Chapter 505 - Chapter 293: Mission Privileges

"Then I must see how terrifying its power is." Mokgetsu replied with a smile, letting Anko come over.

If it were Obito, he might have been fooled by Anko, but Mokgetsu was Anko's homeroom teacher; how could he not know what Anko was capable of?

"Humph, then Teacher Mokgetsu, you better watch closely!" Anko said, quickly forming seals with her hands.

"Deception Jutsu!"

Bang bang!!

Several puffs of smoke passed, and several adult Ankos wearing fishnet stockings appeared.

"If I succeed this time, I'll treat you all to dumplings." Looking at the bell within reach, Anko thought excitedly.

Although it has no effect on female ninjas, Anko remembers that this technique, concocted by good friends, works wonders on male ninjas.

Thus, Anko came up with this idea: first using an excuse to get close to Mokgetsu and then using Deception Jutsu to attract attention and finally succeed in grabbing the bell.

Snap!

Quicker than Anko's hand approaching the bell, Mokgetsu's finger tapped Anko's forehead.

Mokgetsu tapped Anko's forehead with his index and middle fingers together and said, "This is not terrifying."

He wasn't Teacher Chen or Sarutobi Hiruzen; such a technique was useless against him.

Under Mokgetsu's tap, Anko retreated two steps, distancing herself from the bell she so desired.

"Damn it, it's completely ineffective. I'll give them two punches when I meet them." Feeling frustrated, Anko decided not to treat her good friends to dumplings but a fist.

Shizune: ...

She couldn't believe that this adorable-looking junior, Anko, was so difficult to judge.

Both her confident stride and the jutsu used later were overly comical, even making Shizune, a very gentle person, unable to resist wanting to criticize.

Shisui, on the other hand, wasn't too surprised.

Although his main body was always cultivating in the Southern Border Forest, he sent a Shadow Clone to school each time, and upon dissolution, the memories would flow back, so he had been classmates with Anko for nearly two years and knew her well.

Anko always had the courage to disregard others' opinions; whatever actions Anko took, Shisui would not be too surprised.

After a short break, Shisui began a new round of bell-grabbing.

Meanwhile, Shizune and Anko, lacking the strength for direct combat, tried their best to come up with ways to snatch Mokgetsu's bell.

But whether fighting individually or teaming up as three to create opportunities for Shisui, they ultimately failed to grab the bell from Mokgetsu's waist.

The sun gradually moved westward, the sky transitioned from bright to dark, and until evening, nobody completed the training.

"You all worked hard. That's it for today. Tomorrow, I'll take you on a mission," Mokgetsu announced the end of the first day of internship.

Mokgetsu wasn't too surprised by this result.

The purpose of Shisui's participation in the internship was to graduate early and enhance strength.

To make Shisui feel the pressure for better growth, Mokgetsu intended to start off strong, making this training impossible to complete unless Shisui made a breakthrough.

Next day, the four gathered at the training ground and then went together to the Hokage Building.

"Teacher Mokgetsu, what mission are we going on? It's not going to be fighting enemy village ninjas, right? I think that's a bit too early; isn't there some ordinary robber we can practice with first?" Anko couldn't help but ask on the road.

"Don't worry, no ninja battle will be involved yet," Mokgetsu replied with a faint smile.

After arriving at the Hokage Building mission place, Anko was dumbfounded; it was indeed safer than she imagined, but much too safe.

"Why are all the missions just moving things and picking up trash? Do ninjas only do this?" Anko complained looking at the D-Class Missions.

"This is for the safety of intern ninjas and newly graduated ninjas," a registered ninja explained briefly.

Anko scratched her head and felt relieved that the money wasn't too little; each task earned about 5,000 ryo.

Then Mokgetsu led Anko and the others on a speed run, completing 20 D-Class Missions in one day.

A regular internship certainly couldn't meet the growth needs of his squad, so Mokgetsu needed to gain the same privileges as last time.

