Chapter 962 - Chapter 134: Cosmic Virus (Double-Length)

From Hunter M's mouth, Natsuhiko learned that they had once invaded Seven Treasures City's Seven Treasures Museum, which made him decide to find Hunter S, or find his corpse.

But his true intention was for the item in the seventh box.

In his view, if this "Dark Stone" was real, the hunters wouldn't have obtained it so easily.

But now that he thinks back.

There might be some things he doesn't yet know about.

"It seems that I still need to go back and thoroughly ask M about the entire process of how they handled the museum. The Hunter Guild doing what other organizations frequently do instead of capturing Pokémon is in itself a big issue."

Looking at the "Dark Stone" fallen on the ground, Natsuhiko felt a bit of a headache.

This object is the sleeping Zekrom, the legendary Ideal Dragon, making it an exceedingly precious item.

Theoretically speaking, Zekrom should be on par with Rayquaza as a Divine Beast.

Without counting Super Evolution.

Yet this is just theoretical.

But upon learning of Hunter S's actions and the potential trick involved in this accident, he felt this was a hot potato.

Natsuhiko wouldn't naively assume he could become a Legendary Hero like N or Ash Ketchum, gaining Zekrom's acknowledgment.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have failed to identify its authenticity upon the first contact.

Nor would he flash into a small room scene, playing "Truth or Dare" with Zekrom.

Moreover, his rash attempt to crush the "Dark Stone" with psychic power must have left a bad impression on Zekrom.

Approaching slowly.

After ensuring there wouldn't be a reaction from the "Dark Stone," Natsuhiko slightly exhaled in relief.

Returning it to the wooden box.

"It's uncertain whether to awaken Zekrom, should one go to Dragon Spiral Tower."

Looking at the settled box on the ground, Natsuhiko rubbed his chin.

After all, the Twin Dragons were sealed inside Dragon Spiral Tower, possibly requiring a visit there to release the first seal.

Carefully placing the wooden box in the corner of his backpack.

Even if it's hot to touch.

Since he began pursuing Hunter S, the connection couldn't be disentangled.

His gaze shifted to the last wooden box.

This time, Natsuhiko's actions were much more cautious, using psychic power to slowly open it.

Inside the box.

It contained something about the same size as the "Dark Stone," but its surface was rugged, and the stone's color and shine were distinctly different from ordinary stones.

This is a meteorite.

And it was the true target of Natsuhiko's operation this time.

On it, there were large amounts of dangerous Cosmic Virus, a virus that Pokémon Realm's technology currently couldn't discern or explain.

And the reason for locating it was primarily due to Deoxys, which should still be sleeping on some meteorite outside the planet.

Deoxys, this Pokémon originates from the cosmos.

And its birth wasn't through the typical Pokémon methods of laying and hatching eggs. They were born from Cosmic Virus undergoing DNA mutation and some currently inexplicable changes.

Upon learning that Deoxys sensed there's a companion in the Pokémon Realm transmitting signals to it, Natsuhiko wondered where it might be.

Until he arrived at the Unova Region.

Upon hearing about the Seven Treasures Museum from Hunter M, he suddenly recalled and believed there seemed to be such a meteorite inside the Seven Treasures Museum.

Thus, locating this meteorite was to provide an account for Deoxys.

Though it might not be capable of breaching Rayquaza's airspace, it wasn't entirely unprecedented.

If Deoxys found him and he couldn't deliver the result it wanted, it would be troublesome.

Now having obtained the meteorite.

Whether or not it was the "companion" Deoxys was searching for, at least a reasonable account was provided.

After confirming the meteorite's authenticity, Natsuhiko didn't delve into its examination.

Gathering up everything from the ground.

To count the gains back home.

Turning his gaze to Nidoking and Scolipede, the two Pokémon from Hunter S.

He furrowed his brow slightly.

"Audino?" Natsuhiko called.

"Buduo..."

Audino looked distressed as it seemed its treatment had no effect on these two Pokémon.

Natsuhiko pressed his lips together.

"...It appears the side effect from the Genetic Potion damaged their genes, not their bodily injuries."

To this, Natsuhiko had anticipated it somewhat.

But to lose two Elite Trainer Level Pokémon just like that—no matter how, it still felt like a painful loss.

"Not just them."

Looking at the Pokeballs taken from Hunter S.

Through the glass surface of the Pokeballs, he could see that the contained Pokémon were mostly in the same condition as Nidoking and Scolipede.

"This was Hunter S's confidence against Thundurus," Natsuhiko said slowly.

In his view, even if all the Pokémon were sacrificed, if he could trade them for one Thundurus, it was still worthwhile.

Just like Tom Rokicki's idea back then.

Except Tom Rokicki captured an ordinary Zapdos, and she succeeded.

But Hunter S was confronting a true Divine Beast, and failure was inevitable.

Hunter S must have felt significant pressure.

Perhaps from Tom Rokicki, perhaps from the Plasma Team, or possibly from the Rocket Team.

Which forced him to take a risk and gamble.

"It should be this one."

Natsuhiko extracted a test tube containing transparent liquid from the random objects in the backpack, which under sunlight, displayed a colorful appearance.
