It's been several years since Mewtwo last saw Mew.
They met on New Island, when Mewtwo was still lost in chaos, seeking an answer.
To find the meaning of its existence, Mewtwo transformed New Island, converting the ruins of the Team Rocket Research Institute into a castle, inviting powerful humans to a banquet.
Mew trespassed into its castle at that time.
Clone Mewtwo, made from Mew's genes, fought a great battle with Mew to prove that a copy could be stronger than the original.
The battle affected the Pokémon and Trainers attending the banquet, and that's when Mewtwo saw the good side of humanity.
A human named Ash tried to stop their fight but was petrified, and the Pokémon present awakened him with their tears.
Mewtwo, moved by everything it witnessed, finally abandoned its plan and led the group of cloned Pokémon away from New Island.
The second meeting was at a place called Mount Quena.
Then, Mewtwo first formally learned about the Heroic Expedition Team and deeply understood the Mew it once considered a mother.
Ultimately, Mewtwo accepted Mew and Teddiursa's invitation, leading the cloned Pokémon to a place called Naoki Ranch.
A human named Naoki hosted Mewtwo and the cloned Pokémon.
In his eyes, these cloned Pokémon appeared no different from regular Pokémon, all beings existing in this world.
To thank the host, or perhaps for some other indescribable reason, Mewtwo didn't use its Psychic powers to erase his memories of it.
After that, it began traveling the world with the cloned Pokémon like humans, searching for a paradise of their own.
Yet, to this day, Mewtwo still hasn't found that place.
But Mewtwo doesn't feel lost, because it met many Pokémon along the way and had ample time to reflect.
The human genes within it offered richer emotions and wisdom compared to ordinary Pokémon.
This journey has been quite rewarding for it.
Mewtwo's mindset has undergone a tremendous transformation compared to its days on New Island.
Having experienced so much, met so many Pokémon, observing how they treated it like an ordinary Pokémon.
Those moments, it seemed as if it became a part of the vast realm of this world, coming into the world humbly and departing just as humbly.
Reuniting with Mew here, a wave of unprecedented emotion suddenly surged in Mewtwo's heart.
Perhaps it was anticipation for meeting Mew, sharing their current situations.
Mewtwo subdued the terrifying Psychic energy fluctuations within itself, approached with the cloned Pokémon, calling out through Telepathy.
"Mew."
Mew, taking a nap under a towering tree, suddenly heard a familiar voice calling it.
Confused, it opened its eyes and looked ahead.
Soon, Mew saw several familiar figures in the clearing ahead.
It was... Mewtwo, Meowth, Venusaur, Pikachu, and the others!
"Miu!"
Mew let out a joyful growl.
The joy of reunion washed over its heart, and it happily flew forward, circling around Mewtwo and the Pokémon, greeting them.
Teddiursa and Zapdos were awakened by Mew's voice.
Teddiursa's eyes brightened, and it ran forward joyfully, greeting Mewtwo and the others: "Ema Ema!"
Zapdos, having never met Mewtwo, felt puzzled seeing its teammates' reactions.
But soon, Teddiursa began introducing Mewtwo to it: "Ema, Ema Ema!" (It's Mewtwo, a good friend we met before!)
Upon hearing this, Zapdos realized that this Pokémon, like it, might have also been helped by the Heroic Expedition Team.
Mewtwo glanced at the bird Pokémon with yellow feathers.
It nodded slightly towards it, then looked at Mew and Teddiursa.
"It's been a while." Mewtwo's deep voice resonated through Telepathy in the two Pokémon's minds.
"Miu!" Mew nodded its little head, indeed, it had been a long time since they last met.
It tilted its head, looking at everyone following Mewtwo, and couldn't help but ask: "Miu?" (Are you traveling too?)
Mewtwo nodded.
A group of Pokémon sat in this woodland clearing.
Teddiursa took out snacks prepared by Naoki from the pouch on Zapdos, treating this group of Pokémon.
Mewtwo glanced at those delicately crafted, cute human food and then said to Mew:
"Yeah, I'm exploring the world, and also looking for a sanctuary for us cloned Pokémon."
Mew asked: "Miu?" (Did you find it?)
Mewtwo shook its head: "Not yet."
This world is vast, with traces of human presence in many places.
Compared to places near human cities, often disrupted by Human Trainers, Mewtwo's heart yearns more for unseen valleys, those serene and beautiful with abundant resources.
The location with abundant resources is the most crucial among the three conditions.
Initially, Mewtwo did not feel much, but as they traveled, gradually, Mewtwo realized something.
