally, she looked at Boruto and raised her hand in surrender. "We give up."
"Yeah," Mitsuki agreed. "There's no point continuing."
"Huh? You're done already?" Boruto dismissed his Spiraling Defense and tilted his head, puzzled.
Sarada gave a helpless smile. "If we kept going, we'd probably end up destroying the entire arena."
"The match is over!" Rock Lee shouted. "The winner—and first place—is Boruto Uzumaki!"
"Big brother got first place! Mom, look! Big brother won!" Himawari cheered from the stands.
"That's right," Hinata said softly, smiling as she stroked her daughter's hair.
"Congratulations, Naruto," Gaara said, glancing at him. "You've raised quite a son."
Naruto chuckled. "Yeah, Boruto's a good kid… just a little mischievous sometimes—"
He suddenly froze, his expression darkening. A terrifying surge of chakra pierced through the air.
Naruto looked up sharply—and saw them.
High above the arena, Kinshiki floated in the sky, carrying Momoshiki on his back.
"What's wrong, Naruto?" Gaara asked, sensing his tension.
"They're here…" Boruto muttered, his expression turning grim. "Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki and Ōtsutsuki Kinshiki."
Across the stands, ancient chakra flared as others turned their gaze upward.
"Brother…" Tobirama murmured to Hashirama.
"So they've finally come—the Ōtsutsuki," Madara said, narrowing his eyes as he felt the overwhelming pressure.
"Minato!" Kushina called out.
"Yes," Minato replied darkly. "The Ōtsutsuki are here."
"Finally found it."
Kinshiki descended slowly, still carrying Momoshiki, as their feet touched down in the center of the arena, stirring clouds of dust.
The villagers gasped in confusion.
"Who are they?! They just dropped from the sky!"
"Boruto…" Sarada whispered, instinctively stepping back. "Who are they?"
Before she could react, two figures appeared in front of her and Boruto—Naruto and Sasuke—standing firm between them and the invaders.
Meanwhile, six others appeared at the arena's edge: Minato, Kushina, Mito, Jiraiya, Tobirama, and Tsunade, all forming hand seals.
"Six Red Yang Formation!"
Six crimson pillars of light erupted skyward, linking together to form an enormous barrier that encased the entire arena, cutting it off from the outside world.
"Evacuate the villagers—now!" Kakashi ordered sharply.
"Yes, Sixth Hokage!" several ninja responded, quickly ushering the audience toward the exits.
Within moments, the stands were cleared.
Momoshiki glanced around, unimpressed. "A barrier, huh? How troublesome… such persistence from these lower beings."
"Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki. Ōtsutsuki Kinshiki," Sasuke said in a low voice, eyes narrowing.
"Oh? You insects actually know my name?" Momoshiki sneered.
Suddenly, a purple-black distortion appeared before him—space itself rippled as a man stepped out.
Menma.
"Oh?" Momoshiki raised an eyebrow. "Space–Time Ninjutsu? And who might you be?"
Menma stared him down, expression blank. "Who I am doesn't matter. What matters… is that I'm going to kill you—or die trying."
