Chapter 1177 - Chapter 691: The Real Test

These people gathering around were all giants, not many in number, and not as strong as the first generation of giant captains under Teach, but each wore a confident smile at this moment.

No idea what they're so confident about.

"Yo! Scourge!"

One of the giants casually greeted Sage, "We've met before, when you entered the cell, I was right next to you. I admire you, you're the first guy who busted through Impel Down alone..."

Saying this, he clenched his fist with a sinister grin, "But because of that, I'm really displeased! Why is it you, huh? It's you who're famous, you who're powerful! Even the biggest influence is yours, I'm displeased, very displeased! But it's because of that you're worth taking down!"

Poof!

As soon as he finished speaking, his head was pierced through.

Sage didn't even reply, he just stretched out a finger and blasted a Tenmago Fluctuation into the boastful giant's head.

The moment his head was pierced through, his entire body turned to ashes.

Sage dug his ear impatiently, "Is this little buddy of yours always this brave? Does he not know I can perform Instant Kill? Who the hell knows him, and even if he's displeased, so what? What's up, gonna take me down?"

"Zehahaha! Killing early is useless!"

Teach suddenly stretched out his hand, displaying a Dark Spiral. In the murkiness, within his perception, something seemed to be drawn towards him.

"Augur!"

At this moment, Teach called out, and Van Augur, who was entangled with Renedia, instantly appeared near Teach, bringing along a giant from the rear, teleporting in front of Teach.

Bang!

The darkness in Teach's hand struck his body as he shouted, "Do it!"

Saying this, he took the lead, one hand exhibiting Dark Gravity aimed directly at Sage, the other emitting a vibrating white light, aimed in Sage's direction.

"Dark Water!"

Power sometimes is absolute.

It's an undeniable fact that there are demons within Sage's body, and when the Dark-Dark Fruit activates Dark Water, to ordinary people it's just suction, but for an Ability User, it's an inescapable gravity.

Under this gravity, Sage's body involuntarily flew in that direction.

"Lost your mind?"

Sage didn't even try to stop, instead, he increased his speed, flashing towards Teach faster than being drawn in, hitting Teach's wrist with his arm, emitting a snapping explosion with just a touch.

It pained Teach so much his face turned ashen, cold sweat pouring down.

But under normal circumstances, an arm that should have exploded, even with Haki entering the body, making it blow up, for Teach's Dark-Dark Fruit attributes, it merely caused him to endure pain multiple times more than his body exploding.

This guy is indeed tough to deal with in some way; normal compressed Haki, or techniques like the Tenmago Fluctuation, his fruit's natural attribute can absorb damage, unless struck consecutively and using Tenmago Destruction can his ability not keep up with Sage's power, dealing surpassing-limit pain turning him to ash.

"If it weren't for this immortality attribute, you would've died long ago, but this pain is enough for you. Knowing this, yet you still fight in close combat with me..."

Sage looked at Teach who was using Dark Gravity to hold him still despite being blocked by Haki and sneered, "Trying to stall my movement first? Seems like you're not that confident with the ability you prepared."

He wasn't afraid of a prolonged battle, but the problem now is, this isn't some consumption fight, actually attracting his force, apart from suffering pain for nothing, the only thing to do is delay.

"Zehahaha, it hurts so much I want to die, but it's okay, temporary pain, for future glory! It's all birth pain!"

Teach, flashing a grin with missing teeth, said, "Begin!"

With his shout, the surrounding giants quickly took action.

A bald giant raised both hands, emitting a light, the glow encompassing below, under which the floating debris around seemed to become clearly visible, no longer dancing but suspended in mid-air.

"Oh? Suspension..."

Sage glanced up, scoffing, "Gained an ability with decent strength, and developed it to that extent?"

Saying this, he raised his other arm, swiftly striking Teach again, with a bang, an explosion erupted on his shoulder, making Teach's ashen face even more ghastly, sweat pouring like rain.

Yet at this moment, he forcibly endured, clenching his teeth, slamming his vibrating white fist down, not on Sage, but in the air in front of him.

Thud!

With the air shattering under the collision of vibration and dark gravity, Sage's movements were forcibly slowed.

"Can't affect you? Is that so, but there's more!"

Meanwhile, the guy hit by Teach, after a brief moment of daze, showed a joyful expression, glaring at Sage, releasing a dark purple orb descending.

In that instant, it was obvious that Sage's upward glance slowed.

"This kind of stuff..." Sage didn't even look, just about to speak, but Teach's voice resounded again.

"Not over yet!"

Another giant made a gesture as if emitting a light wave, and indeed released one, projecting it onto Sage.
