"Then I'll go wake him," Shima Sage prepared to wake Naruto.
Fukasaku Sage shook his head and raised a hand to block Shima Sage. "The death of little Jiraiya has hit him hard. He's under a lot of pressure now and probably didn't sleep well last night. Let him sleep a bit longer."
When it was time for cultivation, Fukasaku Sage finally woke Naruto, and Shima Sage reheated breakfast.
"Uh, Grandpa Sage, good morning," Naruto rubbed his somewhat sore eyes.
Although Fukasaku Sage had allowed Naruto extra sleep, Naruto had slept too late, so he still hadn't had enough rest.
Forcing himself to be spirited, Naruto smiled at Fukasaku Sage.
Little things like staying up late couldn't defeat him — Naruto was determined to become Hokage.

After breakfast, it was another day of Sage Mode combat training.

However, for Naruto, the training at night was the main focus.
Though both Frog Kata and Immortal Technique Rasengan were good, they paled in comparison to Rasengan Shuriken.

Before leaving Konoha, Tsunade had told Naruto that if they progressed quickly, within a week they could obtain more intel on Pain through interrogation and autopsy.
If all went smoothly, by tomorrow, Konoha should be able to consolidate all intel and uncover Pain's secrets, then gather their forces to deal with the Akatsuki.
Naruto wanted to get stronger quickly to take part and personally avenge Jiraiya.
"I hope everything goes well on Kakashi-sensei's side," Naruto thought of the young Jiraiya he had seen when traveling through time.
According to Kakashi's speculation, the worlds are similar yet different.
Even though Naruto may never be able to visit that world again, he sincerely hoped that Namikaze Minato and Jiraiya from that world could live well.
