Chapter 470 - Chapter 274: Golden Horizon

Although Might Guy's physical strength is greater, Kakashi is more agile and can dodge many of Guy's attacks.

"Leaf Great Whirlwind!"

After a round of probing attacks, Might Guy decisively gathered chakra in his leg, then launched a powerful kick.

Guy timed his kick perfectly, leaving Kakashi no choice but to block with his arm, unable to evade.

Bam!

A dull impact sounded, and Kakashi was instantly knocked back three meters.

Might Guy didn't hesitate anymore and immediately unleashed all his strength, using the strongest Taijutsu he could muster.

"Konoha Dragon God!"

With a surge of chakra, a terrifying aura erupted from Might Guy, and a greenish-blue dragon rapidly formed around him.

"Trying to catch me off guard, huh, Guy? You really have gotten stronger, but so have I."

Kakashi instantly entered Transparent World, quickly retreating as he drew the White Fang Short Blade strapped to his back.

"Hoo." Kakashi's breathing changed rapidly; everything about his body became transparent and controllable in his mind.

Bzzzt!

With the boost of Breath of Thunder, Kakashi rapidly converted a huge amount of chakra into lightning attribute chakra, his body shimmering with golden electric arcs.

Golden lightning flowed down his arm to his palm, finally infusing the White Fang Short Blade with electricity, extending a blade of light from it.

"Lighting Flash!"

Boom!

A peal of thunder detonated, golden light erupted on the field, and Kakashi himself became a bolt of lightning shooting forward.

Obito stared at the two, hoping the dragon would bite through the electric flash.

Rumble rumble rumble!!

The green dragon collided with the lightning, causing a violent explosion in an instant.

The immense force of both fighters exploded the ground beneath them, rocks and dust flying out in all directions.

"Both of them are really strong, not someone I can defeat right now," Shisui thought solemnly.

"But Kakashi's attacks are still a bit stronger." After activating Sharingan for a detailed observation, Shisui pretty much determined the outcome.

As if to confirm Shisui's thoughts, the next moment the dragon shattered, bloodstreaks appeared on Guy's body, while Kakashi had only been knocked back a few meters, looking a little drained but without obvious injuries.

If it were a real life-and-death struggle, Shisui couldn't say, but if it was just a duel, Kakashi is indeed stronger at present—his Lighting Flash is truly powerful.

"As expected from my best friend, you're still a bit stronger than me!" Might Guy laughed loudly, without a trace of defeat or regret on his face.

Though he lost, Might Guy felt this fight was still meaningful; he realized more of his shortcomings, and knew which direction to work harder toward moving forward.

Kakashi didn't speak, but he felt a growing sense of urgency inside.

During the Chunin Examination, Guy had to force open the Fourth Gate to fight him like this, but now Guy managed this with just Three Gates—which means if Guy goes all out for the Fourth Gate, he might not be able to keep up.

"Really no room to relax for even a second," Kakashi thought.

He felt it was so hard to maintain his position as Teacher Mokgetsu's strongest disciple. Except for Nohara Rin, none of them were easy opponents.

"Teacher Mokgetsu, are these things I'm supposed to learn later?" Shizune asked Mokgetsu, a bit confused.

Because of Mokgetsu's words, she watched the fight very seriously, wanting to learn something, but besides the initial probing attacks, she couldn't understand anything that came after.

Mokgetsu shook his head. Breath of Thunder isn't something easy to say now, and Eight Gates is definitely a no-go.

Guy and Kakashi didn't follow the usual steps this fight, exchanging a couple blows before immediately going all out. Nothing much to learn here.

"It's a pity; if Guy could normally open Four Gates, he would've won." Seeing Kakashi win, Obito sighed with regret and firmed his resolve to train harder.

After watching the fight, he pretty much understood Kakashi's current strength: very strong, but if he works hard, he's the kind which can be caught up to.

If his Sharingan evolves to Three Tomoe, and he refines his Breath of Flame Chakra Mode, as long as Kakashi doesn't make huge progress, he definitely won't be his match.

