Shen Mingxiao and Luo Song were immediately dazed by Xiao Lu's poison, and Song Jie emerged from the shadows with a grin.
"Haha, it just fell into my lap!"
Without wasting time, he called Ai Tutu and asked her to bring Mu Nujiao along. At the same time, he also dialed Mo Fan's number.
The Shadow Demon Beast was far too large—Mu Nujiao and Ai Tutu couldn't possibly transport it alone.
Song Jie himself couldn't appear openly, but Mo Fan had his Summoned Beast, the Nether Wolf Beast, which would be perfect for the job.

"You actually caught the Shadow Demon Beast!?"
"Hurry up and get here. I've sent you the location," Song Jie urged—he was still waiting for his greatsword and maid outfit!
After a while, Mu Nujiao and Ai Tutu arrived.
Ai Tutu pointed at Shen Mingxiao and Luo Song lying on the ground. "What happened to them?"
"Nothing serious. They just accidentally fainted," Song Jie replied casually.
Ai Tutu rolled her eyes at his obvious lie but said nothing more. Both of them turned their attention to the Shadow Demon Beast sprawled out unconscious before them.
"It really is the Shadow Demon Beast!" Ai Tutu exclaimed joyfully, immediately snapping a few selfies with it.
"Song Jie, isn't this… kind of wrong?" Mu Nujiao asked hesitantly.
"Wrong? I found a demon beast I couldn't handle, so I called for help. You two came, and it just happened that this was the Shadow Demon Beast Dean Xiao mentioned. Then you captured it. Perfectly reasonable and logical!"
He gave her a thumbs-up. "See? Makes sense, right?"
Ai Tutu laughed. "Song Jie is right!"
Mu Nujiao sighed. She wasn't the kind to argue endlessly, so she just accepted it silently.
"But this guy's huge," Ai Tutu said, frowning. "How are we supposed to get it back to the school cage?"
That was the main issue. The assessment required them to capture the Shadow Demon Beast and confine it in the school's Summoned Beast cage.
"Brother Jie!!"
A voice called out from outside the warehouse.
They all turned toward the entrance and saw Mo Fan.
Ai Tutu didn't know Mo Fan, but Mu Nujiao had heard Song Jie mention him before, so she had an idea of who he was.
"Why is this guy here?" Ai Tutu asked, puzzled.
Song Jie chuckled. "Mo Fan and I are from the same hometown. We were classmates before."
"What!!" Ai Tutu's eyes widened. No wonder he was so confident when they made that bet earlier!
Song Jie ignored her suspicions and turned to Mo Fan.
"Brother Jie, what do you need me for?"
"See that Shadow Demon Beast over there?"
Mo Fan's eyes widened. "Holy crap, so it's here! I've been searching for it forever!"
Song Jie smiled slyly. "Those two can't bring it back alone. You have a Summoned Beast—so given our relationship, I figured you wouldn't mind lending a hand, right?"
Ye Xinxia's your sister, so that makes me your brother-in-law. Isn't it normal for brothers to help each other?
Mo Fan thumped his chest. "Brother Jie, I'll never forget your kindness!"
"Good. Tonight, the three of you will take it back," Song Jie instructed.
"Understood!" Mo Fan nodded firmly. If this assessment succeeded, they'd earn time to cultivate in the Three Step Tower—the dream of every student!
As Song Jie's gaze swept across the warehouse, it landed on Ai Tutu.
She immediately avoided eye contact, because she knew exactly what he was thinking.
Once Mu Nujiao, Ai Tutu, and Mo Fan left, Song Jie returned to his apartment, satisfied. The maid outfit and great massage were practically guaranteed now!

The next day, because Ai Tutu and Mu Nujiao had returned to school late after escorting the Shadow Demon Beast, they slept until noon.
Song Jie was on the sofa eating takeout when Ai Tutu suddenly rushed downstairs in a panic.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"My brother's here…" Ai Tutu said quickly as she headed for the door.
Her brother? Ai Jiangtu!?
Song Jie put down his food, stood up, and followed her.
A moment later, there was a knock. Ai Tutu hurriedly opened the door, smiling brightly.
"Brother!"
Standing at the doorway was Ai Jiangtu—dark-skinned, composed, and sharp-eyed. Song Jie greeted him politely with a faint smile.
Ai Jiangtu gave a brief nod to his sister, then turned his gaze toward Song Jie.
"You're Song Jie?"
"That's me."
"I'm Ai Tutu's brother, Ai Jiangtu."
Their eyes met, neither willing to back down.
Song Jie had faced worse pressures before, so he didn't flinch.
"I've heard of you," Ai Jiangtu said calmly. "You saved Oil City."
"I just went to deliver a message," Song Jie replied evenly.
"Saved Oil City? What's that about?" Ai Tutu asked curiously.
Song Jie smiled. "That was a long time ago. No need to mention it."
Hearing his humble tone, Ai Jiangtu's impression of him improved slightly. Most people would boast endlessly about such achievements.
Ai Tutu nodded, deciding to ask about it later. "Brother, why did you come all of a sudden?"
"Didn't you say before you wanted to come home? I came early to pick you up," Ai Jiangtu said. "Everyone at home misses you—and they're worried you'll get bullied outside."
"No one dares to bully me." Ai Tutu pouted, sneaking a glance at Song Jie.
"That's good," Ai Jiangtu replied, then looked at Song Jie. "Thank you for looking after my sister."
"We help each other," Song Jie said lightly.
"If you want to stay in Magic City a few more days, I can wait," Ai Jiangtu added.
Song Jie immediately perked up—his maid outfit and greatsword hadn't been fulfilled yet!
Ai Tutu noticed his expression and smirked mischievously.
"No, my family misses me too much. I'll go pack my things right away."
She shot Song Jie a triumphant smile before heading upstairs.
The maid outfit had slipped right through his hands!
