And so, ten years passed in the blink of an eye.
For many, that decade felt like a long stretch of time.
But for those who lived through the events that shaped it, everything seemed to have happened in a single continuous flow—like a river running silently while the world changed around it.
During those years, Nova Uruk developed in extraordinary ways.
Not only economically or militarily—
But also in terms of population.
The city that was once viewed with curiosity, or even suspicion, had transformed into one of the greatest centers of power on the continent.
As Arthur had promised years ago, he gave his full support to Yuuki Kagurazaka.
And thanks to that support…
Yuuki's dream had finally taken shape.
The social inequality that once seemed impossible to reduce had diminished so much that, if one wasn't paying attention, it was almost impossible to notice it anymore.
Differences still existed—they always would.
But the crushing weight that once divided people had been drastically reduced.
Moreover, in recent years, the relationship between humans and monsters had improved in surprising ways.
After all…
Many wars are born not from malice, but from a lack of communication.
With Nova Uruk as the central stage of this new world, dialogue between different races increased day by day.
And little by little, something once unthinkable began to happen.
Unions between races started to emerge.
Marriages between humans and demi-humans were no longer rare.
Nova Uruk had become something even greater than a simple city.
For many, it had become something close to a sacred place for all races.
Shortly after dealing with Yuuki years ago, Arthur and Shizue, along with her students, finally managed to find the Dwelling of Spirits.
With Ramiris's help, they were able to save the children's lives.
After that, the entire group decided to officially join Nova Uruk.
And in that same year, Arthur finally achieved something he had pursued for a long time.
He managed to create a stable dimensional portal connecting to A2's world.
Thanks to that, he was able to witness something he would never forget.
The birth of his first child.
A small, adorable baby boy with white hair, just like A2's.
Arthur decided to name him Vergil.
After all, the child reminded him of a character from a game he had played in his childhood.
Let's just say the birth of his firstborn caused quite a stir in Nova Uruk.
Some particularly enthusiastic citizens even suggested creating an annual festival in honor of the child's birth.
But while many were happy about the news…
Some girls were not nearly as pleased.
Namely:
2B, White, Shion, Shuna, Felicia, and the succubus sisters.
None of them gave our boy much rest after that.
Shizu, on the other hand, was out of the question.
After all, just as Arthur had imagined…
It didn't take long before she was also pregnant with his second child.
That news caused another frenzy—perhaps even more chaotic—among the other women.
Eventually, even Luminous Valentine ended up joining that group.
To everyone's surprise, including Arthur himself, Shizu gave birth to twins.
The older one was named Akari.
And the younger one was named Taiyō.
Some time later, Arthur achieved another impressive feat.
He managed to connect the dimensional portal to his own home.
This allowed Gwen and Jean to come to that world.
It's worth mentioning that Gwen was more upset about the fact that Arthur already had three children than about the information that he slept with half of the most important women in Nova Uruk, with a woman worshipped as a goddess by millions, and even with an ice dragon who wasn't honest about her feelings.
Jean, on the other hand…
Seemed to accept everything with surprising ease.
She quickly became friends with Shizu—so much so that she ended up becoming almost a second mother to Akari and Taiyō.
Unfortunately, due to their own responsibilities on Earth, the two couldn't remain in that world for long.
They only appeared a few times a week.
Mainly because of the difference in the flow of time between the two worlds.
The following year, with Ramiris's help, Arthur created something that seemed to have come straight out of an RPG.
A living dungeon.
At the same time, he founded an institute in Nova Uruk called the Adventurers' Academy.
At that Academy, various disciplines were taught:
Swordsmanship,
Magic,
Strategy,
And general knowledge.
All of it taught by carefully selected instructors.
Completing the program at the Academy not only granted a special identification based on the student's performance…
But also something far more interesting.
The freedom to explore the dungeon.
And that dungeon quickly became a new hub of trade and exploration.
To keep the city lively, Arthur also created an annual tournament.
The winner wouldn't receive only gold.
They could also choose unique weapons or equipment.
In addition, Arthur created a ranking system for swordsmen.
The idea had originally been proposed by Hakurou, who believed it was important to establish a clear standard to measure swordsmanship.
Some time ago, something curious also happened.
Angélica suddenly appeared.
With absolute conviction, she declared that she had finally discovered her cosmic reason for existing in that world.
After that, she disappeared for a few weeks.
And when she returned…
She claimed she had finally managed to return to the future—but would now live there.
Which was curious, since Arthur knew she had sent Slime Rimuru to her future, but how she managed to return was still a complete mystery to him.
About half a year ago, Demon Lord Leon Cromwell, having somehow received the news, finally arrived in Nova Uruk.
After centuries of relentless searching…
He finally found what he had been looking for.
There, Leon was finally reunited with his younger sister, Chloe Aubert, who had now grown into a 17-year-old girl.
Leon Cromwell's long search for his sister had finally come to an end.
Arthur still laughed whenever he remembered Leon's face that day.
Especially at the moment when he also met the future Chloe.
Now even more beautiful.
The girl, now 27 years old, had completely lost her former innocent and childlike appearance.
In its place, she had become an extraordinarily beautiful woman.
However…
What displeased Leon Cromwell the most during that meeting wasn't that change.
It was something else.
