William's figure merged into the shadows of the alley, as if he had never appeared.
Deadpool was still gesticulating wildly, performing his incomprehensible victory dance.
Moon Knight stood like a statue, silently watching the incapacitated Hydra Soldiers, seemingly considering whether to finish them off one by one.
Only Peter Parker stared blankly in the direction William had vanished, his mouth forming an 'O' shape under his mask.
Peter felt as if his brain had been filled with a whole bucket of cement—heavy, chaotic, unable to think.
He had always thought William was just a well-informed 'middleman' with a mysterious background, a broker who thrived in the Superhuman World.
But now, it seemed this man himself was the most terrifying trump card.
William, of course, had no idea how much psychological impact he had caused the young neighborhood hero.
He was currently moving through the steel jungle of New York City, enjoying an unprecedented sense of freedom and exhilaration.
He no longer needed to cautiously hug the walls, nor did he need to constantly guard against stray bullets and debris falling from the sky.
The entire city transformed into a giant playground in his eyes.
Tactical Vision mapped out the optimal routes for him.
Radar Sense allowed him to preemptively avoid all surveillance cameras and potential dangers.
Superhuman Strength and the Super Soldier Serum granted him unparalleled mobility.
He sprinted vertically up the side of a building.
Just as he was about to reach the top, he exerted a sudden burst of power.
His body, like a cannonball, soared across nearly a hundred meters of street.
He landed precisely on the rooftop of another skyscraper opposite.
The wind howled at high altitude, fluttering the hem of his black trench coat.
He stopped at the edge of the building, looking down at the war-torn city below.
Once, he would have felt his own insignificance and unease.
Now, he felt only a magnificent sense of control over everything.
Money power is nothing; Superhuman Power is the truth!
He suddenly thought of Jessica Jones.
That woman always hid herself behind a wall of thorns and a mouth full of curses.
She was one of the few people who made him feel a genuine connection since he came to this World.
Although most of their relationship was built on alcohol, contract, and hormones.
"contract, locate Jessica Jones for me."
"[contract: Cross-referencing multiple dimensions of city surveillance networks, communication signal base stations, and encrypted police channels... Target locked. Hell's Kitchen, Clinton District, West 49th Street.]"
"[contract: Warning! High-intensity firefight detected in this area, energy reaction level is 'Moderate Danger'. According to police communications analysis, a 'Highly Coordinated Vigilante Group' is engaging unknown armed individuals in this area.]"
William's brows furrowed.
It seemed Jessica's trouble was far greater than what she had described over the phone.
Without hesitation, he adjusted his hood and leaped off the rooftop edge once more, like a black falcon, silently gliding towards the war-engulfed district... Hell's Kitchen, West 49th Street.
The area had completely devolved into a warzone.
Luke Cage, like a black iron tower, blocked the entrance to an alley with his body.
His already tattered yellow T-shirt was riddled with bullet holes, but the bullets only sparked off his skin, unable to cause him any harm.
"Danny! How are things on your side!" Luke roared, punching a HYDRA Soldier who tried to ambush him from the side, smashing him and his gun into the wall.
"Not so good!" Danny Rand's breathless voice came from deep within the alley.
The glow of his Iron Fist had dimmed considerably, and each punch was far less powerful than before.
Around him lay a dozen ninjas of The Hand, but more ninjas were constantly emerging from the surrounding rooftops and shadows.
"Damn it, are these bastards on drugs? They just keep coming!" Jessica Jones used an abandoned police car as a shield, pushing it forward aggressively.
With every step she took, she grabbed whatever she could get her hands on—a trash can, a fire hydrant, a concrete block—and hurled it fiercely at the group of Hydra Soldiers armed with assault rifles.
Matt Murdock leaned against the wall behind Jessica, his face as pale as paper.
He was still recovering from severe injuries, and every breath now tugged at his broken ribs, the intense pain making it almost impossible for him to concentrate.
But he still held on.
His sensory World was in chaos.
Gunfire, explosions, the silent footsteps of ninjas, the heavy breathing of Hydra Soldiers, and the increasingly rapid heartbeats of his teammates... All sounds merged into a boiling cauldron of molten steel, scorching his nerves.
"We're surrounded."
A clear, cold female voice came from the rooftop.
Ava, dressed in White tights, landed beside Danny.
The White Tiger's fingertips.
Blood still dripped from her claws, sharp enough to tear through steel.
"I just made a round; there are at least two more HYDRA squads approaching from the east and north. They want to trap us here completely."
"Fucking hospitable," Jessica spat.
She kicked over the police car in front of her, crushing two soldiers hiding behind it into a pulp.
But more muzzles instantly aimed at her.
"Jessica!" Luke and Matt exclaimed simultaneously.
Just as the dense line of fire was about to engulf Jessica.
A Shadow, without warning, descended from the sky.
"Boom—!!!"
The figure, like a meteorite, slammed violently between Jessica and the group of Hydra Soldiers.
The hard asphalt road collapsed with a thunderous roar the moment he landed!
A spiderweb-like crack, over three meters in diameter, spread wildly from his landing point!
The Hydra Soldiers, who were preparing to open fire, were like scarecrows swept away by a hurricane.
They were instantly flung away by this terrifying force before they could even scream.
The firearms in their hands twisted and deformed in mid-air, and their bodies crashed against distant walls, emitting a series of jarring thuds.
The entire battlefield fell into an eerie silence due to this sudden turn of events.
As the dust slowly cleared.
A man in a black trench coat, wearing a hood and a mask, stood silently in the center of the large, shallow crater.
He slowly raised his head, and from the shadow of his hood, a pair of eyes swept across the scene.
Everyone was stunned.
Luke Cage stood with his mouth open, forgetting to punch.
The glow on Danny Rand's fist completely extinguished.
Ava, the White Tiger, froze in place, all her muscles tensed, as if she had encountered a top predator even more terrifying than the Tiger God she revered.
In Matt Murdock's 'World,' an unprecedented 'void' appeared.
Only Jessica.
She looked at the familiar back, at the recognizable trench coat, and after a few seconds of stunned, she incredulously blurted out a curse.
"Fuck, Xiao Wei?"
