Youyu drew five cards from the deck in one go—sending them all to the graveyard. Until the sixth card, he found a monster that satisfied the "can be normal summoned" condition.
"The card I drew is 'Destiny Hero Malicious'." Youyu revealed the card, "I special summon 'Malicious'!"

A thundering roar erupted, the earth split apart, and as the colossal figure descended, it stirred up a towering cloud of dust. The golden emperor stood like a mountain, seemingly cast in steel.

Though he wasn't very familiar with Aaron from the organization who used the Monarch Deck, they had crossed paths in duels, and he had witnessed some of those battles.
He was certain that this "Monarch" deck in the hands of its former owner was nowhere near this powerful!
"The effect of Earth Emperor·Granmat!" Youyu pointed to the opponent's back row, "Upon a successful Tribute Summon, choose one face-down Monster, or Magic Trap Card on the field and destroy it!

The golden emperor's heavy fist smashed down, suddenly shattering the earth! The crack quickly spread forward, extending toward the card below, with the abyss beneath threatening to swallow it!

Youyu said calmly: "I have 'Mobius the Frost Monarch' and 'Earth Emperor·Granmat' on my field, both with attack power of 2400."
"Exactly!" Ahmed sneered, "So 'Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys', its attack power increases by the emperor's attack power, which is 2400!"
A shrill, sharp phoenix cry sounded, the phoenix raised its head and shrieked, releasing fierce flames seemingly distorting space, with even the emperor's ice appearing to melt.

"In the graveyard, the effect of the second 'Destiny Hero Malicious'!" Youyu said, "Banish Malicious from the game, and Special Summon the third 'Destiny Hero Malicious' from the deck!"
Another image of Malicious disappeared, a beam of golden light shot out from the deck, and the third Malicious roared down from above!

Darkness erupted as if from Hell, the evil emperor burst forth from the shadows! With blood-red eyes, a demonic horned helmet, and a massive figure clad in a black, solid armor.

"The effect of Caius the Shadow Monarch!" Youyu raised a hand, "Upon a successful Tribute Summon, banish one card on the field! I banish 'Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys'!"
The evil emperor raised his palms, a pitch-black storm brewed between them! The dark, evil force condensed into a massive orb, where black lightning roiled, seemingly containing a separate dimension.
The black energy orb exploded, hitting the noble phoenix head-on! Despite its attack power pushing close to five thousand and its intense flames flaring magnificently, it was utterly powerless before this absolute evil force.
In an instant, its body, alongside the divine golden flames, was absorbed into the vortex, disappearing into depths of darkness.
Ahmed stood there, dumbfounded.
With three Set Cards, a Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys with an attack power of 4800, and even another phoenix in the graveyard ready for a resurgence, the situation was a fortified, invincible setup.
Yet all his arrangements were swept away cleanly in just a single turn.
Is this... the power of the Duel King?
"Battle." Youyu raised a hand, "Mobius the Frost Monarch, Earth Emperor·Granmat, Caius the Shadow Monarch, attack directly!"
An extremely cold snowstorm, a ground-sweeping impact, and a pitch-black thunderstorm—all three distinct yet equally domineering forces blasted forward. Ahmed stared blankly as these magnificent visual effects engulfed him, his mind going blank.
