"Sangan, attack 'The Wicked Dreadroot'!"
As Priest Simon's command echoed, even the little Sangan on his field was shocked, its hairs standing on end and nearly leaping in place.
What? You want me to attack what!?
"Are you crazy, old man?" Bakura frowned, "Or have you realized you're no match for the Evil God, ready to meet your demise?"
The old priest remained unmoved, only raising his voice: "Sangan, attack!"
Although terrified into silence, in a duel, the master's orders are ultimately irresistible. The poor Sangan had no choice but to bravely charge into the dark currents, not even daring to glance directly at the Evil God.
Bakura's brows furrowed. Though he too wished to believe that his opponent resorted to self-destruct because the core parts of Exodia were removed, leaving them helpless... but that look clearly didn't match.
The old man's eyes were clear and determined, filled with resolve; it was the look of a warrior who, despite not losing their fighting spirit, had resolved to defend their beliefs until their last breath.
There's definitely something fishy!
"Whatever you're trying to do, it won't happen!" Bakura waved his hand, "Flip Cover Card! Trap Card - Questioning! At the moment of the opponent's monster's attack declaration, check all of the opponent's hand cards; if there's a Monster Card among them, the attack is negated!
And afterwards, I can choose any one Monster Card from your hand to discard!"
Priest Simon's pupils constricted.
This guy... actually so cautious!?

The little Sangan crashed into an invisible barrier, flipping over before even reaching the Evil God's domain. The stone tablets in front of Priest Simon also flipped over for Bakura to inspect.
Bakura scanned them quickly, discovering "Right Arm of the Forbidden One" and "Left Leg of the Forbidden One" among them—one card added to the hand due to the summoned divine effect last turn, and the other likely drawn after using Pot of Avarice.
Bakura casually pointed to "Right Arm of the Forbidden One" in Simon's hand.
"Although you can no longer unlock Exodia, just to be safe, discard that stone tablet!"
Without a word, Simon discarded the "Right Arm of the Forbidden One," which disintegrated into golden light.
Though the attack was blocked, Sangan let out a sigh of relief. Honestly, charging at such a massive Evil God was terrifying...
Unexpectedly, Simon waved his hand: "The Trap set within the 'Temple of the Kings' domain can be activated immediately! The Trap I'm using is... Miracle Locus! Granting Sangan an additional attack!"
Miracle Locus: The opposing player draws a card; one of my Monsters gains 1000 attack power for this turn and can attack again.

Sangan's three eyes widened in shock, nearly leaping.
This is too much, do I have to fight again!?
"Foolish, let me accommodate you!" Bakura squinted, "The Wicked Dreadroot, eliminate him for me!"

Bakura sneered, "It's over."
But just as the words left his mouth, his eyes slightly shifted, sensing something amiss.

The ripple from the Evil God's impact swept towards the old priest, seemingly halted by an invisible Magic Barrier. The Divine Power surged against the barrier, failing to cause any effect.
Bakura's gaze quickly landed on the stone tablet standing before Priest Simon.
Continuous Trap - Soul Barrier: When there are Monsters on my field, any battle damage my side receives is 0.
"Stubborn fellow." Bakura scoffed, "But what's the point of doing this?"
"Sangan's special ability: its death brings forth new stone tablets!" Simon declared.
Sangan: When sent from the field to the graveyard, add one Monster with attack power 1500 or less from the Card Deck to the hand.
This guy with "Witch of the Black Forest" is a golden duo, the universal search pair, extremely versatile, often retrieving all sorts of unexpected oddities.
A new stone tablet responded to the call, bound by chains, inscribed with the pattern of "Left Arm of the Forbidden One."
Now Priest Simon has gathered Egyptian Envoi's left arm and right leg.
Bakura smiled indifferently, "Two pieces of Exodia, what use are they?"
Among the five Exodia pieces, the head has already been excluded from the game, the right arm slumbers in the graveyard, leaving him no opportunity.
"Magic - Phoenix God Feather!"
Simon once again released magic from the stone tablets, as the burning phoenix feathers emerged from their engravings.

A stone tablet was dragged out of the graveyard by its golden chains, unmistakably the "Right Arm of the Forbidden One" Bakura had discarded earlier.
"Return to the top of the Card Deck? Do you really think you'll have another turn..."
Before Bakura could finish, Simon waved his hand, "Magic activation—Magic Book in Pot!"
