"Dylan, stop!" Anastasia cried out, trying to pull her hand from his grip.
She looked back at the big pile of bags, including the two simple dresses she had actually wanted and the plain clothes he had chosen for her. "Let's at least take what you paid for. You spent your own money on those!"
Dylan spun around so fast she almost tripped. His face was inches from hers, his eyes wide and bloodshot with a frantic, unhinged energy.
"NO!" he screamed.
The word tore through the quiet store like a physical blow. A few customers gasped and stepped back. One of the sales girls actually flinched, dropping a hanger.
"We aren't taking a single thing from this place!" Dylan roared.
The eyes of every shopper and employee were on them, but he didn't seem to care.
"Everything in here is tainted. You think I'm letting you wear anything associated with that monster? You think I'm that stupid?"
"It's just clothes, Dylan..."
