Chapter 1009 - Chapter 772: The Knockturn Alley Welcome Gift (Part 2)

Kael also looked over, "Teeth, what kind of shop is this?"

Just as he was puzzled, two disheveled and filthy wizards walked out from inside.

"Leave here, wizards, this is not a place for you," one of them said, his voice hoarse, as if squeezed out from his throat.

This familiar voice, and those conspicuous yellow long nails, Kael immediately realized.

Werewolf...

That's right, Lupin mentioned before, Fenrir Greyback had high standards and would only select the young and strong werewolves to join him, while the old and weak ones he deemed unworthy could only gather in Knockturn Alley.

Thinking of this, Kael stepped forward and politely said, "Don't misunderstand, I'm here to find someone."

"That's none of our business," one of the werewolves shouted sternly, "Leave here!"

"Don't say that, if you are willing to provide clues, I can pay," Kael said, taking out a handful of gold coins.

"You have things hanging at your door, so you must also run some kind of business. How about this, tell me what I want to know, and these are all yours."

Seeing the handful of glittering Galleons in Kael's hand, the werewolf wizard's eyes instantly widened.

He looked at Kael's clean and tidy clothes and still somewhat youthful face, a flash of greed passed over him.

At this moment, driven by the gold coins, others around also moved, vaguely surrounding Kael and Newt.

The werewolf wizard quickly asked, "Let's be clear, this amount of money is not enough for gathering information."

"No problem," Kael said with a smile, seemingly unaware of his current predicament, "as long as it's reasonable, I have no problem with the amount."

"What do you want to ask?"

"A few months ago, a werewolf from outside came to Knockturn Alley, his name should be... Tolu, or something like that," Kael said, "Where is he?"

As soon as Kael finished speaking, the face of the werewolf wizard opposite him changed, and he asked in a deep voice, "What do you want with him?"

"Actually," Kael calmly said, "we just came from the Dark Forest, and his friend asked me to come and give him a message."

Upon hearing 'Dark Forest', the werewolf wizard's expression worsened.

"Wizard, what do you mean by this, do you think we are fools?" he glared at Kael fiercely.

At the same time, more werewolf wizards came out, surrounding Kael and Newt completely.

"You shouldn't have said that," Newt walked up to Kael, "after being abandoned by stronger werewolves, the Dark Forest is considered their disgrace, you just tore open their scars."

"I see," Kael suddenly realized, then said, "Well, if I apologize, will that make you feel better?"

"Apologize? Fine," the leading werewolf wizard said viciously, "one hundred Galleons, and I will accept your apology."

"No problem," Kael agreed readily and took out a large bag.

"Here are exactly one hundred Galleons, can you speak now?"

The bag made a crisp, pleasant sound as it swayed, and when Kael opened it, there was a collective gasp from around.

These werewolf wizards had never seen so much money before, the golden light almost blinded them.

"So, can you tell me where Tolu is now?" Kael asked again.

"No," the werewolf wizard grinned, showing sharp teeth.

"This one hundred Galleons is for your apology, if you want information, you have to pay another one hundred... no, five hundred Galleons!"

"Seems like you have no sincerity," Kael raised an eyebrow, "Five hundred Galleons, you really dare to ask!"

"Cut the crap!" another werewolf wizard snarled, "It's not up to you now, either obediently hand over another five hundred Galleons and get lost, or we'll find it ourselves! But if that happens, I can't guarantee what will happen to you."

He stared at Kael's neck, unable to help but lick his lips.

It was at this moment that Kael realized these werewolves were not as innocent as Lupin had said, the reason they didn't participate in war was not that they didn't want to, but because nobody wanted them.

Neither the Death Eaters nor Fenrir Greyback wanted them.

Kael turned to Newt beside him and asked, "What should we do now, they don't seem very sincere."

"I don't know either," Newt said, pretending to be helpless, spreading his hands, "Do it your own way."

"My way?" Kael glanced at the wand in his hand.

Immediately, the werewolf wizards became tense, some raised their wands as well, while others crouched, exposing their sharp teeth, ready to pounce on Kael at any moment.

In the next second, however, Kael lowered his wand and instead picked up the box in his other hand.

Seeing this, the werewolf wizards assumed Kael had compromised, planning to use Galleons to buy peace, and laughed shrilly.

"Hoh hoh, didn't expect you to be a coward, hurry up, don't..."

"Roar!"

A roar drowned out their trailing words.

Out of nowhere, a gigantic Fire Dragon appeared in front of them.

The Fire Dragon spread its wings, almost covering the entire street.

Norbert looked at the narrow street ahead, snorted discontentedly, and shot out two flames from its nostrils.

Then, before anyone could react, it swung its thick tail violently, hitting the werewolf wizard who had just threatened Kael, sending him flying like a cannonball crashing through a wall.
