The four individuals were not ordinary ninjas; under their full-speed journey, they quickly returned to Konoha.
Konoha's Hokage Rock is located on the cliff behind Konoha, and from any position in Konoha, one can see that huge Hokage Rock.
Yamato once loved this characteristic; just looking up would allow him to see those great ninjas who fought for Konoha, but now he felt that being too visible might not be a good thing.
Staring at the giant Namikaze Minato Rock, Uzumaki Naruto's eyes dimmed; they really hadn't changed anything.
Uzumaki Naruto felt somewhat guilty inside; if he knew a bit more, maybe Kakashi and the others could have succeeded.
Yamato hesitated to speak, unsure of how to comfort Naruto at the moment.
In truth, Yamato's emotions were also complicated now. Initially, he didn't want to change history, fearing that altering history might lead to Konoha's demise or significant upheaval in the Ninja World.
However, through interactions with Mokgetsu and others, and the recognition between Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Naruto, Yamato felt changing the future might not be too bad. If the new history of Konoha included Mokgetsu and Namikaze Minato, it wouldn't be worse than its current state.
Yamato had to disband the team first, then went with Uzumaki Naruto to find Kakashi, hoping to get some information from him.
"The mission went smoothly, coming back so quickly," Kakashi glanced briefly away from the book in his hand, looking at Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato as he spoke.
From that glance, Kakashi noticed something was off about Uzumaki Naruto's emotions and closed the Make-Out Paradise book to look at Naruto.
"Kakashi-senpai, do you know Uchiha Obito and Nohara Rin?" Yamato asked.
Upon hearing those names, long-sealed memories were reopened, and Kakashi's exposed, ordinary eye pupils suddenly shrank.
Kakashi sighed and nodded, "They were my friends before, sacrificed during the Third Ninja World War. How do you know these names?"
Even after more than ten years, Kakashi still found it hard to forget these two deceased old friends, often self-reproaching inwardly.
Yamato looked shocked; he hadn't expected Obito and Nohara Rin to die so early. Could it be they sacrificed to save Mokgetsu?
"What about Mokgetsu-senpai, did he also die during the Third Ninja World War?" Uzumaki Naruto adjusted his emotions and stared at Kakashi as he asked.
Endlessly mourning was not his style; if it didn't work once, he would try a second time. But before going, Uzumaki Naruto needed to figure out how Mokgetsu died.
Yamato also looked at Kakashi; he sensed that Mokgetsu's death was a crucial point, possibly the reason history hadn't changed.
"Mokgetsu-senpai? Which Mokgetsu are you talking about?" Kakashi pondered for a moment before asking back.
"Habu Mokgetsu, he was your teacher. Kakashi-sensei, have you forgotten?" Uzumaki Naruto frowned and asked loudly.
Not joking, Uzumaki Naruto now wanted to give Kakashi a punch or two, forgetting someone so important.
Uzumaki Naruto's demeanor made Kakashi a bit uncertain, but he recalled everyone who taught him since childhood and still couldn't find any ninja named Habu or Mokgetsu.
"Where did you hear this from, Naruto? I can clearly tell you, I don't have a teacher named Habu Mokgetsu," Kakashi answered with a serious expression.
Kakashi's expression looked very earnest, not at all joking.
Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato looked at each other, both showing expressions of shock and confusion.
"How is this possible? Little Kakashi-sensei respected Mokgetsu-senpai so much," Uzumaki Naruto recalled everything from the time travel experience, his eyes gradually turning dazed.
Uzumaki Naruto really couldn't understand what was going on; even if Mokgetsu died in the Third Ninja World War, Kakashi shouldn't have outright forgotten him, as he remembered Obito and Nohara Rin.
Yamato felt he was running out of brainpower; the situation was entirely different from what he imagined, not only did history remain unchanged, but Kakashi was also perplexed.
"Did you experience something during this mission?" Kakashi asked upon seeing the odd behavior of the two.
They just met not long ago, and at that time, Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato were still normal. Something must have happened during the mission.
"We were capturing the traitorous ninja Mukade at Loulan; Mukade devoured the Dragon Vein Seal, causing the Dragon Vein Energy to rampage, and then we traveled back to the past, where we encountered Kakashi-senpai's younger self and your teammates and teacher..."
Yamato chose to tell Kakashi the whole backstory of the Loulan mission, hoping it would clarify the situation.
"Traveled back to the past and met my younger self?" Kakashi frowned tightly after hearing this.
What Yamato said sounded very much like the content of a ninja novel, time-traveling to the past and encountering young elders and past strong figures.
But Kakashi could tell Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato weren't joking, speaking of real experiences, or at least that's what Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato believed.
"Could it be possible, that Dragon Vein Energy has hallucinatory effects, and everything that happened was an illusion?" Kakashi thought for a moment before speaking.
Compared to time travel, Kakashi considered this possibility more plausible since he didn't know Habu Mokgetsu and didn't recall meeting Yamato or Uzumaki Naruto during his youth.