But to get those privileges, he must first demonstrate strength; otherwise, it would break Konoha's rules.

Within the next week, Mokgetsu alternated between missions and cultivation, doing a mission on Tuesday and then training on Wednesday before another mission on Thursday.

Besides the bell-grabbing on the first day, the rest were normal training sessions, teaching ninjutsu and taijutsu.

Mokgetsu planned a bell-grabbing session every three weeks; after all, doing it daily couldn't possibly ensure daily breakthroughs.

During this time, Mokgetsu taught the completed Breath of Wind to Asuma, who had been practicing Basic Breathing for several months, making it relatively easy for him to pick up Breath of Wind, just like when Nohara Rin learned Breath of Water.

Witnessing the magic of Mokgetsu's Breath of Wind, Asuma was incredibly excited.

"I knew Teacher Mokgetsu, you are the most talented ninja; the old man still calls himself a Ninja Technique Professor. How could his developed ninjutsu compare to Breath of Wind?" Asuma said with pride.

Asuma initially thought the Basic Breathing that enhanced his body was already very strong; after all, his chakra speed had increased since practicing Basic Breathing.

After practicing Breath of Wind, he realized Basic Breathing really was just basic.

Breath of Wind almost shattered Asuma's ninja worldview; he never thought there could be such a technique that strengthens Wind Attribute Nature Transformation, enhances Wind Release power, and at a certain realm enters Breath of Wind Chakra Mode for seal-free release of all Wind Release.

"The Third excels in areas different from mine; he is better at Combined Ninjutsu," Mokgetsu shook his head and said.

The enhancement from Breathing Techniques is powerful, but the five-release ninjutsu unleashed by Sarutobi Hiruzen at full power is by no means weak.

Before teaching Asuma, Mokgetsu straightforwardly told him that Breath of Wind was a Hiden Ninjutsu he developed over a long time; if Asuma wished to teach it to others, he must inform him first.

Asuma didn't feel particularly bothered by this, considering it was such a strong and unfathomable technique.

When learning the Sorutobi Clan's Fire Release Secret Techniques, Asuma was also warned, but he felt those Fire Release Secret Techniques couldn't compare to Breath of Wind.

Another notable point is that Obito's life mission progress suddenly surged again.

Linking the chakra reward hints from previous missions completed by Obito and Kakashi and the Flying Thunder God coordinates that were not sensed for a long time, Mokgetsu reckoned Minato was taking Obito and the others on missions on the battlefield, where Obito performed well, thus accelerating mission progress.

To become Hokage, actually only three things are needed: strength, achievements, and fame.

The second and third can be gradually accumulated through mission, and the battlefield is the best environment for accumulation.

Mokgetsu briefly estimated, if maintaining the growth trend, in about four months, Obito's life mission could reach 20%.

In the second week, with Mokgetsu Squad clearing D-Class Missions at high speed, Sarutobi Hiruzen ultimately granted Mokgetsu Squad early permission to take on C-Class Missions.

"You are an excellent squad capable of undertaking greater responsibilities," Sarutobi Hiruzen said with a benevolent smile.

Though his words sounded nice, it was actually because if Mokgetsu Squad continued like this, other intern squads wouldn't have any missions left.

"Hurrah! No more odd jobs, Hokage-sama, you really have keen judgment." Anko laughed merrily, giving Sarutobi Hiruzen a thumbs up.

Shisui's face showed a faint smile; consistently doing D-Class Missions clearly couldn't achieve the enhancements obtained by Might Guy and the others, it was necessary to leave the village.

Mokgetsu thanked Sarutobi Hiruzen and then began to select missions.

Choosing a mission is also a skill, because Mokgetsu needed to pick a mission with a high likelihood of unexpected developments but not those he couldn't handle.

It should be close to war but not near the center of the battlefield, and strong ninjas shouldn't appear in that battlefield.

"Northern Land of Rivers..." Mokgetsu saw an attractive mission involving defeating bandits.
