Chapter 968 - Chapter 758: The Big Bad Wolf and the Little Lamb_3

The second-floor classroom where the class was being held five minutes ago has now turned into a blank white canvas, leaving nothing behind.

Next was the library, the stairs, the auditorium...

Almost in the blink of an eye, everything around had vanished, and Kael seemed to be in an unimaginably vast place.

Just when he hesitated about whether to hide in the box, with a sudden pulling sensation, the scene before his eyes changed again.

He appeared in a familiar corridor, with a blank wall in front and a tapestry of a dancing troll behind him.

Did he get out?

Kael reached into his pocket, only to find it empty... The key given by Ravenclaw was gone.

As Kael pondered what was happening, a piercing noise brought him back to reality.

It wasn't the sound of students playing around, but roars and the explosion of charms!

"No way!" Kael's heart skipped a beat.

He had no idea how long he had been trapped in the Room of Requirement.

A week? Two weeks? Or even longer.

Could it be that during this period, the Death Eaters had already entered through the Vanishing Cabinet?

But didn't Dumbledore know about the Vanishing Cabinet? He even had the headmaster's portraits watching, so how could the Death Eaters infiltrate the school!

Questions swarmed and crowded into Kael's mind.

But now was clearly not the time to ponder them. Without the slightest pause, Kael turned and ran towards the direction of the sound.

Luckily, he didn't encounter any students along the way; everyone seemed to be in their common rooms.

That was good news.

"Do you think you can escape?" Kael suddenly heard a beast-like, raspy growl.

He accelerated again, turned a corner, and entered another corridor.

Then he saw a person covered in brown hair leaping high, extending claws-like sharp nails, pouncing toward someone lying on the ground.

No time to think further, Kael immediately pulled out his wand and swung it forcefully.

An invisible rope pulled the person on the ground over, helping him avoid the attack.

The nails scraped across the floor, making a screeching sound.

"Thank you!" the person said, turning his head, suddenly froze for a second. "Kael? Is it you?"

"Cedric?" Kael was also a bit stunned; he thought the person looked familiar but didn't expect it to be Cedric.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came with Mr. Weasley," Cedric quickly said, "He told me the Death Eaters might attack Hogwarts tonight."

"You guys..."

"Look who's here, a little lamb..." Kael's words were interrupted by a howl.

The beast-like person was not angry that his prey was saved, but there was a trace of excitement in his voice instead.

"Watch out!" Cedric hastily said, "He's Fenrir Greyback, a werewolf. His strength is astonishing, and charms have little effect on him."

"Not running? Or knowing you can't escape." Greyback advanced towards the two step by step.

"I never thought I'd encounter those tender delicious lambs today, but here you are. Such a shame it's not a full moon."

His pupils were small, and he revealed wolf-like sharp teeth while speaking.

It made sense, as he was a werewolf after all.

"Wait a minute." Kael pointed to himself in confusion, "Did you just call me a little lamb?"

"Yes." Greyback licked his lips, his eyes falling on Kael's school uniform, "Only wizard students who haven't graduated count as tender lambs. I miss the feeling of my teeth sinking into them."

He came closer, and Kael's expression grew more peculiar.

"Is this guy nuts?" he asked, looking at Cedric.

"Greyback loves biting underage wizards, turning them into werewolves." Cedric said a bit nervously, "Be careful, Kael, don't underestimate him. The Ministry of Magic has been trying to capture him for years, but he always escapes."

"Of course they can't catch me!" Greyback snarled, suddenly lunging at the two.

But in the next second, he flew back even faster, crashing heavily into the wall.

"Tsk tsk, the big bad wolf got a taste of the little lamb's arsenal," Kael said with a smile, gently waving his wand.

A multi-flavored bean dropped on the ground floated into the air, transforming into a long spear about five feet long.

Kael waved his wand again, sending the long spear piercing towards Greyback. Although he dodged as much as possible, it still pierced his shoulder.

Greyback let out an angry roar, as he felt the intense pain in his shoulder and the sensation of his bones nearly shattering from the collision. He suddenly realized that this student he faced wasn't a lamb to be easily toyed with.

In fact, perhaps he was the real lamb.

The beast's instincts are often the most accurate, and Greyback, having escaped death many times, firmly believed in them.

He wanted to run.

But Kael didn't give him the chance.

In fact, as the spear flew, he had already prepared the second charm.

A massive force struck the tail of the spear, like a nail, making the spear already deeply embedded in Greyback's body to shorten again, pinning him to the wall. No matter how Greyback struggled, the spear didn't budge.

"I have some experience dealing with werewolves," Kael said with a smile.

He opened his box, and a shadow darted out from it at great speed. Cedric couldn't even clearly see what it was.

But before Kael could take further action, Professor McGonagall hurried over from the other side of the corridor.

She held her wand tightly, her lips pursed, and strode over.

Seeing Professor McGonagall, Kael discreetly waved his hand. Cedric heard some rustling sounds behind but they quickly faded away.
