Anastasia stayed in the bathroom for a long time.
When she finally walked out, the bedroom was empty. She looked at the bed, which was still messy from their intimate moment earlier.
Seeing the wrinkled sheets made her feel a strange sense of guilt.
She walked downstairs quietly, her eyes searching for Dylan. He wasn't in the living room, and he wasn't in the kitchen.

She ran to the window to look outside. His car was gone. Her heart began to race. She started to panic, thinking that he had left because he was angry about how she had pulled away.
