"Worm Apocalypse, Worm Barses, Worm Cartaros, Worm Dimikles..."
"Worm Hope, Worm Illidan, Worm Jetelikpse..."
"Worm Linx..."
Each time the Worm King called out a name, Tierra felt a pang in her heart. After naming over twenty, the Worm King took a deep breath and exhaled deeply, then waved its four arms, roaring: "Worm Queen, Worm King, Worm Victory—"
"25 Worms fuse together!"
"Come, from the distant cosmos, the origin of us all!"
"Fusion Summon!"
"LV 10, Worm Zero!"
Rumble—
Countless Worms flew up from the ground, forming a mass, and then transformed into a massive, sun-like, gelatinous sphere.
Worm Zero, LV 10, Light Attribute, Reptile-Type, ATK: ?
"Worm Zero's ATK becomes the number of Fusion Material Monsters times 500."
Tierra slowly opened her mouth wide, watching as the "Worm Sphere" gradually grew larger and more concentrated, eventually overshadowing the sky like a true sun.
Worm Zero, ATK: 12500.
"ATK 12500??" Tierra blinked her eyes and then stiffened slightly as she looked down at Tenjo Hikari, instinctively pointing with her left hand, eyes filled with bewilderment.
Weren't they weeds?
If Tenjo Hikari was right, these should have been exterminated alien weeds by the "Genex" planetary environment transformer she created. Yet, these weeds had such formidable things?
25 native Monsters all fused!?
This is several times stronger than that Cyber End Dragon, isn't it?
The Worm King slowly clenched its fist. The tribesmen behind it, seeing Worm Zero emerge, couldn't help but cheer.
This is their family's strongest and last bastion—an ultimate Fusion Card that can only be used when their entire tribe is present.
The reason they have been able to stand firm despite being crushed into this small territory by surrounding forces is this ultimate power.
"Worm Zero gains the following effects based on Fusion Materials.
2 or more types, once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 face-down Reptile-Type Monster from the Graveyard."
It extended its right hand, pointing at the Graveyard: "Revive, my brother, Worm Victory."
Worm Zero slowly projected a light, reminiscent of a UFO transporter, returning a Worm from the Graveyard to silently lurk on the field.
"4 or more types: You can banish 1 Reptile-Type Monster in your Graveyard to send 1 Monster on the field to the Graveyard."
It slowly picked up a card from the Graveyard: "Banish Worm Hope from the Graveyard."
Then, it pointed to Asmodius on the field.
Boom—
Bathed in light, the gallant Archfiend hadn't showcased its might before it collapsed to the ground.
"6 or more types: Once per turn, draw a card."
"Draw a card."
Tierra swallowed hard.
She gazed at that gigantic Monster, feeling a surge of tension.
Though she had a Set Card, it wasn't a defensive Card. If attacked directly, would she be instantly defeated—
"Tierra."
Tierra turned to look at Tenjo Hikari.
"Don't worry. Monsters Fusion Summoned with Future Fusion can't attack during the first turn."
!
Oh—
Right, right.
She quickly wiped nonexistent sweat.
Nearly forgot.
Seeing such a huge, high ATK Monster on the field had momentarily stunned her inexperienced in dueling. Now she felt much more at ease.
Actually, Tenjo Hikari had wanted to remind her earlier.
When Worm Zero sent something to the Graveyard, it could have freed itself and banished one more opponent's Graveyard Monster.
But she didn't respond at all.
Actually, from Tenjo Hikari's perspective, Tierra seemed quite strange now.
"What's wrong?" he asked curiously.
What was wrong?
Hearing Tenjo Hikari's question, Tierra hesitated for a moment.
Dozens of possible "answers" flashed through her mind at Tenjo Hikari's question, and then she pinpointed the issue.
She flexed her right hand.
Indeed, her mindset seemed a bit off-kilter.
She looked around.
This dimension...it's not her planet.
However—environmentally speaking, it's identical to the planet when she regenerated.
Endless time had passed, and even she had transformed into a Spirit Body, lost forever the hope of revival with physical form, leaving her only able to cooperate with Tenjo Hikari, existing as a Card Spirit and reviving as a God of Monsters.
Coming to this world thrilled and excited her.
The world was no longer the one she knew.
Perhaps these Worms before her were weeds she could effortlessly eradicate in her previous life.
Yet even weeds, with strong enough conviction, can overcome gods.
This is the possibility dueling grants to the weak.
While...the opponent is an invader, they aren't "invaders" themselves, just history's phantom after the invaders' demise.
She gently knocked her head.
To become the "God" of these phantoms of history, she must use their methods.
Dueling, conviction.
Even the weakest race has the capacity to Summon a Fusion Monster with 12,000 ATK in a single turn, her planet truly was a blossoming place...
But it's all for the better.
The Worm King eyed his hand card, Set a card on the field, and then declared the turn end.
