Most people simply ignored the small group.
Except, of course, Souei, who, the moment Guy Crimson and his group entered the Jura Forest, immediately went to inform Arthur.
Very few people there were capable of recognizing who had just entered Nova Uruk.
But Guy noticed something else immediately.
A familiar presence.
He changed direction without warning.
Rain blinked.
"Master?"
"I just found someone interesting."
Sitting at an elegant table inside a restaurant was Luminous Valentine.
Guy raised an eyebrow.
Then he smiled.
"Well… well."
Luminous slowly lifted her eyes.
When she saw who it was, she sighed.
"Guy Crimson. What are you doing here?"
Guy pulled out a chair and sat down without ceremony.
"I didn't expect to find you here."
"I could say the same," she replied. "Did you come here to cause trouble?"
"How cruel. I just came to take a look at this so-called Arthur," he answered with a laugh.
"Of course you did. But try not to cause trouble here," Luminous replied.
Guy raised an eyebrow.
"Was that an order?"
"Just advice."
She paused.
"Arthur is a very close friend."
Guy fell silent for a moment.
His interest in Arthur immediately increased.
Before he could say anything, a presence approached.
An elegant woman with long emerald-green hair walked toward the table.
Luminous immediately smiled.
"Ah, you've arrived, Morrigan."
She then looked at Guy and said bluntly:
"My company has arrived."
Guy blinked.
"Huh? A succubus?"
But Luminous simply turned to Morrigan.
"Sit down."
She began speaking with the newcomer as if Guy did not exist.
Morrigan, despite recognizing him, also completely ignored his presence.
For a few seconds, the Demon Lord stood there…
Completely dismissed.
Then—
Guy began laughing.
"Hahaha… how cruel."
He turned away.
"Well, I can't say I wasn't warned."
Without any resentment, he simply began walking through the streets of the city again.
But then—
A voice appeared beside him.
"Seriously… what do you Demon Lords find so interesting about me and my city?"
Guy turned his head.
There stood Arthur.
The ruler of Nova Uruk sighed as he walked toward him.
"It's already bad enough having Milim Nava bothering me all the time, and Luminous trying to find new ways to seduce me with Morrigan."
Arthur then looked directly at Guy.
Then at Misery.
Rain.
And finally Velzard.
He sighed again.
"Seriously… can't I have a single day off? Now even a True Dragon shows up here. At least I appreciate that you suppressed your auras—most people here wouldn't have been able to withstand them."
He looked at the group with a mocking smile.
"So? Did you come for tourism?"
Guy stayed silent for a few seconds while looking Arthur up and down.
"So you're Arthur…"
Arthur, on the other hand, looked completely unconcerned.
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"If you came here to fight or something, come back another time. I have much more important things to do right now."
Guy blinked slowly.
Then his lips curled into an even wider smile.
But someone clearly did not share the same reaction.
The air around Velzard dropped several degrees.
"Something… more important?"
Her voice was calm and polite, but there was a very clear irritation within it.
"What could possibly be more important than us?"
Arthur looked at her for a moment.
Then pointed at himself with his thumb.
"In case you didn't notice, I'm the ruler of this nation."
He gestured broadly to the city around them.
"Nova Uruk doesn't govern itself."
Arthur sighed again.
"But feel free to look around the city if you want."
He began to turn away.
"Just don't destroy anything."
Before he could take a step, Velzard appeared directly in front of him.
"Wait."
Her eyes were fixed on him.
"I don't care about your city. I want to see with my own eyes whether you're really as strong as those rumors say."
Arthur stayed silent for a few seconds.
Then he sighed again.
"Ah…"
He rubbed his forehead.
"Fine."
He raised his hand.
The space in front of them began to distort.
A dark crack appeared in the air, slowly expanding until it formed a stable portal.
On the other side, a vast void could be seen—an isolated dimension.
His own pocket dimension.
"Let's get this over with."
He then looked at Guy and Velzard while pointing at the portal.
"Come."
Then he glanced at the two demons behind Guy.
"If the two Primordials want to fight as well… I have a suitable opponent for both of you."
Misery and Rain's eyes gleamed slightly.
"Diablo, entertain our two guests," he called.
Immediately, a man with black hair streaked with red, golden eyes with red pupils, and black sclera appeared behind him.
He wore a butler's suit.
"As you command, my master," he said respectfully.
