Property of Howard Stark.
Nick Fury glanced at his watch and then looked at Tony Stark: "That's about it, I have other matters to tend to."
"Romanoff will help you with the troubles regarding Pepper Potts and Stark Industries. Agent Uehara Naraku will continue to protect and monitor you until you completely resolve your palladium poisoning issue. Do not leave this house until then."
"I'm leaving now."
"Remember."
"I'll be watching you."
"Don't expect anyone else to solve your problems."
After Nick Fury finished speaking, he turned to Uehara Naraku and Natasha, speaking softly, "This place is in your hands now. If Tony really can't hold on, I've left a syringe of lithium dioxide that can temporarily alleviate his symptoms."
"I don't want to be a babysitter anymore."
Uehara Naraku furrowed his brows.
"I don't want to see this guy either!"
Tony Stark's expression turned ugly again.
Originally, after Nick Fury finished speaking, Tony Stark was intending to forgive Uehara Naraku, but then this guy started talking about not wanting to be a babysitter?
"Do what you should do."
Nick Fury refused their request, patted Tony Stark on the shoulder, then patted Uehara Naraku on the shoulder: "Well, it looks like you two are getting along just fine…"
"..."
Where does it look like we're getting along fine!
If in the future they could become companions, then they must interact as equals, at least in Nick Fury's eyes Uehara Naraku was doing pretty well.
And most importantly…
Who knows what methods Hydra will use to contact Tony Stark next time, Uehara Naraku should be the strongest combat agent in S.H.I.E.L.D., he's the only one who can protect Tony Stark's safety.
"Report any emergencies to me immediately."
Nick Fury left these words before leaving hurriedly.
After dealing with Tony Stark's matter, Nick Fury must urgently return to Washington to report Hydra's reactivation trouble to the Security Council, at least he needs to use this as a reason to start expanding S.H.I.E.L.D.'s influence.
If the future Avengers Squad is the top combat power, then the countless agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and its intelligence channels are the backbone supporting the Avengers Squad's actions.
If Hydra resurfaces, it's indeed a significant problem.
For S.H.I.E.L.D., if Hydra, their old adversary, truly revives, it presents S.H.I.E.L.D. with a real opportunity for emergency preparation, enabling them to counter even greater crises than Hydra.
Like the recent suspected alien incident in Mexico State in the southwest, that's what's giving Nick Fury more of a headache.
This world...
Or rather this universe, has never been so peaceful.
Compared to the reappearing Hydra on Earth, those potential aliens descending on Earth are the most troublesome entities, especially remembering that in his youth, Nick Fury had once experienced the crisis of aliens attempting to destroy Earth.
After Nick Fury left.
Tony Stark looked at Uehara Naraku, hesitated for a moment, then spoke: "Uehara, you need to apologize for deceiving me before, or else I won't…"
"I'll stay outside this house."
Uehara Naraku suddenly tossed a syringe to Natasha, then quietly stepped out of the room: "As long as Mr. Stark doesn't leave, I won't interfere with anything you do."
At that moment, his back appeared particularly pitiful.
This man only liked to work silently, as if he never enjoyed explaining anything, and occasionally, his petty actions might be his only way of venting emotions.
Tony Stark suddenly understood what Nick Fury said, that Uehara Naraku wasn't good at lying, and was even less articulate than him.
"This is someone who cannot be understood."
Natasha Romanoff walked up to Tony Stark, glanced at the side of his neck, and suddenly jabbed the syringe into Tony Stark's neck!
"Wait..."
"Don't worry."
Natasha's voice was unexpectedly gentle, filled with maternal affection, calming Tony Stark a bit before she explained: "This is lithium dioxide, it can temporarily alleviate your symptoms, allowing you to work with peace of mind."
Seeing the bluish-purple veins on Tony Stark's neck subside, Natasha softly continued: "Agent Uehara Naraku has always been a meticulous person, he noticed your condition, which is why he asked me to give you a shot of lithium dioxide."
"That guy..."
Tony Stark's brows furrowed once more.
Uehara Naraku, who appeared cold on the surface but was actually warm inside, made him feel a bit like they were two of a kind...
The world is strange.
If anyone were to feel pity for Uehara Naraku in this world, it could only prove one thing: they haven't experienced enough of life's harshness.
This world isn't just Tony Stark's domain where he hasn't faced much of society's cruelty, far away in Washington, Security Council Minister Alexander Pierce is the same.
Just as Tony Stark felt some sympathy for Uehara Naraku, Uehara Naraku was outside the villa contacting Alexander Pierce of Hydra, reporting on the meeting between Nick Fury and Tony Stark.
"I understand, well done."
Alexander Pierce praised Uehara Naraku's efficiency, then issued a new order: "Continue to stay by Tony Stark's side and uncover the one pretending to privately collude with him!"
"A fake?"
"Exactly."
Alexander Pierce's voice carried a sudden anger: "Someone is impersonating us in secret, perhaps it's some daredevil small organization..."
Since Alexander Pierce urgently contacted all the Hydra high-ranking members he could reach, and after confirming no unauthorized actions were taken, he decided to eliminate the impersonators!
Even if it was some remnant leftover of Hydra, Alexander Pierce intends to eradicate them, for the greater good, sacrifices must be made!
"Find them."
Alexander Pierce's calm words carried a murderous intent: "Before the plan is completed, any so-called Hydra uncovered by Fury must be impostors..."
"Yes."
Uehara Naraku earnestly accepted the order, then hesitated, expressing his concern: "Director Fury hasn't yet suspected us, but I'm worried that this might lead to him speculating about whether Hydra exists within S.H.I.E.L.D.…"
"Don't worry."
Alexander Pierce couldn't help but let out a low chuckle: "If it's just one or two Hydra members, it would indeed be dangerous... but who knows how many people are truly hidden within S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
Speaking of Hydra's hidden agenda within S.H.I.E.L.D., Alexander Pierce couldn't hide his pride: "Hehehehe, now we let Fury know only what we want him to know..."
"...Hehe, indeed..."
Uehara Naraku couldn't help but laugh softly.
The last sentence sounded a bit familiar!
