Resurrected from death!
Teach's sudden revival stunned everyone nearby for a moment, then furious shouts erupted.
The power of resurrection!
Their boss… is immortal!
In this world, what power could be stronger than not dying?!
Blackbeard's side began to cheer, while on the Disaster Pirates' side, most had their morale drop, their attacking movements growing sluggish.
Immortal...
How are we supposed to fight that?
Against someone you just can't kill, fighting is utterly meaningless.
On the battlefield, Moriah swept away several charging Pirates with a Shadow Claw, then turned to look over there. He wasn't surprised at all, and cackled sharply:
"As expected, it's the same power as the Five Elders."
Bang!
Elsewhere, Weevil burst forward, the naginata in his hand spinning in a circle. The shockwaves from just swinging it cleared a ring of people, and when he reached Van Augur, he chopped down, blasting out a massive crater.
But the instant the blade passed through, Van Augur used Instant Teleportation to appear in midair. Before his figure fully manifested, that silhouette in the sky teleported again, dodging the energy beam that shot up from below.
"You're not surprised?"
Van Augur flashed to another position, firing a few shots in passing to shatter the energy beam, then finally lowered his head to look down at Renedia, who was grinning up at him viciously.
"Makes sense. During the Egghead incident, you saw all of the Five Elders, so resurrection abilities don't shock you. But why are you this confident, acting like it won't be troublesome… Is your confidence in Sage? Yet Sage doesn't have a record of killing any of the Five Elders; there's nothing he can do about this."
Van Augur muttered, his gaze shifting to that white-haired man who still had his back to everyone, a probing look in his eyes. "Fate… you still haven't revealed yourself yet?"
On the other side, Devon, in Saturn's form, exchanged a glance with Marika. Marika suddenly stomped down, the ground trembling as a shockwave spread, and she launched herself like a cannonball toward that massive Ushioni Ghost Spider.
The Ushioni's pupils widened, the power of the Fierce Eye exploding forth, but the gaze's locking speed was quickly blocked by Marika's raised hand with a sharp 'pa' smack, failing to hinder her speed at all.
Even Saturn's own Fierce Eye couldn't injure them; this level was nothing.
"There's more!"
The Ushioni cackled, its spider legs turning pitch-black, while its abdomen swelled and its mouth bulged, spitting out clumps of venom that shot forward like bullets.
The venom's spread covered every direction Marika could move in; as long as she kept advancing, she would inevitably touch this highly corrosive poison.
Devon ultimately wasn't the same as Saturn; though he lacked that complete power, he still possessed the basic abilities. As long as he could make full use of these toxins, he could grind this woman to death.
If she chose not to charge in, that would be even better—he could continuously spew venom, forcing her to gradually lose room to maneuver.
The battlefield wasn't just a duel between the two of them. As long as enough time passed for Teach to win, they would peel her face off sooner or later!
Shhh!
Just as he had this thought, Marika's body accelerated even more, crashing through the incoming poison. Venom splashed onto her arms, chest, waist and abdomen, thighs, instantly melting her clothes and revealing smooth skin and the tender curves flanking that deep valley.
"Charging straight in like that—perfect!"
Joy flickered in the Ushioni's eyes as its spider leg hooked upward like a long spear, thrusting straight at the charging Marika.
This toxin wasn't just dangerous once spat out. As a Mythical type, whether in the current Transformation or the Nine-tailed Fox's true body, its Physique was definitely not inferior to a human's!
Bang!
The massive descending spider leg slammed down with a tremor—only to be caught firmly by a single hand.
Marika held up the spider leg one-handed, her hair wildly fluttering, and the eyes that had been smiling in crescent moons opened, revealing a chilled gleam.
On her body, the areas that should have been ravaged by poison were, aside from emitting white smoke, completely unmarked.
"Why?"
The Ushioni cried out, "Why is there no sign of poisoning on you! You're not a doctor, are you?!"
"Ahh, so only doctors can counter toxins? My Body Techniques aren't bad either, you know. In terms of Life Return…"
Marika slowly raised the spider leg, smiling at the Ushioni. "In all of O'hara, only Sage surpasses me. Celestial Essence·Lotus!"
Bang!
It was as if explosive force surged from every bone and limb out to the surface around Marika, echoing in a thunderous roar. With a lift of her arm, the spider leg she was holding snapped upward, and the colossal strength behind it flipped half of the Ushioni's body, exposing its soft spider abdomen.
Marika closed in with a step, her other hand clenching into a fist at her waist, Haki gathering like black light.
However potent the toxin, it was something that could be decomposed. That was where Life Return came into play. Though she wasn't quite on Sage's level, within O'hara, there truly wasn't a second person who could wield Life Return better than Marika.
Even Lily couldn't match her in this regard.
Likewise, another thing Lily couldn't match was that power ranked second in all of O'hara!
Whether it was Weevil or the Giant Race, none of them could compete with Marika when it came to raw strength.
She shared meals with Sage; with Lily and Renedia's limited appetites, whose stomach did all that food end up in?
With long-term energy intake stored via Life Return and then unleashed in burst mode, the power exploding forth now—when it came to pure strength—might already be comparable to Sage's!
