Chapter 285: Talent
The small interlude in the team didn't affect Dana's mood; accurately speaking, he was even happier.
Maybe decades later, Obito Uchiha could inherit Kakuzu's legacy, telling everyone he met that he once exchanged a blow with Yotsuki Dana and only lost by three inches.
The kind where he got penetrated by three inches.
That poor guy walked clutching his butt the whole way. Who knows if it will affect his sleep tonight?
The Konoha people didn't say anything. Leaving aside that Dana was the guy who had dismantled half of Konoha, everyone knew Obito's level of cluelessness.
After half a day, the group finally arrived at Sunagakure before sunset.
The person welcoming them at the gate was the familiar face, Rasa.
Rasa glanced at Yotsuki Dana in surprise. He didn't expect this guy to arrive so early, and he was even more surprised that Dana could fly. However, the priority was to settle the contestants first.
"Contestants, please follow me. I will take you to the accommodation area. Yotsuki-dono, please wait a moment. Someone will escort you to the Kazekage building. The Mizukage-dono of Kirigakure has also arrived; there will be a banquet tonight."
Dana smiled and nodded.
Hiroto led the Cloud contestants away, fulfilling the responsibility Dana had last time. Dana waited for less than five minutes before someone came to take him to the Kazekage building.
This time, Dana was on the same level as the Kages of other villages, representing both Kumogakure and the Land of Lightning, so Suna naturally treated him with importance.
In the Kazekage building, Dana met the Third Kazekage and his old acquaintance, the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura Karatachi.
The two exchanged a subtle glance, saying nothing, and no one noticed anything amiss.
After attending a boring banquet that evening, there was nothing else to do. The official opening was in three days, when the high-ranking officials from other villages were expected to arrive.
Early the next morning, Dana enthusiastically strolled around Sunagakure. Of course, he wasn't completely free; several Suna ninja followed him closely.
Sunagakure had a unique style. The buildings looked like urns or mausoleums. The biggest failure was that all buildings were the color of sand, making the view incredibly monotonous.
But thinking about it, they chose this godforsaken place to build a village because it was easy to defend and hard to attack. Naturally, they couldn't make the village buildings conspicuous; blending in with the desert was the best choice.
As for the food, it was interesting. There was something that looked like a bullfrog, but the owner explained it was a lizard. Dana frowned and tried a few bites; it was surprisingly delicious.
So he opened up his palate completely. With his strong constitution, he tried everything—scorpions, lizards, fruits he had never seen before.
Dana's towering figure attracted a lot of onlookers. After all, Suna's average height was at the bottom among the Five Great Villages.
Sitting at a roadside stall drinking cactus juice and enjoying a type of fried fish—unknown if it was a desert specialty, but it was crunchy—Dana's ears twitched. He turned to look.
Old acquaintance Minato Namikaze, leading the three brats, seemed to be heading for this shop but hesitated upon seeing him.
Dana waved. "I don't eat people, and I'm not a butcher. You guys standing there makes the owner think I'm scaring away his business."
Minato hesitated for a moment but brought the three kids in. The expressions on the three children were distinctly different.
Kakashi feigned calmness.
Might Guy looked adoring.
And Obito clutched his butt, feeling bitter inside.
If I had known, I wouldn't have pestered Minato-senpai to take us out to play. I didn't expect to run into this demon.
Dana flashed a "crooked mouth war god" smile at Obito, scaring him back three steps. Minato subtly stepped between them.
Bullying kids was fine, but once an adult stepped in, he would stop.
Minato said, "Yotsuki-dono has the mood to taste Suna's delicacies?"
Dana replied, "Nothing else to do, right? Since I can't compete. Are you the only one from Konoha? No Elder sent?"
Minato didn't answer directly. "Obito was mischievous yesterday and caused you trouble. Obito, come apologize to Yotsuki-dono."
Under Dana's amused gaze, Obito waddled forward clutching his butt, bowed hastily, and ran back.
It seemed that poke yesterday had given the fearless brat some psychological trauma.
"These three guys are too young, right? Did they even graduate? Are they here specifically for training?"
Minato smiled. "Kakashi and Guy are geniuses who graduated early. Young people should see the outside world more to broaden their horizons. Rankings aren't that important."
Kakashi retorted unconvinced, "Who says? We came aiming for the championship! As long as Obito doesn't drag us down, Guy and I can definitely get a good ranking."
Obito, being called out, instantly flared up, forgetting his fear and starting to argue with Kakashi.
Dana found it very fresh to see Kakashi with a personality so different from the original timeline.
"Quiet down, you're in someone's shop..." Dana interjected.
Unexpectedly, amidst the argument, Obito got itchy again. He pointed at Dana's nose and shouted, "What are you arrogant about, you Purple Moon Demon! One day I will defeat you! Avenge the village! And become Hokage!"
This bear child never learns. Pointing and yelling at someone far older and stronger than him.
Dana laughed in anger. He decided to tease him again. Deliberately revealing a mouthful of white teeth, he said savagely, "Defeat me one day? Then I can't let you live."
Without warning, Dana mobilized his aura. His massive body twisted, and he threw a fist larger than Obito's head straight at Obito's face with terrifying momentum.
Just the wind pressure from the fist distorted Obito's face. Obito felt the fist filling every corner of his vision.
His body screamed signals!
DIE! DIE! DIE!
Cannot move! Cannot react! Cannot defend!
Obito's mind went blank.
Dana naturally just wanted to scare him, calculating the punch to stop at the tip of his nose. But in his vision, Minato suddenly touched Obito. The two vanished for an instant, reappearing beside Guy, several meters away from Dana.
Dana raised his eyes slightly, looking at the guarded Minato.
I just wanted to tease Obito, but I didn't expect to probe out something incredible.
Minato also realized he might have overreacted. The chance of the opponent killing a child in public in Suna was low, but he dared not gamble.
"Even if it's teaching a child a lesson, Yotsuki-dono's move just now was a bit scary."
Dana waved it off. "Just wanted to scare him. The kid is too loud; wanted him to be quiet."
However, when he looked at Obito again, he froze.
The boy looked terrified and dazed, but his eyes were red and tearing up. A single tomoe spun in each eye socket.
Guy, who was comforting his friend, also noticed. "Obito! You awakened the Sharingan!"
Obito finally reacted, looking blankly at Guy. "Really?"
Dana was thoughtful.
Just one scare, and he stimulated a single tomoe? Isn't this talent miles ahead of Sasuke? Isn't this stronger than Itachi the Kinslayer?
As expected of a single-celled organism. A moment ago, he was so scared he almost wet his pants; now that he knew he awakened his eyes, he was boundlessly excited.
The Uchiha clan valued the age of awakening highly. Generally, the earlier one awakened, the better the talent. He was only a little over seven years old this year.
"I really am a genius!"
Just as Obito was gloating, the restaurant owner finally brought Dana's main course.
"Desert Steel Pipe Roasted Chicken! Please enjoy!"
Dana's appetite was whetted. Ignoring Obito, he turned his attention to the food.
Watching the roasted chicken on the plate, completely impaled from bottom to top by a steel pipe, Obito felt a phantom chill in his butt again.
Especially when someone grabbed the chicken's two legs and tore them apart, left and right.
Obito's excitement faded. His face turned pale, he clutched his butt, and obediently sat in the corner.
"This guy is too terrifying... cannot be fought..."