Something much harder to accept.
The affection both Chloes showed toward Arthur far surpassed what they showed toward him—her own older brother.
That caused Leon a strange discomfort.
A feeling difficult to explain.
But there was absolutely nothing he could do about it.
Meanwhile, Shizue finally managed to resolve the issues from her past involving Leon.
And after carrying that pain for so long…
She was finally able to bid farewell to that painful past.
---
Now.
A gentle breeze swept across the fields surrounding Nova Uruk.
The lush green grass swayed like a calm sea, forming deep, hypnotic waves under the sunlight.
It was an incredibly peaceful landscape.
Arthur lay on the grass, completely relaxed, enjoying the warmth of the sun on his face.
His appearance had barely changed over the years.
Around him, a small group of children lay scattered across the field.
Some were asleep.
Others simply gazed at the sky.
That world had become a home for Arthur.
Even more than Earth itself.
For the first time in a long while, he felt that he had found something that had always eluded him.
A true purpose.
His children were there.
His wives were there.
His city was there.
Everything he had built… existed in that world.
Although not legally recognized on Earth, Arthur had also married Gwen, Jean, and Natasha.
Curing Natasha's condition wasn't particularly difficult—something that almost made her cry with joy when she found out.
Naturally, he also brought Gwen's parents to see that world.
Well…
George's murderous glare when he discovered all of Arthur's relationships was something that still made him break into a cold sweat to this day.
Eventually, George accepted the situation.
But he still seemed to harbor a quiet resentment.
As time passed, other people also began arriving in that world.
Some mutants from Earth—especially those who had already lost all hope in humanity—decided to move there and start a new life.
Something Arthur accepted without hesitation.
Some of them even became instructors at the Adventurers' Academy.
Of course…
Most still preferred to remain on Earth.
And that was perfectly understandable.
It was a choice no one could force.
"So this is where you all were?"
A soft voice sounded nearby.
Arthur slowly opened his eyes.
Above him, a few strands of blonde hair swayed gently in the wind.
He smiled.
"What brings you here, Gwen?" he asked, looking at her.
"Nothing much," Gwen replied casually. "I just came to bring some important news."
She knelt on the grass and, naturally, placed Arthur's head on her lap.
"Well… Angélica and Milim destroyed the southern part of the city during a fight."
Arthur's eyes widened.
"Are you serious?"
Gwen let out a small laugh.
"Completely. But the others stopped them before they could destroy more of the city."
Arthur let out a deep sigh.
"…Tell that bunch of idiot mages to fix the city."
He closed his eyes again.
"I'll give those two a proper scolding later."
At that moment, some of the children around them began to wake up.
One stretched.
Another moved closer to him.
Arthur smiled faintly as he watched them.
He didn't know what awaited him in the future.
Perhaps new enemies.
New challenges.
Or perhaps just more peaceful days like this one.
But one thing was certain.
He intended to make the most of the present.
After all…
This was not the end of his journey.
It was only its true beginning.
(The End?)
A/N: Yes, technically the story ends here… and at the same time, it doesn't.
Canonically, this marks the end of Arthur's journey.
And why am I doing this?
The reason is quite simple.
This change will make it much easier for me to write the next arcs of the story.
Narratively, it will even make it easier to connect with other worlds.
Until now, I would constantly need to alternate between structures like:
arc in another world → Marvel → arc in another world → Marvel.
This repetitive format would end up forcing everything to reconnect to Marvel at the end of each arc, which, in many moments, would make the writing process more limited and less fluid—not to mention extremely frustrating to write. Besides, following the current timeline in the Marvel world, we're still in 2011—how long would it take to reach the truly interesting parts?
By canonically ending this part of Arthur's journey here, I gain much more creative freedom. This way, I can write the next arcs in a cleaner and more organized manner, without constantly worrying about forcing direct connections to Marvel at the end of each one.
Moreover, the title of the fic itself is "King of Heroes in Multiverse." This fanfic is about exploring different worlds and possibilities within this vast and wonderful anime multiverse we know.
But then a natural question arises:
If the story ends here… how will there still be new arcs?
The answer is also simple.
All new arcs will take place during the ten-year period in which Arthur was in Tensura.
Each of these arcs will be treated as its own story, but still directly connected to the main narrative. Some will function as side stories within that period, while others will naturally continue from events in previous arcs.
Each arc will begin in a way that makes sense within different points of that timeline.
For example, once Fate/Zero ends, its conclusion will already serve as a direct link to the next arc.
Another important point: there will still be chapters that take place in Marvel.
For example, I still intend—and want—to show events such as the Chitauri army in New York being completely annihilated by Arthur's women, as well as Arthur himself confronting and destroying Thanos.
However, as I mentioned before, the central concept of the fic still revolves around the multiverse.
Therefore, instead of continuing to follow the same repetitive formula common to stories of this type, from now on the story will adopt a more flexible format, allowing me to develop arcs at my own pace—without worrying about Marvel or about people complaining that something doesn't make sense because the protagonist is too overpowered in Marvel, or too weak due to some temporary nerf meant to make an arc more interesting.
Finally, as promised, the next chapter will already begin with the Fate/Zero arc—written in a somewhat different way from what I had originally planned, but much better executed.
If you have any questions, please let me know, I will answer.
