Watching the Elemental Hero and Dark Magician on Youyu's field turn defensive, the Supreme King said coldly, "Nicely said, but in the end, you can only resort to such a mild defensive tactic."
"My turn, draw."
He directly revealed the card he drew.
"Magic card 'Legacy of a Hero', draw three cards when there are two or more Level 4 or higher Heroes in the graveyard."
He added the drawn cards to his hand, then immediately swung his arm.
"Let's activate the effect of 'Evil Hero Malicious Bane.'" The Supreme King exclaimed, "Once per turn, destroy all monsters your opponent controls whose attack points are lower than his own..."
"Don't be in such a hurry." Youyu said, "At the instant the main phase starts, my trap has already activated! Continuous Trap 'Deepsea Assault'! Activate a Field Magic 'Umi' from the graveyard!"
An endless ocean surged from the deep darkness, extinguishing the flames under the Supreme King Castle with a hiss. The vast ocean swept over the entire castle, causing the Supreme King Castle to crumble amid the torrent.
"Deepsea Assault..." The Supreme King's gaze flickered slightly.
"Remember?" Youyu smiled, "When I taught you about this card and the combo with 'Absolute Zero', you marveled at how powerful it was, almost as if it was tailor-made for Absolute Zero."
Supreme King: "..."
"'Deepsea Assault', activate effect!" Youyu continued, "While 'Umi' is in the field zone, once per turn, you can banish a Water attribute monster on the field until the end of the turn. This turn, all face-up Magic and Trap cards on your side cannot be destroyed by effects.
I banish the Water attribute 'Elemental Hero Absolute Zero' from the game!"
Waves swept, and the fluctuating tides engulfed the body of Absolute Zero. The disappearing hero turned into a transparent blue water shield, protecting the Field Magic and Continuous Trap beneath it.
"At this moment, Absolute Zero's effect activates!" Youyu continued, "When 'Elemental Hero Absolute Zero' leaves the field, destroy all of your opponent's monsters!
Absolute Zero!"
An immense wave of icy cold erupted, a cold current surged toward the Supreme King's field. The pitiable Malicious Bane was frozen and shattered in an instant, but with a wave of its arm, Bane scattered the cold current that approached him into shards.
"Evil Hero Malicious Bane cannot be destroyed by battle or effects," the Supreme King said icily, "Next, the effect of Malicious Bane.
Once per turn, destroy all of your opponent's monsters!"
The Evil Hero roared with uncontrollable fury, and the darkness retaliated with a momentum ten times stronger than the previous cold wave!
At this time, only the Dark Magician remained on Youyu's field, who naturally could not avoid being turned to ashes in the dark flood.
"Malicious Bane's attack points will increase by 200 times the number of destroyed monsters."
[Evil Hero Malicious Bane, attack points 3000 → attack points 3200]
"Next, I'll activate the effect of 'Evil Hero Sinister Necrom', sent to the graveyard last turn by 'Supreme King Castle'." The Supreme King drew the card from the graveyard, "By banishing Sinister Necrom from the game, you can special summon any Evil Hero from the deck.
Come forth! Evil Hero Infernal Gainer!"
A flicker of electricity crackled and danced, and Infernal Gainer seemed to leap out from the void, folding its arms indifferently as it arrived on the field.
[Evil Hero Infernal Gainer, attack points 1600]
"Battle," the Supreme King said, "Evil Hero Malicious Bane, direct attack!"
Malicious Bane began charging, with darkness from all directions converging on his raised arm, wrapping around the sharp blade at his wrist.
Youyu's Life Points certainly couldn't withstand such an attack from Malicious Bane.
"Activate the Set Card!" Youyu said, "Trap Card 'Magician Navigation'!"
The Supreme King frowned slightly: "That card again."
"Special summon 'Dark Magician' from the hand," Youyu said, "And from the deck, special summon one Dark Attribute Spellcaster-Type monster of Level 6 or higher."
Youyu slapped down two cards in one go.
"Come, Dark Magician! Dark Magician Girl!"
The magic arrays unfolded in tandem, and the Dark Magicians leaped forth, one after the other!
[Dark Magician, defense 2100]
[Dark Magician Girl, defense 1700]
Upon her appearance, the Dark Magician Girl was excited yet nervous, her small hands clutching the Magic Staff trembling slightly.
The girl hadn't appeared in a long time and today she was thrust into such an important duel!
She understood the situation, knowing that Youyu's jellyfish-headed student was sealed inside the opponent before her.
A duel that must be won!
"You should know what happens next, right?" Youyu smiled.
"Magician Navigation's effect, right?" The Supreme King frowned.
Upon the summoning of the Dark Magician, the Continuous Magic "Dark Magical Circle" would trigger again, banishing the Supreme King's ace "Evil Hero Malicious Bane" from the game.
Malicious Bane possessed absolute destruction resistance, but faced with the strange Black Magic that banishes directly, it had no defense.
"Activate Set Card." The Supreme King's backfield flipped over, "Continuous Trap 'Safe Zone'. This card equips to a monster, making it unaffected by battle or card effects, and prevents it from being targeted by effects."
Resistant to destruction, Malicious Bane had his own defenses, and this trap further added protection against targeting. Now even the Magician Navigation couldn't deal with him.
"Then, at the moment of 'Dark Magician' summoning, 'Dark Magical Circle's effect activates," Youyu said, "Banish one card on your opponent's field from the game.
I banish the Continuous Trap 'Safe Zone' from the game!"
The trap had just equipped onto Malicious Bane, and was swiftly erased by the Black Magic of the dimension-distorting circle.
"When 'Safe Zone' leaves the field, the equipped monster must be destroyed," the Supreme King stated calmly, "But Malicious Bane cannot be destroyed by effects, so negate destroy.
Hence, battle continues, 'Evil Hero Malicious Bane', attack Dark Magician!"
Malicious Bane's offensive continued. His massive fist, shrouded in oppressive darkness, pounded the Dark Magician, shattering the defensive enchantment like glass and sending the Dark Magician flying, only to be obliterated midflight by black mist.
"Next is 'Evil Hero Infernal Gainer's effect," the Supreme King said, "Banish Infernal Gainer from the game, allowing a Fiend-Type monster on your field to attack twice this turn as long as it remains face-up.
Now, Malicious Bane, go for a second attack!"
The Dark Magician Girl blinked her large eyes helplessly.
Eh? The rarely appearing me, so cute, yet gone in a flash?
Youyu: Actually, it's just that I'm out of Black Illusion cards in the deck, so you were pulled out to make up the numbers...
"Set three cards, ending my turn."
"During the End Phase, 'Deepsea Assault's effect ends, and the monster banished by its effect returns to the field," Youyu said, "'Elemental Hero Absolute Zero' returns to the field!"
[Elemental Hero Absolute Zero, attack points 2500]
"It doesn't matter." The Supreme King said indifferently, "No matter how many times that Hero appears, it won't be a match for Malicious Bane!"
