Chapter 556 - Chapter 308: Father and Son Reunited Across Time and Space (End of Dragon Vein)

Kakashi couldn't be bothered with Obito. Space-Time is arguably the most difficult part of Ninjutsu, and this kind of time travel is unheard of. How could it happen so easily?

"What flavor of ramen would you like?" Minato asked.

"Dad, just make me some pork rib char siu," Uzumaki Naruto thought for a moment and replied.

Two bowls of ramen of the same flavor, he could enjoy them greatly, but both favorite flavors would be even better.

Minato nodded and went into the kitchen and said something to Mokgetsu, then the two of them prepared dinner together, though it was mostly Minato assisting Mokgetsu.

"Wait, Big Brother Naruto, what did you just call Mr. Minato?" Obito thought he misheard.

"Dad, oh, I forgot to tell you guys, actually, I'm his son from the future," Uzumaki Naruto explained.

Both Yamato and Kakashi weren't too surprised; they had some guesses, but hearing Naruto say it himself still hit them a bit.

Obito looked utterly shocked and asked, "Since you're Mr. Minato's child, why are you called Uzumaki Naruto instead of Namikaze Naruto?"

He really hadn't thought that the future ninja he got along with was actually his teacher's future son.

"In that case, it feels a bit off for me to call Naruto 'big brother'; he should be the one calling me 'big brother'," Obito thought, stroking his chin.

Kakashi looked helplessly at Obito, really wishing Obito would think a bit more before speaking.

"I'm not sure. Ever since I can remember, I don't have any memories of my family," Uzumaki Naruto answered with a shake of his head.

"I'm sorry, that was my mistake," Obito covered his mouth with his hand.

He just realized now that Namikaze Minato must have died before Uzumaki Naruto could remember, otherwise why would Uzumaki Naruto call Minato 'big brother'?

"It's fine, it's been over ten years; I'm used to it," Uzumaki Naruto waved it off nonchalantly.

He was only regretful for not discovering sooner that Namikaze Minato was his father; otherwise, he would've spent more time interacting with him.

As dish after dish and bowl after bowl of ramen were served on the table, the chatter at the dining table gradually quieted and eventually subsided.

Despite the effort, Uzumaki Naruto consumed quite a bit of Mokgetsu's other dishes, even though two large bowls of ramen didn't take much of his time.

"That was delicious," Uzumaki Naruto said contentedly, patting his slightly protruding belly after the meal.

"If only I could stay one more day."

"Then just stay one more day," Mokgetsu said, sipping some tea.

Uzumaki Naruto widened his eyes at Mokgetsu, looking incredulous.

He thought time travel was a very serious matter; who knew it could be delayed by a day?

"Mr. Mokgetsu, is it okay to stay one more day?" Yamato asked, unsure.

"Staying one more day isn't an issue, but beyond that, I can't guarantee," Mokgetsu replied, setting down his teacup.

Seeing Naruto and Minato reunite, Mokgetsu thought giving them another day of warmth was alright. They've been around for so many days, one more wouldn't hurt.

"Mokgetsu, you're practically Sage Mokgetsu!" Uzumaki Naruto decisively joined Obito's Mokgetsu cult.

Uzumaki Naruto was indeed very happy today, but having just reunited with his father only to be separated soon, he couldn't help but feel melancholic. Hearing they could stay another day genuinely delighted him.

Inside Naruto, the Nine-tails wasn't pleased; this wasn't how he imagined things to play out.

"Where did this guy come from? I don't recall anyone like this before?" The Nine-tails thought, puzzled, having no memories of Mokgetsu.

The Nine-tails closed its eyes, deciding not to bother with such matters.

Minato also looked at Mokgetsu with surprise; this indeed was an unexpected surprise, and Mokgetsu hadn't mentioned it to him before.

Minato suspected they might be able to extend their stay even longer, but he didn't ask Mokgetsu, knowing Mokgetsu had his reasons for doing this.

On the true last day, Minato, as a father, took Uzumaki Naruto to explore Loulan.

Given Loulan's relatively small size, they revisited some places they had been to the day before, yet Uzumaki Naruto remained joyful. After all, this was him going out with his father, an experience he never had before.

"Naruto, I've called you Big Brother Naruto so many times, now that you're leaving, won't you call me Big Brother Obito at least once?" Obito suddenly suggested.

"Even though you seem older than me, if we're counting actual age, I should be older than you."

"Then wait until I'm born and let him call you that," Uzumaki Naruto laughed heartily.

Calling someone so much younger than himself 'big brother' felt strange to Uzumaki Naruto. Even the youthful Kakashi, he only referred to as Little Kakashi Sensei.

Uzumaki Naruto's comment almost caused Obito's CPU to overheat.

"It's about to start; are you ready?" Mokgetsu placed his hand on An Lushan.

"Goodbye, Dad, Brother Mokgetsu, Little Kakashi Sensei, Obito, and Little Rin!" Uzumaki Naruto said his final goodbyes.

"Goodbye, Naruto," Minato waved with a smile.

Boom!

Seeing Kakashi's head, Yamato couldn't help but deliver a punch.

"Sorry, Kakashi-senpai, I just couldn't resist; you always bully me," Yamato apologized, smiling.

Kakashi glared at Yamato with a dark face; so it's Yamato, huh? He'd remember this face and name, and Yamato would pay later.

Mokgetsu entered the Breath of Flame Chakra Mode and covered An Lushan with a Fire Release. After An Lushan's death, his body released a surge of powerful Dragon Vein Energy. A purple light flashed, and Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato vanished from sight.