"Noir?" Not only Guy, but both Misery and Rain were somewhat surprised to see him.
"Well, what an unexpected sight," Diablo said upon seeing the group.
"Rouge, Bleu, and Vert."
"I didn't expect to find you here, Noir," Guy said.
"Are you done yet? I really have more things to do today," Arthur said expressionlessly.
Then he disappeared into the dimension.
"Shall we?" Diablo said as he also entered.
"I really like him," Guy said, and without hesitation he walked toward the portal.
"Let's go."
He entered the dimension as if he were walking into an entertainment hall.
Velzard crossed the portal shortly afterward.
A few steps behind, Misery and Rain exchanged a glance.
Then the two followed into the dimension.
The portal remained open for a few moments before closing.
And on the other side…
A battle that could easily annihilate part of the continent began.
---
The space inside the pocket dimension trembled violently.
Shockwaves repeatedly collided within that isolated void, creating distortions in the very fabric of reality. Explosions of ice, demonic pressure, swords and staffs casting magic crossed the battlefield with enough force to destroy mountains… yet everything remained contained within that dimension.
Finally—
A tear appeared in space in the middle of Nova Uruk's main square.
The portal opened again.
The first figure to emerge was Guy Crimson, carrying the now-unconscious Rain and Misery.
He landed lightly on the stone street as if he had just finished a casual walk.
But there were clear signs that the situation had been… intense.
Part of his jacket was torn.
There were battle marks on his body.
A small cut crossed his face.
Even so, the smile remained on his lips.
Shortly afterward, the portal opened again.
This time Arthur emerged, carrying someone in his arms.
The Ice True Dragon was completely unconscious in his embrace.
Arthur landed calmly on the ground.
Diablo exited shortly afterward and, after exchanging a few words, took his leave and returned to his duties.
"So…" Arthur said neutrally. "Satisfied now?"
"More than satisfied. It's been a long time since something this entertaining happened," Guy replied.
Guy then simply turned his back.
"I'm leaving now. I'll come back another time since you're busy."
"Next time, prepare some drinks," Guy added before disappearing at high speed.
Arthur stood there for a few seconds.
Then he looked at the unconscious figure in his arms.
Then he raised his head.
Guy had already left without even looking back.
Arthur sighed deeply.
He looked again at Velzard.
"He's just going to ignore this? Great."
He rubbed his forehead.
"Better deal with this quickly."
Without wasting any more time, he began walking through the city carrying the unconscious True Dragon.
Some people looked curiously at the scene.
But no one dared ask anything.
A short time later…
Arthur entered his mansion.
---
Some time later.
An elegant room was silent.
A white curtain swayed gently in the wind.
On the bed, a figure began to move.
Velzard slowly opened her eyes.
For a few seconds, she simply stared at the ceiling.
Then she frowned.
"…"
She sat up.
The room was unfamiliar.
A few minutes later, after asking a few questions to the mansion's maids, Velzard finally arrived at a door.
She opened it.
Inside the office, Arthur was sitting behind a desk filled with documents.
He was writing something with a focused expression.
Velzard entered without ceremony.
Arthur looked up.
"Velzard?"
He placed the pen on the table.
"I see you're fine now."
Velzard crossed her arms.
"Why am I here?"
Arthur tilted his head slightly.
"Because Guy ignored you and left. I couldn't exactly leave you unconscious in the middle of the city."
Velzard clearly did not like that answer.
Her blue eyes grew colder.
But after a few seconds, she took a deep breath and composed herself.
Arthur noticed this… and found it slightly amusing.
He returned to flipping through some papers.
"If you want to take a walk around the city, feel free. I can ask someone to accompany you."
He casually pointed toward the window.
"Nova Uruk is quite interesting."
Velzard stared at him for a few seconds.
Then she walked to one of the sofas in the office and sat down.
Her posture was elegant.
After a brief silence, she asked:
"Is it true that you inherited Veldora's powers?"
Arthur blinked in surprise at the sudden question.
"I honestly have no idea who came up with that. I've never even seen Veldora."
Velzard raised an eyebrow slightly.
Arthur continued:
"When I settled in the Jura Forest, he had already been gone for quite some time. And as his sister, you should have realized long ago that there isn't even a trace of his power in me."
He shrugged.
"So I have no idea how that rumor started."
(End of Chapter)
A/N: I actually tried to write the fight, but it turned out so bad it looked like a child had written it.
