Chapter 252 - Chapter 252 Such a ticking time bomb had to be defused.

A bold thought, like a venomous snake, slithered out from the darkest corner of his heart.

Kingpin.

Chairman of Fisk Enterprises, Emperor of New York's underworld.

This man was the Sword of Damocles that had hung over his head ever since he returned to New York.

He knew too many of his secrets and controlled too many resources.

More importantly, he was a pure businessman, a bastard who would unhesitatingly sell everything for profit.

William had no doubt that if The Hand or HYDRA offered a high enough price, Kingpin would sell him out completely in an instant.

Such a ticking time bomb had to be defused.

Before, he had no opportunity.

Fisk Tower, Kingpin's building, was one of the most heavily guarded fortresses in all of New York.

Forcing his way in would be suicidal.

But now... William looked up at the dazzling blue light beam in the distance, a cold arc forming on his lips.

All the Police, military, S.H.I.E.L.D., and even superheroes in the city were tied up in Manhattan.

The entire underground order of New York was in an unprecedented vacuum.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

While everyone's attention was on the sky, he could quietly infiltrate Fisk Tower, find that damned fat man, and then... make him completely disappear from this World.

No witnesses, no evidence.

His death would only be attributed to the chaos caused by this alien invasion.

Perfect crime.

William's mind had already begun to automatically plan the optimal infiltration route and assassination scheme.

Just then, the encrypted phone in his pocket suddenly vibrated.

William frowned, stopped, and slipped behind an abandoned newsstand.

He took out his phone and glanced at it.

The sender was a name he least wanted to see—Madame Hydra.

And the content of the message made his eyelids twitch wildly.

"My cat is missing. Help me find it."

William stared at the message, stunned for a full five seconds.

Damn it!

It's an alien invasion outside!

It's the end of the World!

And you're looking for a cat?

A feeling of utter absurdity instantly washed away all the murderous intent he had just brewed.

Immediately after, a chilling coldness shot from his tailbone all the way up to the top of his head.

This woman was a lunatic.

A lunatic who possessed a large amount of deadly intelligence, acted illogically, and held unknown intentions towards him.

Kingpin was a ticking time bomb, but this woman was a nuclear bomb that could be detonated at any moment!

And she was from HYDRA.

Her contacting him at this time could not possibly be genuinely about finding a cat.

This was a test.

Or rather, a command.

She wanted to confirm if he was still under her control.

William's expression darkened.

He realized that dealing with this woman had an even higher priority than Kingpin.

His fingers flew across the screen, each word filled with "professionalism" and "concern."

"Received, Madame. The safety of your 'assets' is always my top priority."

"Considering the current chaotic situation in the city, to ensure the absolute security of our communication, I suggest we have an in-person meeting to discuss the'search plan' in detail."

"I know a place in Brooklyn, absolutely safe. No one will disturb us."

The message was sent.

William's heart was in his throat.

A few seconds later, the phone vibrated again.

"Understood. Two hours from now."

William slowly exhaled, his eyes becoming incredibly cold.

Very good.

The fish had taken the bait... Two hours later.

Brooklyn, dock warehouse.

William's figure, like a ghost, appeared in the Shadows outside the warehouse.

He did not enter through the main door.

With Radar Sense activated, everything inside the warehouse formed a blurry three-dimensional outline in his mind.

Three people.

One sitting, two standing.

Life signs were very stable.

No ambush.

William's body pressed against the cold metal exterior wall of the warehouse.

Phase Shift activated.

His body transformed into an invisible ripple, silently penetrating the thick wall.

Inside the warehouse, the Light was dim.

That familiar figure was elegantly seated in an office chair dragged out from an office.

Madame Hydra, Ophelia Sarkissian.

Today she was wearing a dark green, tight-fitting long dress that accentuated her breathtaking curves.

Her face still held that half-smile, half-serious expression.

Behind her stood two men in black suits, powerfully built with bulging temples, clearly elite bodyguards of extraordinary skill.

William's figure slowly solidified in the Shadow of the containers behind them.

He made no sound.

Madame Hydra seemed completely unaware of his arrival, still calmly looking towards the warehouse entrance, as if waiting for him to appear from there.

William's gaze fell on the two bodyguards.

Tactical Vision immediately provided an analysis.

Muscle density, heart rate, breathing rhythm... Very strong.

But, still within the realm of ordinary humans.

William no longer hesitated.

Kill this woman, and eliminate future trouble once and for all!
