Chapter 966 - Chapter 758: The Big Bad Wolf and the Little Lamb

Hermione always believed that every decision she made was well thought out, so she rarely regretted her decisions.

For example, in the third year, she was busy to the point of exhaustion every day, and she never regretted taking all those courses.

But today, she regretted, and it was the kind of regret that made her want to hit her head.

"You really saw Hogwarts from a thousand years ago?" She stared at Harry. "And you even attended a class?"

"Yeah." Harry, who was talking to Ron, casually responded, "To be precise, I only attended ten minutes of the class. I couldn't understand what was being taught."

Then he continued speaking to Ron: "Did you know? The Fat Lady wasn't there in the beginning, there used to be a knight's portrait hanging there."

"Could it be Sir Cadogan?" Ron asked.

"No, it was someone else." Harry said, "The person looked tall, but I've never seen them in the castle."

Watching the two engrossed in discussing a painting, Hermione felt even more upset.

A wizard from a thousand years ago teaching classes, what a valuable opportunity Harry missed... just to see a painting?

Hermione couldn't understand. She truly regretted not agreeing to substitute for Harry last night.

If she had agreed, she wouldn't only have listened to those precious lessons but also seen what the original library looked like.

What a great opportunity, and it was missed just like that!

At this point, Harry had finished talking about the painting and started discussing Helga Hufflepuff among the four founders, completely unaware that Hermione's eyes were red with frustration.

The four founders?

Hermione had never wanted a Time Turner so much, so she could go back to last night and give herself a hard slap when refusing Harry.

"Hermione, what's wrong?" Ron finally noticed her unusualness and asked out loud.

"I'm fine." Hermione took a deep breath and gulped a big glass of iced pumpkin juice.

Whether it was the cold drink that worked, Hermione suddenly thought of something.

"Harry." She hurriedly asked, "Did you say it was Kael who took you to the Room of Requirement?"

"Yeah." Harry said, "He had a key-like thing, and only when you put it on the wall can you open the door to the Room of Requirement, what's up?"

"Nothing." Hermione shook her head and spoke no more, just staring at the plate in front of her, lost in thought.

Meanwhile, on the eighth floor.

Kael encountered a rather awkward situation; he couldn't get out.

The door to the Room of Requirement seemed blocked from the outside, no matter how hard Kael tried, he couldn't open it, even with the bronze door ring.

He yelled Rowena Ravenclaw's name loudly several times, but there was no reply.

Kael was puzzled, why was he suddenly locked in here, and worse, he was starting to feel hungry.

The Room of Requirement had no food, even Rowena Ravenclaw couldn't defy Gamp Transfiguration Law.

In this situation, Kael... well, he could hold out for quite a while.

After all, his suitcase had plenty of prepared Tebo legs, along with a herd of Tebo pigs and regular livestock; besides, there were fish in the lake... This was arranged by Hagrid when Kael felt bored some time ago.

Initially, he did this to save trouble; as the number of Fantastic Beasts in the suitcase increased, preparing food for them became a big problem. With these, Norbert and the others could hunt for themselves without him having to worry all the time.

So, Kael didn't need to worry about food for now. Though it lacked seasoning, it would still fill his stomach.

As for the water issue... both the Golden Cup and Aguamenti Charm could solve that.

"No way, I have to think of a way." Kael frowned, he couldn't just stay here forever.

Ravenclaw wouldn't make such a mistake; there must be something wrong somewhere.

Kael couldn't help but think of Dumbledore and Harry. As soon as these two showed up, there was trouble with the Room of Requirement; it was too much of a coincidence.

If only he had known, he wouldn't have let them come.

Kael muttered, but as he turned to find another place, he inadvertently noticed a very conspicuous golden plate in the auditorium.

Among the surrounding silverware, the golden plate stood out starkly, and Kael felt it looked very familiar. Judging by its shape and color, it seemed like the kind of plate students often used.

Kael instinctively walked over.

On the plate were two ham sandwiches, a fried sausage, a roasted potato... if there was a cup of pumpkin juice, it would be a standard Hogwarts dinner.

Kael tentatively reached out, touching the sandwich.

He felt the characteristic texture of bread at his fingertips.

Kael paused, somewhat incredulous.

Could this be real?

How could Ravenclaw's memory have actual food?

He picked up the sandwich and took a bite.

Now it was confirmed; this plate of dinner was indeed real and not something from memory.

He recognized the taste immediately after seven years; it was the handiwork of the house-elves.

Yet Kael was even more puzzled. The key was always with him; how did the house-elves manage to deliver food here?

And more importantly, how did the house-elves know to deliver dinner to him?
