Chapter 180 - Chapter 179: Just Like When We First Met

Although the battle between Naruto and Sasuke was incredibly fierce, it wasn't as tragic as in the original story—where each had lost an arm.

As the morning sun slowly rose, that epic clash finally came to an end.

The Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, once again descended into the world using Obito's body.

With a gentle wave of his hand, he extracted the other half of Kurama from Minato's body, simultaneously dispelling the Edo Tensei.

What followed was the heartfelt farewell between Naruto and his father, Minato.

Watching Naruto bid farewell, Sumire Kakei's eyes welled up. Tears quietly rolled down her cheeks.

Boruto noticed her expression and gently asked, "What's wrong, Sumire?"

Seeing his concerned gaze, Sumire quickly shook her head, her voice trembling softly.

"Nothing, Boruto… I just—can I stay in this time and space for a few more days?"

Boruto smiled and nodded. "Yeah. I was planning to stay a bit longer anyway. There are still a few loose ends to tie up."

Three days passed in a blink.

At the entrance of Konoha, Naruto held Hinata's hand, looking fondly at Boruto, who was preparing to leave.

"Boruto, it's time to say goodbye…" Hinata's voice carried gentle reluctance.

Boruto smiled. "Yeah, Mom. Just like when we first met."

He recalled the day his parents first saw him—the surprise, the warmth, the nervous joy—and a comforting sense of nostalgia filled his heart.

Then Boruto turned to Naruto. "Dad, before I go, I want to give you something special. A belated birthday present—three days late."

He raised his right hand, curling it into a fist, and held it out toward Naruto.

Naruto blinked in surprise, then grinned and bumped Boruto's fist without hesitation.

"Happy birthday, Dad," Boruto whispered with a small smile.

Before his words even faded, his body flickered—and disappeared like a phantom, leaving behind only a faint golden afterglow.

Naruto and Hinata exchanged confused looks.

"He's gone? Where's the gift?"

Naruto stared at the empty space in front of him, a strange sense of loss washing over him.

But then—purple spatial ripples spread through the air. Out of that light stepped three familiar figures: Minato Namikaze, Kushina Uzumaki, and Jiraiya.

"Mother! Father! Pervy Sage!"

Naruto's voice trembled, eyes instantly filling with tears.

Kushina's eyes reddened the moment she saw him. She rushed forward and hugged Naruto tightly, as though she could melt him into her arms.

Feeling the warmth of his mother's embrace, Naruto's voice broke.

"Mother… Father… you—"

Kushina smiled through her tears.

"Naruto, we're back. Boruto resurrected us."

Hinata, standing beside them, was also overcome with emotion.

She took Naruto's hand and whispered softly, "Naruto… this is wonderful."

Naruto held onto his parents and Jiraiya, afraid the moment would vanish if he let go.

He took a deep breath to steady himself.

"Boruto… thank you. This is the best gift I've ever received."

Far away, Boruto silently watched the touching reunion from a distance.

He smiled faintly, "In this world, Neji's still alive… Minato, Kushina, and Jiraiya will all get to attend Naruto and Mom's wedding this time, huh?"

Then his thoughts turned serious.

"Let's see—Urashiki's corpse and a pair of Rinnegan… Obito's corpse and his Mangekyō Sharingan… and Madara's body with his Rinnegan as well."

He already had a plan for them: to hand the corpses over to Yakushi Kabuto for experimentation.

Later, deep in a forest in the Land of Fire, a faint golden light shone as the turtle-shaped treasure tool unfolded.

A powerful radiance enveloped Boruto, Sumire Kakei, and Sarada Uchiha.

In an instant, the scenery changed—the sky filled with countless stars and flowing streams of light.

"We're going back," Sarada said softly, her eyes tinged with reluctance and nostalgia.

"Oh right, Sumire," she asked, "where did you go these past few days?"

Sumire's gaze softened with quiet emotion. "I went to see my mom…"

Sarada's expression shifted slightly. She looked at Boruto, her eyes filled with complex feelings she didn't voice.

Boruto, of course, heard everything—but said nothing. He simply kept his eyes fixed ahead.

As the ground beneath them vanished, Boruto expanded his repulsive and attractive forces, surrounding all three of them in a protective field.

The stars and streams of light around them began to blur and twist, space and time folding together.

Suddenly, a faint, tender voice echoed in Boruto's mind.

"Don't… Don't go, Boruto…"

That voice—so clear, so full of emotion—sent a chill down his spine.

"That sound again… who's calling me?" he wondered, glancing around. But all he saw were the shifting lights and Sarada and Sumire beside him.

Then—

"Boruto!!!"

The heart-wrenching cry rang out again.

Boruto's vision swam; his head pounded. His consciousness blurred as everything around him dissolved into colorless darkness.

Meanwhile, far back in the Warring States Period, within the Uchiha Clan's underground prison…

The sealed cell was covered in countless paper tags. Behind them, chained to the cold floor, sat a young girl in tattered clothes.

Her long black hair spilled across the ground like a dark river, and her tired eyes glimmered with a depth of despair far beyond her years.

Suddenly, a blinding white light filled the cell.

A moment later, Boruto's body fell from above, crashing heavily to the ground—like a meteor dropped into the darkness.
