Chapter 560 - Chapter 309: Mission Gains, Obito's Life Task Recalculated (Part 4)

Uzumaki Naruto really envied the Uzumaki Naruto from another world who hadn't been born yet, because he might have things that Uzumaki Naruto could never possess.

"Little Teacher Kakashi, Obito, Little Rin, keep it up!" Uzumaki Naruto silently cheered for Kakashi and his team from the other world in his heart.

Although he was envious, Uzumaki Naruto still sincerely hoped that the other version of himself wouldn't be like him.

If his father were alive, with an elder like Mokgetsu, and a fun big brother like Obito, he would surely have a happy and interesting childhood.

"Forget about Naruto, but even you, Yamato, are acting recklessly. Fortunately, it's not really going back to the past. Otherwise, your actions might cause unimaginable consequences," Kakashi said as he casually tossed a leaf to the ground.

Kakashi believed that changing history could lead to extremely terrifying consequences, and Yamato's decision this time was too reckless.

"I really couldn't refuse your pleading expression, Senior Kakashi," Yamato joked, as if trying to shift the blame to Kakashi.

Kakashi raised an eyebrow, "Oh, is that so? Then I beg you, Yamato, to treat Naruto and me to a bowl of ramen, no problem, right?"

He thought this would help lessen the heaviness in Uzumaki Naruto's heart.

Yamato could only agree reluctantly, thinking that the Kakashi from the other world was better, at least he wouldn't make him pay.

"Let's go have some ramen. Naruto, eat as much as you want, as many bowls as you like. Yamato has saved up quite a bit of money, so don't worry about him not being able to pay," Kakashi said with a relaxed and cheerful smile, patting Uzumaki Naruto on the shoulder.

Yamato was shocked that Kakashi even knew about his savings.

Uzumaki Naruto hadn't had Ichiraku Ramen in a long time, and he missed it a bit, so he readily agreed.

But after having a few bites of Ichiraku Ramen, Naruto found that it seemed to have lost the deliciousness he remembered, tasting far less flavorful than the ramen made by Mokgetsu, and the emotional connection wasn't as strong as with his father's ramen.

"Naruto, what's wrong, is today's ramen not to your taste?" Teuchi noticed Uzumaki Naruto's unusual state while eating ramen, so he asked with concern.

Teuchi's words reminded Uzumaki Naruto of the encouragement and support Teuchi had given him. During those days when the whole village shunned Uzumaki Naruto, Teuchi was one of the few people who didn't look at him with contempt.

Uzumaki Naruto sped up his eating a bit, quickly finishing the ramen in the bowl, then smiled and said, "No, it's just as delicious as before!"

He would miss Mokgetsu and Namikaze Minato, and might even find a way to return, but he would also cherish the things before him.

...

"I knew it wouldn't work." After Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato left, Mokgetsu found that he couldn't sense the Flying Thunder God Kunai on them anymore.

He tried to see if he could use the Flying Thunder God to travel back and forth between two worlds. If he succeeded, then there would be many options for the fifth disciple, and it would be like having the resources of another world.

Obviously, it didn't work. This was way beyond his sensing range.

Mokgetsu wasn't too disappointed. He had considered this possibility since traversing worlds shouldn't be that simple.

"I hope everything goes well for them." Thinking about Uzumaki Naruto's life after returning, Namikaze Minato sincerely wished them well.

"It will," Mokgetsu said with a smile.

With the Breath of Yang, Uzumaki Naruto would only be stronger than the original story.

"To prevent historical changes, I think we need to seal the memories of this Loulan mission," Namikaze Minato turned his gaze back and spoke of the main issue.

It's fine for future ninjas to know about past events, but if past ninjas knew about the future, that would be problematic.

Upon hearing Minato's words, Kakashi and the others immediately became nervous. Although they recorded some details of the future, if their memories were sealed, the effectiveness of that information would be uncertain. The success rate of changing the future would definitely drop significantly.

Obito exchanged frantic glances with Kakashi and Nohara Rin.

Obito: 'What do we do if the memories are sealed? We're doomed.'

Kakashi: 'Don't panic yet, don't talk about changing history, let's see what Teacher Mokgetsu thinks.'

Kakashi forced himself to calm down and used his eyes to signal to Obito not to speak. He had suspected Namikaze Minato didn't want to change history, but he hadn't anticipated Minato would go so far as to choose to seal the memories.

One must know if the memories were to be sealed, then all of Namikaze Minato's and Naruto's recollections would disappear.

"I don't think it has to go that far. If the future is unchangeable, then are we all just puppets controlled by a written script? Since the future isn't set in stone, why should we seal away these beautiful memories?" Mokgetsu said, shaking his head.

Sealing the memories of Loulan had no effect on Mokgetsu. After all, his identity as a transmigrator meant he already knew the entire storyline.

If he didn't want to be sealed, with his current level of Fuinjutsu, fooling Minato wouldn't be a problem, but Mokgetsu still had to express his opposition.

Because he felt that these memories were worth reminiscing for Namikaze Minato and his team, and there was no need to seal them away for such a meaningless reason. With him around, this world would not follow the original plot's future.

Obito's eyes brightened, silently cheering Mokgetsu on, hoping Mokgetsu could persuade Namikaze Minato.

"I don't think we are puppets acting according to a script, I just believe we have a responsibility to those in the future," Namikaze Minato stated his perspective, not being someone who wavers easily and wouldn't change his mind because of Mokgetsu's words.
