Daughter Island waters
The scale of the battle escalated with the sudden appearance of Navy Admiral Kizaru.
Alongside Kizaru came a fleet of ten top-level naval warships, rushing toward the battlefield at full speed. They would reach the coast of Daughter Island in less than ten minutes.
Unexpectedly, Hawkeye Mihawk, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and the world's greatest swordsman, also appeared.
This was a pleasant surprise for Victor. After all, the agreement between him and Hawkeye had not been finalized, and Hawkeye had not officially joined the pirate group. Normally, he should not have intervened.
"Hawkeye, are you going to be an enemy of justice too? Don't forget your identity as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea!"
Admiral Akainu glared fiercely at Mihawk. If not for him, Victor might have been severely injured!
"Did I ever say I wanted to be your enemy? I just want to see a fair fight."
The world's number one swordsman, Hawkeye Mihawk, with his sharp yellow eyes, faced both Akainu and Kizaru calmly, alongside Victor.
"Do you know the consequences of this, Hawkeye?!"
Akainu's expression darkened. Hawkeye was incredibly powerful, and it wouldn't be difficult for him—or Kizaru—to hold Victor back. If Hawkeye intervened, whether Victor could be executed became uncertain.
"I don't want to cause trouble, but I have to handle this man's affairs. We have an agreement. Maybe he will become my captain soon!"
Hawkeye never glanced at Victor, but "that man" clearly referred to him.
Akainu and Kizaru froze, stunned by Mihawk's words.
Did they hear that correctly?!
The world's number one swordsman was saying he might join Victor's pirate crew!
"Victor… that's terrifying. To be able to make Hawkeye Mihawk say something like that in public!"
Kizaru muttered in disbelief.
Victor didn't expect Hawkeye to act so boldly in front of Akainu and Kizaru. Perhaps it was just the confidence and attitude of the world's strongest swordsman. Either way, it was beneficial to have him on Victor's side.
However, Victor's main concern was not the two top naval warriors in front of him, but the fleet rapidly approaching Daughter Island. Once it reached the island, Hancock and her forces would face a massive burden. They might not hold out long before being overwhelmed. The entire Daughter Island would be in danger.
Victor had to find a way to destroy the incoming fleet in one fell swoop.
"Did you foresee this? Victor! Amazon Lily will eventually be destroyed by the Demon Slayer Order, and it's all your fault!"
Akainu's gaze mocked him. Even with Hawkeye's help, Amazon Lily's destruction seemed inevitable.
"Oh? Are you so sure? Red Dog, it seems the beating you got at Marineford wasn't painful enough!"
Victor sneered. He had already thought of a plan to deal with the fleet.
"You're looking for death!"
Akainu roared, sending a Pluto Dog straight at Victor's face. But Victor had already kept his distance, dodging with a flash of lightning.
"In order to prevent me from using thunder on the fleet, you deliberately kept the warships at a distance?"
Victor observed the approaching naval fleet. As soon as it neared the coast, the ten top ships spaced themselves out and bombarded Daughter Island's port.
The fleet had maintained this distance specifically to prevent Victor from using his thunder attacks. Even with Hawkeye's help, Victor could not strike the fleet effectively without Akainu and Kizaru intervening.
"Lin Qi! I can only create one chance for you to attack!"
Hawkeye Mihawk noted the situation. It was tricky, but he had confidence that Victor had a way to handle the fleet.
"You said we might become partners. How could I let my partner face two opponents alone? Let's fight together, Hawkeye!"
"Is that so? Then let's fight together!"
Hawkeye Mihawk, rarely smiling, hadn't felt the camaraderie of fighting alongside someone in a long time. Normally, he disliked trouble. Their prior agreement with Victor was half true, half false. Yet the words Victor had spoken while saving the man with long earlobes touched him. He chose to act.
Perhaps he wouldn't officially join the pirate group after winning this battle, but for now, he was willing to fight as Victor's partner.
"Thundercloud Weather!!"
Victor no longer hesitated. The naval fleet was pressuring the port, and it had to be neutralized immediately.
He produced a weather stick and pointed it to the sky. Thunderclouds rolled out, spreading over a large area. The system-made weather stick was extremely effective, condensing rolling thunderclouds above the battlefield.
"Is this going to…!?"
Enel, fighting Bondi Wald, was startled. As a Thunder Fruit user, he immediately understood Victor's plan: he aimed to destroy the naval fleet!
"Are you trying to destroy the navy fleet, Victor!? I won't let you succeed!"
Akainu didn't know Victor's exact plan, but the appearance of thunderclouds was clearly a bad omen for the navy.
Dog bites Red Lotus!
Pong!
Akainu launched forward at extreme speed.
Victor, driving the weather stick to condense the thunderclouds, had no choice but to use his sword Thunderstorm to resist. Akainu's punch knocked him several meters back. A few drops of magma splashed onto Victor, causing him brief pain.
"As expected of a Red Dog! His bite hurts!"
Victor endured. Though he suffered minor injuries, his strategic objective had been achieved. Akainu was indeed powerful—Victor had wanted to send lightning at him but was blocked by magma. This was the first time Victor failed to ambush someone with this move.
No matter. The trend was set.
"Enel! It's your turn to show the navy the terror of the Thunder God!!"
Victor shouted.
"Understood, Captain!!"
Enel grinned coldly, forced Bondi Wald back, and flashed into the air. Thunder surged around his body, lightning gleamed in his eyes, and he raised his palms to the sky. Endless thunder poured from his body into the clouds.