"If I fully master Armament Aura and improve Instant Body Jutsu, maybe I'll manage." Shisui had also found his direction to work toward.

Kakashi made Shisui, previously undefeated, lose once—so after getting stronger, Shisui will challenge Kakashi first.

The fight ended, and everyone went off to cultivate with passionate determination, even exchange student Shizune.

"No wonder little Rin got so strong—with a great teacher like Teacher Mokgetsu and friends like Kakashi and Might Guy around." Shizune finally understood why Nohara Rin's strength had increased.

Actually, during the first special training, she was even a bit stronger than Nohara Rin. Rin was assigned to Group B at first, while she started in Group A.

But now Nohara Rin is already a Chunin, mastering Medical Ninjutsu and Water Release, and she's just a Genin who's especially good at medical techniques.

Though Shizune isn't one to like comparisons, such a situation easily sparks a fighting spirit. The cultivation atmosphere here is too good—being idle actually feels guilty.

"Guy, come here a second, I'll teach you a new taijutsu." Mokgetsu stopped Might Guy, who was about to continue practicing Konoha Dragon God.

Now that Might Guy has mastered Konoha Dragon God, Mokgetsu can officially teach him Golden Horizon.

Golden Horizon is different from regular Taijutsu; it needs long-term honing to truly unleash its power. Teaching it earlier gives Guy more time to refine it.

Hearing Mokgetsu's words, Might Guy quickly ran up to him.

"Is it that Hirudora from last time, the one you used against Teacher Chen's Konoha Dragon God?" Guy asked curiously.

Mokgetsu's previous use of Hirudora left a deep impression on him—it was a Taijutsu utterly different from Konoha Dragon God, but equally powerful.

Mokgetsu shook his head with a smile. "If you master the method I'm about to teach, it'll be even stronger than Hirudora!"

Having already mastered many powerful ninjutsu and taijutsu, Golden Horizon ranks among the very top.

Guy's eyes went wide. He'd seen Mokgetsu use Hirudora—the aftershock almost blew them far away, and this new taijutsu was supposed to be even stronger. He could hardly imagine it. The strongest moves he'd seen so far were Hirudora and Konoha Dragon God.

"This move is called Dragon Slayer Legend: Golden Horizon!" As he spoke, Mokgetsu took out a broken nunchaku, preparing to demonstrate for Guy.

Mokgetsu gripped the iron chain in his right hand, placing his left behind his waist, then extended his middle and index fingers.

This move is stronger when done with the middle and index fingers—Dragon Slayer II used weaker ring and pinky fingers for special reason.

Guy stared closely at Mokgetsu, sensing his aura growing stronger. He instinctively held his breath, fixed his gaze on Mokgetsu's extended fingers.

"Golden Horizon!"

Mokgetsu pushed Breath of Rock to the limit, entered Transparent World, and suddenly lunged forward. As he charged, his left hand mimicked drawing a blade, pulling his right forward in a smooth slash—reaching straight out ahead, forming a thin line parallel to the ground, then slicing at lightning speed.

A beautiful golden line flashed by.

Rumble rumble rumble!!

A violent explosion erupted—the ground beneath Mokgetsu cracked, forming a giant pit. All the surrounding trees were severed in a burst of golden light, even larger rocks were sliced cleanly in half as though invisible sword qi had swept through everything around Mokgetsu.

"Such incredible power!" Guy exclaimed in awe, seeing the devastated ground and the ragged surroundings.

He felt that even if there'd been a small mountain before Mokgetsu, it could've been cut down just now.

The commotion was even greater than before with Orochinagi, drawing every disciple's attention.

"Looks like we'll have to change places again," Obito scratched his head, looking at the empty forest.

Kakashi's face turned serious, because he knew exactly who'd be the first to face Guy once he mastered this move.

"Is it my turn tomorrow?" Kakashi felt he'd better learn something new himself, too.
