"I will personally lead the Hell Expeditionary Force to find Yhwach!"
Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni's deep voice echoed through the 1st Division meeting hall.
After returning from Central 46, he had summoned all the Captains again to discuss the formation of the Hell Expeditionary Force.
"Did I hear that right? Old Man Yama is going to Hell?"
Kyōraku Shunsui's mouth gaped open. He hadn't expected that after a trip to Central 46, the Old Man would decide to go to Hell personally.
"Then what about the affairs of the Gotei 13?"
Kenpachi Kuruyashiki scratched his face. He agreed with the formation of the Hell Expeditionary Force and had even thought about fighting for the leader position.
But now, Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni said he would participate.
Yamamoto said in a deep voice:
"I must consider the possibility that Saitō Furōfushi might defect. I will absolutely not allow the Hell Expeditionary Force to fall into danger because of this issue!"
"With me watching her, even if she has disloyal thoughts, she won't be able to cause much damage to the Hell Expeditionary Force."
"Although Old Man Yama is usually pretty free..." Kyōraku Shunsui recalled the time he was dragged to the 1st Division for hard training recently.
"But if he isn't in the Soul Society, our work will be hard to carry out!"
"After I leave the Soul Society, Yanagi Danzō will serve as the Acting Captain-Commander and temporarily take over the duties of the Captain-Commander."
Yamamoto glared at Kyōraku Shunsui. "I hope that when I return, I won't receive reports of you neglecting your Captain duties!"
"Acting Captain-Commander?!"
"Is this... appropriate?"
"Who is Yanagi Danzō..."
"You should be more familiar with his other title—Yanagi Kenpachi!"
"So it's Yanagi Kenpachi!"
"But Yanagi Danzō is now the Chief of the Sages and Chief Judge of Central 46. Letting him act as Captain-Commander is probably not a good idea..."
Yamamoto's news shocked the Captains.
The younger Captains were unfamiliar with the name Yanagi Danzō and were skeptical of his abilities.
The older Captains, however, thought of deeper implications.
"You don't need to worry. Yanagi Danzō is from the past. Just do your duty as Captains. When I return, everything will go back to normal."
Since Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni had agreed to Central 46's plan, he didn't intend to change his mind.
He actually knew the petty schemes of Yanagi Danzō and Central 46, but he was confident in himself and the Gotei 13.
As long as Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni returned to the Soul Society, all the efforts of Yanagi Danzō and Central 46 would be in vain!
Sōsuke Aizen, standing in the middle of the Captains' queue, quietly took in everyone's reactions.
"Is this all within your calculations, Teacher!"
Aizen calmly sized up his teacher.
Although his teacher hadn't spoken much just now, the more silent he was, the more certain Aizen became that the direction of events was exactly what his teacher expected!
Most of the Captains in the Gotei 13 were disciples of the Katori Style. If Yamamoto left the Soul Society, wouldn't the Gotei 13 effectively be run by his teacher?
The stagnant structure of the Soul Society would likely be broken by Yamamoto's departure.
Aizen began to look forward to the subsequent developments.

Kensei Muguruma took two seated officers to the Muken prison.
Muken was part of the Great Central Underground Prison and was managed by the Corps of Guards, so the task of releasing Saitō Furōfushi fell to Kensei Muguruma.
It was pitch black inside Muken; one couldn't even see their own fingers. This made the young seated officer who came here for the first time tremble with fear.
"I'm here, what are you worried about?" Kensei Muguruma didn't care.
"You need to train your guts. As a seated officer of the Corps of Guards, are you still afraid of entering the prison?"
"This is 'Muken'! I heard that those locked in Muken are all ruthless characters!"
The young seated officer following behind Kensei spoke cautiously, afraid that a sinner in the darkness would suddenly attack.
They actually didn't need to go deep into Muken. To see a sinner imprisoned here, one only needed to call their name.
"Saitō Furōfushi!"
Kensei Muguruma shouted into the depths of the darkness.
Soon after, they heard the sound of something dragging on the ground coming from the deep darkness.
Kensei swallowed quietly.
He was actually a bit nervous too.
This original Captain was also a ruthless person in the past. She was imprisoned in Muken because she publicly beheaded the head of the Tsunayashiro clan.
After being locked in this hellhole for hundreds of years, it was hard to say if her mind had been affected.
A figure slowly walked out of the darkness.
Kensei Muguruma shone his lantern on her.
The person who arrived was a petite, purple-haired girl. She wasn't tall, only about 1.5 meters.
Her long purple hair was tied into twin tails with black hair ties. She wore a black eyepatch over her left eye and a plain white kimono.
Her neck, wrists, waist, and ankles were all bound by chains and shackles.
"Is my sentence over?" Saitō Furōfushi couldn't hide the excitement in her heart.
Actually, not long ago, Sora Katori had already been to Muken to notify her about her release.
He had also taken back the Reishi space pocket he had left with her earlier to avoid revealing that someone had secretly visited Muken.
But when this moment truly arrived, she was still very excited.
She could finally leave this hellhole!
"It's not over. But thanks to the efforts of Teacher... Captain Katori, you have been given a chance to atone for your crimes through service!" Kensei explained.
"Oh~ Then tell me, how do I atone through service?" Saitō Furōfushi laughed.

After getting out of prison, Saitō Furōfushi went back to the Saitō house first.
But she had left for too long. Her old home had changed, and the people were gone.
She didn't stay long and came to the Katori Dojo to find her old friend, Batsu'unsai Katori.
Sora prepared a welcome banquet for this.
"It looks like you've recovered well. Before I was locked up, you were often sickly!"
Saitō Furōfushi was also happy to see that Batsu'unsai Katori's injuries had been completely cured.
"Wait until I rest for a few days, then let me see how much you've improved!"
Saitō Furōfushi had worn spiritual suppression tools for too long and needed some time to recover.
The Hell Expeditionary Force was still being prepared, so there was no rush to go to Hell immediately.
"Looking for a fight as soon as you get out," Batsu'unsai Katori laughed. "You haven't changed a bit after being locked up for three hundred years!"
Saitō Furōfushi was also a sword practitioner and used to spar with Batsu'unsai Katori often in the past.
"However, my hands are itching a bit too."
Batsu'unsai Katori felt nostalgic about the past and turned to look at Sora.
"Sora, my blade hasn't tasted blood in a long time. Doesn't the Hell Expeditionary Force need a few Captain-class combatants? Count me in!"
